- Ken Poznaniack is an incredible modeler, and his HO railroad shows it. The Layout was started in 2000 not 2020 as stated in the video. There are many custom-made automated coal loaders and displays all over this multi-level railroad. There is an operating track laying train that I estimate to be over 25ft long and works! Many items ive never seen like the giant Cat bulldozers and many custom scenes. The big coal dozers are Kibri . There is a rail laying train with the rail made by Plastic Rail Protoloads in NC. Operating sessions on the layout are very impressive . Fred Eisen trains on TH-cam also uploaded an ops session video on this layout as well @fredeisen7401
This is amazing. I remember that layout at Edgewood Arsenal. My mom worked at the proving ground and took me to see it on one of their open house days. It was fantastic, and really blew me away as a kid. I wish I could have seen it more than once.
Wow! I have no words... That's just the best detail I have ever seen. OOOOOO!!!!
Absolutely _incredible_ work all around. This whole operation is about as immaculate as it gets.
You gotta be kidding.😮A working Railroad. And he did all this from 2020? Insane amount of work. If you got money, time, and space, i guess anything is possible. Blown away. Thank you for showing !❤
The date was a mistake nevertheless its quite incredible
Layout started in 2000
I almost feel like I needed a hard hat it felt so real. Amazing!
Più guardo questi capolavori e più mi viene voglia di cambiare hobby e......darmi all'ippica....Semplicemente meraviglioso. Mario da Roma Italia
My mind is blown. This is art at its finest. To call it beautiful would be an understatement. Amazing, phenomenal, spectacular. Thank you so very much. Works of art like this need not be forgotten, nor destroyed.
This has to be the most realistic scenic railroad I've ever seen
U sir are a living icon!! Thank u
Not even 2 minutes in and just want to complement how amazing this is. Looks phenomenal.
In case you may not know, in real-life coal loading the engine has a special gear that allows it to pull the train so slowly through the chutes. I find it intriguing to see a model railroad modeling so much coal and still be awesome to watch. As you all know, most model railroads feature beautiful natural scenery. Great job, Ken!
Al, all I can say is Wow!!!! The structures & scenes are so detailed. Thx
What a dude. With imagination talent and brains! This was just too cool.
I remember that first time seeing Ken's railroad and I was blown away, the vids doesn't do it any justice, seeing this masterpiece in person is just breath taken.
Thanks Al for sharing this my friend and my hat goes off to Ken.
I have to get back over there.
The loader, ahh I seen that before. The unloader was cool. That coal shovel loader was worth a video. Very nice work. Good order, painting is a nice pallet. Thanks for showing your wonderful layout.
That welded rail train is awesome... Totally unique... One of the best model railroad things I've seen on the internet
Born and raised in Baltimore. I can immediately tell the actual locations Ken modeled on this amazing layout. The accuracy is spot on, great work and attention to detail throughout.

This is a truly amazing loyout
Stellar!
Used to wait on Ken at Kleins on Gay st. Very nice guy
I know that exact area along the Susquehanna. At Safe Harbor hydroelectric damn. I rock climb there weekly (for 35yrs). The rock is a dark schist with quartz intrusions and drill holes very evident. Details that would enhance this already amazing layout.
Wow, @Al Pugliese Trains, I am so impressed and now even motivated to get back into the sunshine and work on my layout.
That quarry with that huge mining machine. OMG! That was just so cool to see. The fun little things too like the bathers all taking a swim and sitting around the pool. The Pumpkin patch. The Mooners 'out' on show. Just gobsmacked to see that rail train, and it even lays rail. Outstanding!
At around 9:30, just after the wedding, you show and talk about the Parking Station and mention that nobody does such a kit. Scale scenes do that in card, OO (1/76) and N (UK) (1/148) . In Japanese N scale (1/150) look for Aoshima and Greenmax for multi level parking stations. I do like the super-size of Ken's though.
In fact, Al, I wouldn't mind seeing a longer 'visit' if such was ever contemplated. I am sure there is so much to see still, even after your great coverage seen today.
Thanks and this weekend I will be posting another great layout update on Dave Moltrup and running on my layout so stay tunned and subscribe and like the videos helps
Unbelievable!
Had to share on facebook, incredible

@@alpugliesetrains9753 have been subscribed, usually watch on my roku tv. Such a shame that videos like yours are not as well known as the stupid cheesy ones.
You might look at other ways to get funding if needed, like patreon, sponcered links, mech
I recognize that police boat!
It’s an old die cast. Nice repurposing 😊
I thought about getting into model RRing, after seeing this, I think I’ll forget that idea. Lol
You can still enjoy the hobby by becoming an operator helper on a great layout! Always ask many great layouts I feature desperately need helpers and operators
There's always the Brio option! LOL
Great Replica of the John Deere Train it actually starts in Chicago at the BRC yard on the NS 16G comes through Elkhart Indiana and onward to Baltimore Maryland...💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Awesome model railroad! I've visited Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg 4 years ago, but I've never seen something like this realistic, industrial railroad. Except the bucketwheel excavator from Revell and the big 'Cat's' (in fact those are iconic Komatsu D575's, much larger than Cat's biggest dozer: the D11) everything looks very realistic. The bucketwheel excavator on display is too big, but I know there's no model of a smaller stacker/reclaimer available. In that case it has to be scratchbuilt. I live in the Netherlands, in the neighbourhood (app. 70 km) of the three largest RWE lignite mines in Germany where those huge bucketwheel excavators are in operation. I visited the mines 3 weeks ago.
I collect 1/50 scale Caterpillar and Komatsu mining equipment as well as heavy equipment haulage and windfarm haulage and a few large cranes.
Very cool Al and Ken!! Believe it or not, a friend of mine sent me here (dont know how I missed this video). However, Ken is the brother-in-law of my friends wife
He was very gracious and let me and a friend Bill Garvin come to film it since we could not make the ops session.
@@alpugliesetrains9753 Very Cool! Im doing another TH-cam Meet & Greet at the GSMTS in October
Wow.
FYI, @ 28;00 the tamper machine that is fully functional is a German machine,,a bit pricey, but there are some Bachmann ones you can get. I have a bunch of MOW units and cars.
Matty Gunn has a channel on here that has an actual rotary coal dumper and then the car comes out goes through a spring switch all by itself just like with this model. It’s somewhere in Northwestern New York I believe but it’s amazing to watch.
this is really something else. is ken poznaniack a human?
That's crazy 🤪
If it's modeled after Big Musky, they dismantled it with explosives in 1999.
