    Excellent video. I’m going to do this to my 70… unfortunately when I ordered my kit I got one without the parking break🤦🏽‍♂️ Since you mentioned the company I’m going to call on Monday to see if I can get the parking break’s separate🤙🏽

    I just realized after watching this that I need to go back now and look at recentering my calipers. I don’t think I ever knew how to do that. At least I don’t remember the instructions tell you how to.
    Regardless I have to take them back off because I never adjusted the e brake properly. Ugh. I’ve been running them for 2 years without either accomplished properly. I think I’ve been running off fronts only. Thanks for the full tutorial.

      The calipers have some self centering ability but it is best to center them over the rotors.

    Man I’m currently putting basically the same kit on a 69 nova but my wheel studs are way to short sticking out that a rim wouldn’t even be able to be held on by lug nuts but I also need to get size 15 rims to meet clearance

    Great video, keep up the good work Mike... from another Mike (OldTimerMike). So, I'm curious about how you liked the Right Stuff rear brakes and especially the Emergency Brakes? I've heard its hit or miss with these. I'm also curious about the caliper orientation. On the DS you have the caliper located in the front, on the PS the caliper is located towards the rear. Any problem bleeding the brakes? And do you find the eBrake actually hold the car on a grade OK? I want to do this to my '69 Camaro, debating whether to use DSE shock/leaf brackets to put both shocks behind the axle as opposed to staggered. I'm not a drag racer just a cruiser so I'm not concerned about axle wrap plus I have Hotchkis leafs which are less prone to wrap up.TIA-Mike

    Put the pads in mine just like yours, but is there clamp that holds the outer pad in? Seems like it needs to be held in place

    Great job on explaining but I think you forgot to install the dust shield.

    Why use a single piston Cadillac caliper instead of something like a Wilwood caliper?

    Great video but you need to change your rotors around. The slotted part of the rotor goes against the grain.

    How did you get the rotor to fit around the axle?

    • @PhotomikesGarage
      @PhotomikesGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Had to grind the axle flange a bit on one side to get them to fit.

    What about the dust schields

      They gave me the wrong dust shields but I decided that I did not want to use them anyway. I think that it looks better without them as well.

    Nice job, except for the orientation (rotation) of your disc brakes.

    What brake pads does the rear use? And what emergency brake does it use? like off of what car

    • @cuzz63
      @cuzz63 ปีที่แล้ว

      the caliper is made to be the park/emergency brake, its got a mechanical lever and spring that sets it from the old cable.
