Maybe because the Gen 4 songs are calmer and have a happier tone, while still being great songs. I love the action type songs, but it’s nice to listen to the more laid back ones like this instead as well.

The first time I watched the semi final battle betwen Paul and Ash I was so happy that Ash won, but after years while I rewatched all the pokemon episodes I think that I'd be happier if Paul had won. What am I trying to say... Paul had his own methods of training pokemons and his pokemon liked the way he trained them (electavire, torterra etc.). The only one that didn't was chimchar. And here Paul 'failed' with training it because chimchar was a pokemon that fit Ash's training style. That's all. The sad thing is many people started to dislike Paul because of 'how he treat his pokemon'. And isn't that fascinating that Paul, the person that used to hate Ash so much ended wishing him good luck and everything? 'Let's battle again really soon!' it's in my opinion the proof of how Ash/Paul relationship has changed.

But I just wanted to add that after the last battle with Ash, Paul DID say to his electavire 'Thank you, good battle, Electavire'. So... Was he really such a bad trainer? I mean, maybe he wasn't able to train chimchar properly, but he was able to evolve his elekid into electabuzz and then into electavire. Also the same is with his torterra. Also, when Reggie told that Paul lost to the rest of his pokemon, they all seemed very disappointed. Would they, if they really hate or be afraid of him? Because personally I can't imagine it. Also, it hurts to see people comparing Paul to the guy that left his charmander in the forest alone in the rain. Because Paul isn't making that stuff to show off. He's just demanding. Maybe sometimes too much but showing off is not his goal. And Paul did save Ash and his pikachu in the forest twice. Come on! He is not a heartless trainer after all!

I'm a Sinnoh baby and it was my first series, but unfortunately my parents banned me from Pokemon while Gen 4 was running until Gen 5 took its place... They thought Pokemon was too violent for me and was a bad influence.
Im actually a sinnoh baby, started with platinum and pearl and my first started was piplup and turwig (piplup for pearl and turtwig for platinum) (but dont worry im also a huge fan of unova and alola :D)

I really miss Dimond and Pearl. If you were born in the late 90’s early 2000’s chances are you might have heard this. Dimond and Pearl was just a great series. Ash Brock and Dawn had such a great dynamic. Paul was the franchise best rival. Ash and Dawn really were similar if you think about it but that just what worked. Ash was questioning maybe what he was doing up till this point wasn’t correct. A layer was added on him. Granted XY/XYZ gave him another layer with Greeninja. I just miss this series. If A random Pokémon character got a spin off show then I think Dawn would work.
I don't know I always kinda hoped that dawn and may would travel together or something because they do get along pretty well and it would be interesting to see them being rivals in contest and such

Correction: XY/XYZ was a mistake, and is a blight on the franchise. Greninja was the edgy, weeb pleasing tumor that cost Ash the Kalos league. Amourshipping is utter CANCER that brought out the worst in the Pokémon community. And overall, those series overall sucked out any and all fun and joy of the Franchise, until Sun and Moon came along and healed MANY of the wounds inflicted by Kalos. Oh, and the Kalos saga turned Ash into a generic shonen protagonist. -_- Okay, rant over.

I suprisingly started watching Pokemon in xy. Didn't know Pokemon existed (yes I knew the games were a thing, but didn't know there was an anime). Watched the first 8 series after xy, skipped diamond and pearl for the bad English acting, skipped black and white, you know why. Just finished watching diamond and pearl for the first time ever, subbed. It was glorious.
The Animation and Pokemon from the Sinnoh look good looking and stronger. (Arceus the God the only) Diamond and Pearl is the probably the most memorable serie. Along with the most cheerful and optimistic Pokegirl Dawn and Cynthia, most thoughtful champion
Sinnoh. The region where Ash lost the league because of bullshit. Hate him as much as you want, you have to admit that allowing people to compete in the League using pretty much only legendaries (for all we know) is bullshit. Obviously, this is why legendaries tend to be banned from tournaments irl.

Diamond and Pearl was literally my childhood, and after rewatching, I can happily say it is still my favorite of all generations ❤️ Ash, Brock and Dawn, gym battles and beautiful contests, the rivalry between Ash and Paul, just so wonderful I love it all

I either watched the B&W anime or D&P anime first when I was in elementary school, Grade 2-4, it was also on in the mornings so I watched it while getting ready for school. Sadly I didn't watch a lot or love Pokemon at the time but that's the reason why I get the most nostalgic feel and almost get teary eyes listening to their themes again. XY was beautiful and an awesome gen, but I don't get a really good feel about it, and SuMo to me didn't feel like a proper or real Pokemon gen. I wish things were like they were before. So I can finally like Pokemon when good gens still exist(This is my opinion btw.).

I never watched dp while it was running, but I remember watching it while I got home. My big brother was a fan of pokemon and along with reruns had recorded the whole dp anime on this vhs tape. I remember I would come home, doing my homework, and just watch that. Those memories are the reason I love this series
I remember when the Jewel of Life was airing on Cartoon Network, but I was on my way to a party with my little league soccer teammates. My family and I get there and I realized that all of my teammates were watching the movie! We watched the entire thing and we all loved it! Definitely one of my favorite memories being a Pokémon fan!

Ever since, Sinnoh has been my go-to. Kanto wins in nostalgia, but Sinnoh wins everything else! Best story by far, best rival, amazing and creative gym and contest battles, and best character development in the history of the Pokemon anime. Sinnoh will always have a piece of my heart. ❤

I'm a Sinnoh baby and it was my first series, but unfortunately my parents banned me from Pokemon while Gen 4 was running until Gen 5 took its place... They thought Pokemon was too violent for me and was a bad influence.
Im actually a sinnoh baby, started with platinum and pearl and my first started was piplup and turwig (piplup for pearl and turtwig for platinum)
(but dont worry im also a huge fan of unova and alola :D)

I really miss Dimond and Pearl. If you were born in the late 90’s early 2000’s chances are you might have heard this. Dimond and Pearl was just a great series. Ash Brock and Dawn had such a great dynamic. Paul was the franchise best rival. Ash and Dawn really were similar if you think about it but that just what worked. Ash was questioning maybe what he was doing up till this point wasn’t correct. A layer was added on him. Granted XY/XYZ gave him another layer with Greeninja. I just miss this series. If A random Pokémon character got a spin off show then I think Dawn would work.

Correction: XY/XYZ was a mistake, and is a blight on the franchise.
Greninja was the edgy, weeb pleasing tumor that cost Ash the Kalos league.
Amourshipping is utter CANCER that brought out the worst in the Pokémon community.
And overall, those series overall sucked out any and all fun and joy of the Franchise, until Sun and Moon came along and healed MANY of the wounds inflicted by Kalos.
Oh, and the Kalos saga turned Ash into a generic shonen protagonist. -_-

For me, Unova is Pretty great actually, It shows that every Ash's Companion has their own rival. Sure, Team rocket was becoming more serious at the start, But they still change.
Fuck the Black and White anime XYZ and DP are both still the best seasons so far.
When it says "Stand up!" it always sounds like it's saying "Sinnoh!". It fits either way though.

This is my favorite pokemon anime theme song because it teaches so many life lessons and kids that listen to it and actually look at the lyrics understand they can make this world a better place. And that's heartwarming.

The first opening is just "be the best there ever was". This opening has the most substance (in my opinion).
I never saw Galactic Battles but after listening to this once I fell in love! definitely one of the best openings!

This song will always hold a special place in my heart. This is the first Pokémon theme I ever heard as a child and without the Sinnoh anime I may never have gotten into the franchise.
All three of those things are the same thing as me. This song is my personal favorite because I grew up watching Sinnoh, and I may have never gotten into the franchise without it.

I suprisingly started watching Pokemon in xy. Didn't know Pokemon existed (yes I knew the games were a thing, but didn't know there was an anime). Watched the first 8 series after xy, skipped diamond and pearl for the bad English acting, skipped black and white, you know why. Just finished watching diamond and pearl for the first time ever, subbed. It was glorious.

Hate him as much as you want, you have to admit that allowing people to compete in the League using pretty much only legendaries (for all we know) is bullshit. Obviously, this is why legendaries tend to be banned from tournaments irl.

I have it, and Boomerang shows Pokemon every night at 10:00 and 10:30 EST. PM right before Dexter's lab comes on.
Diamond and Pearl was literally my childhood, and after rewatching, I can happily say it is still my favorite of all generations ❤️ Ash, Brock and Dawn, gym battles and beautiful contests, the rivalry between Ash and Paul, just so wonderful I love it all

man i still remember the days of sinnoh and some of hoenn those were the days when on raining days at my school they would turn on cartoon network and pokemon would always be on before class sadely i didnt get a pokemon game until X but pokemon was still awsome in my child hood
I either watched the B&W anime or D&P anime first when I was in elementary school, Grade 2-4, it was also on in the mornings so I watched it while getting ready for school. Sadly I didn't watch a lot or love Pokemon at the time but that's the reason why I get the most nostalgic feel and almost get teary eyes listening to their themes again. XY was beautiful and an awesome gen, but I don't get a really good feel about it, and SuMo to me didn't feel like a proper or real Pokemon gen. I wish things were like they were before. So I can finally like Pokemon when good gens still exist(This is my opinion btw.).

My big brother was a fan of pokemon and along with reruns had recorded the whole dp anime on this vhs tape.

I remember when the Jewel of Life was airing on Cartoon Network, but I was on my way to a party with my little league soccer teammates. My family and I get there and I realized that all of my teammates were watching the movie! We watched the entire thing and we all loved it! Definitely one of my favorite memories being a Pokémon fan!

Oh, the nostalgia of my reintroduction to Pokemon! For years when this came out I hated it, but one day I decided I had to sit down and really give it a chance. Thank God I did! Ever since, Sinnoh has been my go-to. Kanto wins in nostalgia, but Sinnoh wins everything else! Best story by far, best rival, amazing and creative gym and contest battles, and best character development in the history of the Pokemon anime. Sinnoh will always have a piece of my heart. ❤
