She hopefully won’t, as that would signal the end of adaptation from novel to anime. Or I mean her growing up would be better than never seeing her grown up but Miya kazuki deserves so much more love!!(she is the author)
Everyone finds it weird because as a watcher you aren’t supposed to find out until she is no longer a child. It’s a weird time but supposedly it’s going to work out okay…
The age difference is large but not particularly abnormal. It is like 14-15 years. of course it is bad when you talk about a guy who is 20 and a girl who is 6 but but if the guy is 40 and the girl is 26 then it is not as bad.
@@niclaskiviharjustrom7040 and the girl here is only a child in body. She is a complete adult and might even be a few years older than ferd. And of course she is not gonna go into a relation with him while her body is still that of a child's.
Not entirely in the idea that her mind is that of a 22 which is actually older than Ferdinand when he first gets introduced. They also don't get officially engaged until she turns 15 which is the legal age of that world (and during that time period even in our world it wasn't that odd) So if you couple the fact her mind is older than his and thus can comprehend everything around her (which is exactly why theres a legal age of consent as a child can't comprehend what's going on however Myne isn't a child she is an adult with an adults awareness she just happens to be in a child's body so its not a weird as you'd think
They never dating in this age, they never kiss or something, they only get "together" (engagement) in the very end of the novel. I don't ship her at that age with him, but he never saw her as a daughter and he learned to have affection and to see her as a family he never had, besides only in the end he got romantic interest when she's about to turn 15 and ready for marriage, which in this world is normal as it was in the middle ages of our world. I find this coupling gross she is 7 years old. I know it's a show and she is not a real person but if the show couples these two I will stop watching. I don't understand fans of this couple when she is a 7 year old and he is a grown man. I'm sick of grooming anime.
@@jenniferkisner9094 it was already said in Ascendance of a Bookworm season 2 episode 1 that there is no age difference in nobles. Didn't you see anime? It is the teacher student relationship In noval it is already ended with there engagement happing
When Myne meets Ferdinand, she's 7 and he's 20. That's 13 years difference. Even in today's society, that's not really taboo. A child in a romantic relationship with an adult is inappropriate. However, Myne and Ferdinand don't get engaged until she's of age. Which means she's an adult. And she gives consent. Personally, I don't see this relationship as "grooming" because he's not the one raising her. He's part of her life as she grows up. I agree that the relationship is more teacher and student. He's more like the neighbor next door or the friend of a parent. If Karstedt, Sylvester or Fran got into a romantic relationship with Myne then I'd agree it was grooming. But he's just an adult that she knows. I'm assuming you think he's grooming her because he tells her how to act, talk and dress. In S2E21 he says himself that Myne will have to go into noble society at some point, and when she does he wants her to be prepared. That's because he was shunned/kicked out/thrown out of noble society cause he's the son of a "mistress". Because he's an illegitimate child, he had a really hard time growing up and fitting in. Once his father died he got tired of fighting against noble society and retreated to the temple, again he's 20 when he meets Myne. It's never stated when Ferdinand enters the temple other then that it was recent. So lets say a 17-19 year old is ran out of his own home and family. AND he was raised as the HIGHEST nobility. So, if he had a hard time fighting in - there's NO DOUBT Myne will. So he's trying his best to help her fit in. Not just because of her power, but because he knows she's really weak and won't live long as a commoner. In the beginning Ferdinand, see's himself like Myne. A young kid whose SUUUUPER powerful, who has no allies and everyone either wants him out of the picture or to use him as a tool. So he helps Myne equip herself with as many tools as possible to protect herself.
@@BecauseShesStar A teacher, student is a power dynamic and that is grooming. When did anime get like this? Myne was sent to bring down noble society not join it. The whole story is building to books and reading for all and the breaking of the class powers. Do you not read history and what the printing press did? If a guy meet a 30 year old and he was 13 years older that be one thing. If you have a child and she had a teacher that knew her when she was 7, would you still be okay with her dating him when she turned 18? I hope your answer would be no because he had a power dynamic over her and you'd think he started grooming her when they met when she was 7. This is not normal. This is gross. I really hope they don't do a romance in this anime. Why can't they just make a whole some anime? Why can't a teacher just be there for their student? Why do you look at a 7 year old and a 20 year old man and think ya they'll be a couple? What's wrong with the world? Why can't we see kids and just let them be kids?
