It looks to me very much like they are not in a relationship. The interaction in season 2 part 2 does not look like a couple would interact, more like "mutual crush but nobody has said anything yet".
Well, technically Ninjago did end years ago. At least twice. But then it was revived. One misconception that bugs me is when people conflate two stories from the Serpentine history. There was a war, mentioned in season ... 3, I think? Or was it already in 2? A war that started when the Serpentine tried to warn the humans but the humans misunderstood. After that, the Serpentine decided to live underground. And then there is the war between the Serpentine and the Elemental Masters (and probably some other people) that we got some details about in seasons 1 and 4. It ended with the Elemental Masters using the flutes to imprison the Serpentine in their underground homes. I have seen several times how people explain that this is a retcon when actually, it is just two different wars. It is pretty clear, with one being centuries ago and the other 40 years. In the first one, we even see the Devourer, much smaller than it is in the present, while veterans of the second one, like Pythor, have never seen the Devourer and don't even know where the city it was imprisoned under is.
I’m pretty sure the story you’re referring to is from season 3, and if it is, quick add on: The Great Devourer doesn’t appear in that story (I’m pretty sure), because it isn’t about the Great Devourer, it’s about the Golden Master. It does make sense that these events are different from the Serpentine Wars, but I think this mainly stems from how convoluted Ninjago’s lore can be. The Serpentine Wars were only confirmed to take place 40 years ago in season 7, and I’ve heard people says this decision makes the lore more confusing. Overall, this potential misconception possibly comes down to Ninjago having pretty confusing lore.
@@omaralsofi9855 The Great Devourer is not mentioned in the story told, but seen in the accompanying images. The war was not about it, but it was there. And the events are explicitly separate. Different timeframe, different outcome, different start even. Also, I am pretty sure the Serpentine Wars having been fourty years ago was confirmed in season 4. At least it was confirmed there that it was less than a hundred years ago, as Garmadon and Misako met before the war and Misako is a normal human, but I am pretty sure that 40 years is actually mentioned.
@@moritzlinden7169 Actually the Great Devourer is explicitly mentioned in the story. Acidicus says "after the Great Devourer failed to scare the unbelievers underground...". I think ypu are correct that this and the Serpentine Wars, indeed being 40 years before most of the show takes place, are separate events. It would also explain how the Devourer was sealed and the fangblades were made as it had to have happen sometime after Garmadon's bite and s1. I do think though that the prophecy of the golden master is likely to have been one of the reasons for the many human-snake conflicts history as the two species never really got along. We do know that Chen used misinformation and trickery to start the war, perhaps using the prophecy and misinterpreting it on purpose to manipulate both sides. We know from the shatterspin comics that Chen was very knowledgeable about all sorts of historical things so I think that idea isn't too far fetched.
would one be that the Skypirates stayed on the dark Island because we never see them in prission (from fandom) its defenetly my head canon and a small fisher like village would be cool to see in DR or a mentening of it
3:40: That always confused me, but I'm still a little confused because aren't there only 15 now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Cursed Realm and Djinjago are still destroyed, right? And they were both two of the realms, so aren't there are only 15?
I was definitely one of those people that thought Cole and Vania were attracted to each other, but since, as we all know, Cole is "alive but gay" they clearly aren't. Or it was one way, and that's how Cole figured out he wasn't attracted to women, which has absolutely no evidence, but it's now my headcanon
5:55 i rewatch the oni trilogy and basically all of garmadons actions were done because he believed he was only the evil side of garmadon and all the things he learned was from harumi
Question for you, which Jay design do you prefer. I personally love the og one and the new one is the only one that doesn’t look anything like his old design
@Dat_SheepMC Not neccessarily, Morro came back once before in day of the departed, the cursed realm was destroyed then too, he'd probably have been in the departed realm, though I'm not quite sure how the Departed realm fits in with the merge.
Wait if Preeminent died and all her ghosts went to the Departed Realm, then Cursed Realm is gone right? And Djinnjago is gone too bc of that right? So we’re down to 15 realms?
When the Legacy short "Golden Hour" was released, I theorized that it spawned a separate timeline which ended up being featured in Season 8 onwards via the butterfly effect. In Dragons Rising S2: Truth And Lies, Ras even says that Master Wu caused The Merge. Though Golden Hour's canonicity was originally intended to be subjective, Doc Wyatt says it's canon.
Ninjago time travel doesn't create timelines it alters the present. "Change something change everything", the royal family came into being due to the events during Wu's battle, heavily implied by the short.
Biggest misconception is people thinking Seabound nerfed the FSM and made it so that he didn’t create the actual realm of Ninjago even though it was revealed that he didn’t in legacy of the green ninja 13 years ago.
So from what you’ve jsut said that means that wu could use destruction and thus probably had an oni form, so why didn’t he bother trying to attain it in crystallised?
Even though Wu has his element of creation to unlock destruction he would have to find his true potential with it the same way Garmadon which would have taken more time that they did not have also Lloyd already tapped into his Oni power, making teaching him how to control important because he already tapped into it also, he is the only person that can unlock the full potential of the power of FSM making him less likely to be affected by destruction negatively with the right training then any other person
So a little thing about the 16/17 realms thing You must likely are right about their being 17 realms, but 2 things 1: In the scene where the Ninja enter into the spinjitzu room of the grave, there are 16 doors, the Jay says it, and you can actually count them 2: In DR S2P2 Cole says there are 16 portals, but this could also be with the temple being number 17
This feels like something that could have been either improperly communicated or changed after. I feel like there's more evidence for there being 16 in total than 16 besides ninjago. Alternatively, it could be that the cloud monk guy was talking about the departed realm, despite it not usually being involved in realm-based activities. I feel like they could realistically do either and have it make sense, and the decision will probably be made in Dragons Rising at some point. I think the departed realm being the 17th would make the most sense, making both interpretations technically correct in different ways.
The only one of these that ever actually confused me was the 17 realms thing. I’ve recently heard a lot of people saying 17 realms and I was like what the heck is going on?!
Wait, this could just be me being stupid, but if Garmadon and Wu have access to creation and destruction thanks to their bloodline, could that theoretically mean Kai has water and Nya has fire too? I mean obviously they don’t, but by that logic, could they?
A ninjago fact i havent heatd anyone talk about that the original zane is in the departed realm. In day of departed we see cryptor after being defeated by zane his soul floats up along with his minions to go back to the departed realm. What does this mean even robots can go to the departed realm. This means our original zane that died in season 3 is their and probably watching the other ninjas having fun with a clone of himself
How would you guys feel about a potential time travel season of ninjago? (Not like Hands of time but something akin to the episode in season 1 or 2 can’t remember Where that have to go back and keep the timeline of the show intact) Like for the 15th anniversary or something like that, imagine Sora in Rebooted holy hell
@@MikhailSamunin the cursed Real still exist, since it is at the same time also a creature. She was inside the departed realm, but now that the merge happend she probably got free wich make it 16 realms again.
@nightlunastar While the Preeminent appeared in the Departed Realm, she didn't appear to house any ghosts inside her anymore meaning that the realm she was connected to had collapsed.
@@MikhailSamunin uh this could be an interesting discussion, realms stay realms even when they is no one left, but the departed realm is also a creature so maybe she just deserve this Titel when she has Ghosts or other alive Things inside 🤔 we schould probably ask doc Wayt
Coz Wu knows the dangers of oni powers. Lloyd was warned by Mystake about the dangers of oni powers, plus you need to use extreme emotions to tap into them. Wu isn't that kind of guy. Heck he barely ever uses creation so he definitely wouldn't use destruction.
@ I wouldn't say that's true all the time. Wu and Garmadon were equal in strength for the majority of their life. Garmadon was stronger after he came back from the realm of madness and got his 4 arms until he was purified. At that point neither used their powers much so that wasn't the reason Garmadon was stronger. After he was revived he was stronger and this time it was due to him using his powers more effectively and commonly than Wu. With the oni form he is significantly stronger than Wu.
Another misconception could be that the ninja are children. From what i remember of interview they actually have no set age at all and as a result the show bounces back and forth between treating them like teens and like adults. (Like in season 3 they were full on teachers and treated like proper adults. Or in season 1/2 where they're shown being able to rent out an apartment on their own without "an adult". Yes characters will sometimes say theyre teenagers but writing wise they are still definity in the grey zone. (This is all more in reference to people claiming specific ages for them like its cannon to critisize others and the series writing.👍 not targetting hc's, cause i myself like to head cannon specific ages throughout the series.)
i would lowk like to see the writers side of wu controlling create and destruction (along with garmadon) lloyd got his golden power from the first spinjiztu master creation and golden power isn’t the same thing
quote from borg. i take fenwick (who introduced the concept of 16 realms to the ninja)'s word regarding the realms over borg (someone who just found out about the realms) looking at it realistically though, that line is probably just a writing error.
I don't like arguing about Vale but I just gotta say no the argument does not start and close with "I don't like her/him like that" yes it is true that they don't date or outwardly express more than a smile in terms of any feeling other than platonic feelings (and a smile is literally nothing) but just because a character says they don't like the other doesn't mean it's true check any piece of media ever and to reiterate I am not saying that there aren't reasons that are in the show for them not to like each other I'm just saying that this specifically isn't one of them
Okay, Ill admit that that means that there are 16 realms. but then why, not just in the show in it's entirety but also in the EXACT SAME SEASON do they say the 16 realms. I think by what they said that they meant that there was 16 realms but I'll probably be proven wrong.
5:30 when the Munce queen is flirting with Jay, she asks if he is betrothed (another word for engaged), and Nya responds with, “Yes. To me!” Pretty concrete proof that the yin/yang promise is their equivalent to engagement.
No because when djinjago got destroyed only the stones and stuff did so like the clouds were still there and stuff so it could merge as for the other realm...yeah I don't know about that

I think the Yangyang thing it’s like a promise thing some couples do that if they’re not ready for marriage I still want to be together
We know from the shatterspin comics that Chen was very knowledgeable about all sorts of historical things so I think that idea isn't too far fetched.
when i first saw the new character designs i concluded that they had just grown up and that was it
would one be that the Skypirates stayed on the dark Island because we never see them in prission (from fandom)
its defenetly my head canon and a small fisher like village would be cool to see in DR or a mentening of it
No there is 16 realms, djinjago got destroyed and (unlike the departed realm) never came back
Actually there are 15, the cursed realm was also destroyed.
Harumi didn't resurrect ONLY Garmadon's evil.
She resurrected Garmadon AS Evil.
3:40: That always confused me, but I'm still a little confused because aren't there only 15 now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Cursed Realm and Djinjago are still destroyed, right? And they were both two of the realms, so aren't there are only 15?
2:52 so a out of universe retcon
Yes
I was definitely one of those people that thought Cole and Vania were attracted to each other, but since, as we all know, Cole is "alive but gay" they clearly aren't.
Or it was one way, and that's how Cole figured out he wasn't attracted to women, which has absolutely no evidence, but it's now my headcanon
Lloyds golden powers are not creation. Its something different
yep
5:55 i rewatch the oni trilogy and basically all of garmadons actions were done because he believed he was only the evil side of garmadon and all the things he learned was from harumi
Question for you, which Jay design do you prefer. I personally love the og one and the new one is the only one that doesn’t look anything like his old design
i love this ninjago channel. i love listening to it in the background while playing other games
0:03 and you know what else is massive?
1:48: I was unfortunately guilty of shipping them, but nowadays, I ship Cole with Geo. 🖤💜Or Cole with Cake. 🍰🖤
Bruh shipping cole with geo is just stupid i can't
Cole x cake is the best🍰❤️! There is nothing wrong with shipping Cole x Vania, tho, although they don't have feelings for each other
I still ship lava idk if i could part with it
@alexadamns8115 why would you ship that they are literaly like brothers 💀
@@Ruben99677 still better than kai x garmadon (i've seen things)
There are actually 15 realms presently, the Pre'eminant and Jinjago were destroyed.
Well if you watched dragon rising there is a jjyn that is restoring jinjago and if morro comes back that means the cursed realm is still active
@Dat_SheepMC Not neccessarily, Morro came back once before in day of the departed, the cursed realm was destroyed then too, he'd probably have been in the departed realm, though I'm not quite sure how the Departed realm fits in with the merge.
Well Cole and Vania aren't yet a couple but they will sometime at that point they weren't but that doesn't mean they can't become lovers
Wait if Preeminent died and all her ghosts went to the Departed Realm, then Cursed Realm is gone right? And Djinnjago is gone too bc of that right? So we’re down to 15 realms?
yeah
Even though Wu has his element of creation to unlock destruction he would have to find his true potential with it the same way Garmadon which would have taken more time that they did not have also Lloyd already tapped into his Oni power, making teaching him how to control important because he already tapped into it also, he is the only person that can unlock the full potential of the power of FSM making him less likely to be affected by destruction negatively with the right training then any other person
because crystalized is stupid
I'll still headcanon that the design change was due to the time thing, I like it!
So a little thing about the 16/17 realms thing
You must likely are right about their being 17 realms, but 2 things
1: In the scene where the Ninja enter into the spinjitzu room of the grave, there are 16 doors, the Jay says it, and you can actually count them
2: In DR S2P2 Cole says there are 16 portals, but this could also be with the temple being number 17
@HelloChick Ninjago was the 17th realm in the grave doorway thing
the doors in season 5 arent representing the realms jay was just speculating about what they were
This feels like something that could have been either improperly communicated or changed after.
3:50 it's true that they're are cannonicly 17 realms... but saying 16 realms COULD techniclly be also true, due to Preeminent "Dying" in season 3
That was in season 5
@@legosnek But the consequences are still, cause I would need a proof that Preeminent "Came From the Dead", and become a full on Realm again
@KingComingEdits it didn't, well it did once but then died again
In Ninjago, Logical Villains, is a Myth.
The only one of these that ever actually confused me was the 17 realms thing. I’ve recently heard a lot of people saying 17 realms and I was like what the heck is going on?!
5:30: Hang on, so give or take, Jay and Nya have been engaged for, like, ten years or something?
yea😭its silly
Wait, if the 16 realms are referring to the realms connected to Ninjago, could that possibly mean there are other realms which aren’t?
Wait, this could just be me being stupid, but if Garmadon and Wu have access to creation and destruction thanks to their bloodline, could that theoretically mean Kai has water and Nya has fire too? I mean obviously they don’t, but by that logic, could they?
That isn't gonna stop them from shipping them 😂
8:14 Damn, I didn’t know that
3 uploads this week? Have the source dragons blessed us, or am I dreaming?
Yes you are
I think that jay found somthing like the ying jang promoce because the last wedding he was on did not end well (nyas death)
You need to rewatch S4, Zane and Pixal clearly state he's the same soul
YES!! Finally, someone else believes that Cole and Vania are just good friends!
4:10 i mean theres still 16 realms but its not the maxium amount
In my headcanon the ninja did change appearance because of the disturbances in time, even if it's not hard canon.
6:38 he died in season 5 brudda
Where is Shintaro now
We still need to subtract Djinjago and the the cursed realm so there are a tottal of 15 worlds
Wait, so are you saying that Lloyds golden Power is actually creation and Garmadon and Wu also have it? I am confused, help :')
It's cool I ship him and GEO
How would you guys feel about a potential time travel season of ninjago? (Not like Hands of time but something akin to the episode in season 1 or 2 can’t remember Where that have to go back and keep the timeline of the show intact) Like for the 15th anniversary or something like that, imagine Sora in Rebooted holy hell
People forget that two realms get destroyed
Also don’t forgot djinjago is kinda gone now so there are 16
@@BillyCrystalHunter As is the Cursed Realm.
Thank you!! This is very very helpful 😅
There aren't 17 realms, only 15. The cursed realm was destroyed s5 and jinjago in s6 but I haven't watched dragon rising so idk
A piece of djingago still exists inside a bottle, a djinn named arrakore has it.
Loved the video I just have issues with Zane (in general)
thank you! its annoying when that happens
Bro called me an idiot in 16 different languages parallel to English
Yay I passed the misconceptions test
my boy is back!
How come Garmadon can control creation and destruction but Wu can only control Creation? I never seen Wu use his Oni powers
@ makes sense. Out of the brothers, Garmadon seems the most powerful because he can control both elements more easily than Wu
How can someone see the ninjas as kids
No way we got back to back crusty uploads
i would lowk like to see the writers side of wu controlling create and destruction (along with garmadon) lloyd got his golden power from the first spinjiztu master creation and golden power isn’t the same thing
Wow, I had all these misconceptions...😅
(except the last two)
but in the temple , cole counted 16 doors including the monastery of ninjago to 16realms
the door leading into the monastery was the seventeenth realm door (confirmed by doc wyatt)
@@Crusty783 so why did cole clearly said 16
because there's 16 other doors excluding the one they just went in
"it is common knowledge that ninjago is one of 16 realms" ???
quote from borg. i take fenwick (who introduced the concept of 16 realms to the ninja)'s word regarding the realms over borg (someone who just found out about the realms)
looking at it realistically though, that line is probably just a writing error.
I don't like arguing about Vale but I just gotta say
no the argument does not start and close with "I don't like her/him like that"
yes it is true that they don't date or outwardly express more than a smile in terms of any feeling other than platonic feelings (and a smile is literally nothing)
but just because a character says they don't like the other doesn't mean it's true
check any piece of media ever
and to reiterate I am not saying that there aren't reasons that are in the show for them not to like each other I'm just saying that this specifically isn't one of them
5:23 nahhh they are promise rings
(don't take that seriously. I have no idea what they actual are)
Okay, Ill admit that that means that there are 16 realms. but then why, not just in the show in it's entirety but also in the EXACT SAME SEASON do they say the 16 realms.
Tommy andreason said Cole and Vania where up to interpratation or something.
I thought the confirmation that they weren’t romantically involved came from him??
@@missing_name that was Doc Wyatt
@Ekenebricks My bad, I think I was thinking about another character
4:18 erm actully 🤓 since djinjago and the cursed relam got destroyed shouldnt it be 15 realms?
No because when djinjago got destroyed only the stones and stuff did so like the clouds were still there and stuff so it could merge as for the other realm...yeah I don't know about that
