Just got this on game pass. It's absolutely fantastic - one of those games where you sit down to play at 7pm and the next time you check your clock it's somehow midnight. Highly recommended

Honestly, I absolutely love this game. The development, how it’s basically a free style to how you want to progress - all of it. It’s amazing. Though the puzzles can be a bit tiresome and long, the rest makes up for it!
Tiresome and long? More like broke for the sake of artificial difficulty. Once you leave the prolonged island everything become near impossible without looking up guides to find cheat items. I'm actually getting pissed off having to Google every little dumb thing in this game.
I got one over the weekend---a quest item sank into the ground and was irretrievable. I just reset and it was fine. Overall I'd say that was a fluke and the game is extremely polished and a blast to play. I don't care if this game is inspired by Zelda BOTW. I loved Zelda BOTW and I want more games like it. I don't get the complaining about the puzzles in this review. Yeah, they're a bit easier than BOTW, which is to say I can relax and solve them in a reasonable amount of time. If you want mind boggling puzzles this game isn't for you. Go play Braid or something. I love this game and I want a sequel.
I’ve had a couple crashes and once this morning when I spoke to the rooster before scouting the area it locked me out and the area stayed foggy. But other than it’s been great so far, couple of real lol moments.
you are lucky cause when my game crashes I lose my current saves even though I have the achievement. I still have to reply some missions. This has happen several times when I try to boot up the game.

playing it on ps4 slim. totally worth it. almost 45 hours in and i still have 2 more maps to clear. update 1.05: no bugs,glitches so far. framerates are stable most of the time. my personal goty so far👍 im glad i didnt hop the cyberpunk hype train😂
By far one of the best game Ubisoft have cranked out in recent yrs and one of the better games out there right now. it plays wonderfully, looks gorgeous and has a ton of smart puzzles to take on and combat system is satisfying.
I judged this game so hard at first being a true botw fan. But I gave it a chance in lack for better things to do and I have been playing non stop for 3 days now. I'm really enjoying it👍
I understand his gripe with this game but let's not act like BOTW didn't have the same types of short comings. You fought the same 6 enemy types everywhere I went. The shrines puzzles never felt challenging either and the combat in BOTW is much more simplistic than here. I loved BOTW I 100% that game. But let's be honest here.
Zelda and assassin's creed finally had a baby. This game is flawless, and creative in everyway. That's coming from someone who majority plays multiplayer games. This game actually drives me to play it.
General Grievous Depends. Haven't played a Ubisoft game in a while. This is my first one in some time. They are a little better but it is still sad how they just cannot seem to get so much right even when they use so many other game's ideas. It is a fun game but has quite a few frustrating moments due to some bad game design choices.

BOTW’s puzzles, mainly pertaining to shrines, were great because you had to use the world and physics engine to solve them. So although many of them weren’t incredibly challenging, for me and many others, they were exciting to figure out. This game doesn’t seem to have that.

@@onetimeforthebangbang6049 no botw didn't have block sliding puzzle like this one. Shrine puzzles are great not because they are extremely challenging but their creativity. They force us to use our abilities in unique way. It also force us to think differently to find solution of puzzle. shrine puzzles like ‛speed of light’ or shrine in tingle island which have really interesting puzzles. In those shrines, you had to use every elements of shrine and rune abilities to create your own path. These shrines also have unique alternatives. For example you can also use other item's properties like octo balloon's levitating property and durian fruit's sinking property. There puzzles are definitely force you to think differently but it is not very challenging because it didn't create complex use of ‛things’ which you can use in restrictive way and only one way which has complex path. Other Zelda games are more focused on whole dungeon as a puzzle even though it has puzzle like this. Shrine quests are also one of the best quests in any open world video game in terms of gameplay not story based. There are some basic shrines are also bad actually. Even many short shrines have great puzzle but the problem is of course it's size but many are long because of quests outside of shrine. But the biggest strength of botw is it's exploration. Botw definitely has the best exploration in open world games. It hides secrets with topological structures, forests, climate, etc. You had to explore every nook and cranny to find secrets. Many secrets are also hinted by NPCs which you had to find with your own exploration. You can find different hidden shrines, hidden korok seeds, hidden weapons or hidden small challenges or structures which van act as a playground for you or hiding some interesting secrets. World is filled with verticality to challenge or also help you to find secrets more. Quests also force you to explore and find new stuffs with your own efforts and many are also filled with new items. And most of the quests are unique and interesting.

The breath of the wild puzzles are extremely easy and straight forward as well. I dont understand his criticism of the puzzles when botw had the exact same thing.

Yeah rockstar made only 2 games in the last 7 years and still making more money than Ubisoft. And I think this year or 2019 CDPR dethroned Ubisoft as the most profitable video game company based in Europe with one game.
This game would have a higher score if it had Zelda on its name. The puzzles are very similar to botw, exploration as well, but it has some unique aspects which i’m looking forward to explore. Think it should be at least an 8.

This game will undoubtedly get overlooked because; A. It’s Ubisoft, and B. Because it was released during the holiday season alongside a lot of heavyweight titles. That being said, don’t sleep. Yes, it’s like Zelda, no doubt, but it’s still fun in its own way. There are about 10 million Demon Souls look-a-likes out there right now and the gaming industry doesn’t seem to have an issue with that, so let’s not start here. I picked up this game on sale and have been having an absolute blast so far. Give it a chance, may surprise you.
I see a lot of the reviewers points, I'm maybe 30 or so hours in and I'm really loving it way more than I expected to. But the issues he mentions about the puzzles, etc I can totally see his point although in my opinion this game tries and usually succeeds at putting a creative spin on most puzzles even if they are using the basic building blocks we've seen before. There's been quite a few times I couldn't figure out what the hell I was supposed to do just because they were very creatively designed. I imagine the reviewer was only afforded the time to just tackle the main story quests in order to get this review out on time, which meant he wasn't able to experience a lot of the side quests and the vaults (basically Zelda dungeons, and there are dozens of them here and all pretty well thought out) the game has to offer. I mean, he finished the game and still had a lot of skills and abilities left to unlock so I can guess he wasn't able to do much aside from the main story. Where I'm at now I've almost got all skills and abilities unlocked and I've barely even touched the main story and I'm having tons of fun with all the side quests. And the game is gorgeous, the world is awesome to explore. Although I will say one of the reviewers nitpicks can easily be shut down... You don't HAVE to reveal where everything is in the world before you go there if you don't want to. You have to go out of your way to do that so that kind of exploration the reviewer was looking for could have easily been had if he didn't purposefully go out of his way to make finding things easier. And even with that I still stumble upon new things all the time, that sight ability that reveals quests and items misses things all the time that aren't close by you, so if you venture out a bit you'll find all kinds of new stuff unless you just keep using your sight ability to find everything nearby. Anyway, this game would so far get a 9 out of 10 from me, at this point I think I might be liking it more than Valhalla and I'm a huge fan of those games. Just tons of fun all around and a great world to explore.

I'm having a lot of fun with the game. Love the colorful environment. It's not a deep game, and the comedy falls flat 90% of the time, but I have no regrets in buying it.

Even when you maxed your sword out, the hardest enemies are still hard to take down. The atmosphere, the feel of the game. The dialogue down to the soundtrack. It’s all amazing. This game looks like what Ubisoft Quebec's vision for an ancient roman mythological game without being tied down to the realism of Assassin's Creed. Definitely nice to have this as an option :)

Im playing on hard difficulty... played for 6 hours straight from launch at 12am ...and I had alot of fun ...need to work out a plan to stay set on doing one thing cause there's so much pulling me in different directions

Honestly had my doubts about this game but I have to say I am having a lot of fun playing immortals. Despite all the other great games that have just released, this game currently has all my attention. I’m playing it on ps5 and this game is actually very pretty. 60 FPS is definitely recommended

I hate when games are criticized for being “gamey”. If I have to choose between fun (but mythos breaking) puzzles, I’ll always go with fun
But this game has weak puzzles. It should be more interesting.
@@onetimeforthebangbang6049 no botw didn't have block sliding puzzle like this one. Shrine puzzles are great not because they are extremely challenging but their creativity. They force us to use our abilities in unique way. It also force us to think differently to find solution of puzzle. shrine puzzles like ‛speed of light’ or shrine in tingle island which have really interesting puzzles. In those shrines, you had to use every elements of shrine and rune abilities to create your own path. These shrines also have unique alternatives. For example you can also use other item's properties like octo balloon's levitating property and durian fruit's sinking property. There puzzles are definitely force you to think differently but it is not very challenging because it didn't create complex use of ‛things’ which you can use in restrictive way and only one way which has complex path. Other Zelda games are more focused on whole dungeon as a puzzle even though it has puzzle like this. Shrine quests are also one of the best quests in any open world video game in terms of gameplay not story based. There are some basic shrines are also bad actually. Even many short shrines have great puzzle but the problem is of course it's size but many are long because of quests outside of shrine. But the biggest strength of botw is it's exploration. Botw definitely has the best exploration in open world games. It hides secrets with topological structures, forests, climate, etc. You had to explore every nook and cranny to find secrets. Many secrets are also hinted by NPCs which you had to find with your own exploration. You can find different hidden shrines, hidden korok seeds, hidden weapons or hidden small challenges or structures which van act as a playground for you or hiding some interesting secrets. World is filled with verticality to challenge or also help you to find secrets more. Quests also force you to explore and find new stuffs with your own efforts and many are also filled with new items. And most of the quests are unique and interesting.

I actually stink at the puzzles in Zelda, I'd give the control to my son to figure them out. So I'm actually ok with simple plain puzzles lol.

The breath of the wild puzzles are extremely easy and straight forward as well. I dont understand his criticism of the puzzles when botw had the exact same thing.

The puzzles destroyed this game it was worst part and sadly the game is mostly puzzles
This game would have a higher score if it had Zelda on its name. The puzzles are very similar to botw, exploration as well, but it has some unique aspects which i’m looking forward to explore. Think it should be at least an 8.
If it had the Zelda name, it probably would've been a better game altogether.

This game will undoubtedly get overlooked because; A. It’s Ubisoft, and B. Because it was released during the holiday season alongside a lot of heavyweight titles. That being said, don’t sleep. Yes, it’s like Zelda, no doubt, but it’s still fun in its own way. There are about 10 million Demon Souls look-a-likes out there right now and the gaming industry doesn’t seem to have an issue with that, so let’s not start here. I picked up this game on sale and have been having an absolute blast so far. Give it a chance, may surprise you.

I see a lot of the reviewers points, I'm maybe 30 or so hours in and I'm really loving it way more than I expected to. But the issues he mentions about the puzzles, etc I can totally see his point although in my opinion this game tries and usually succeeds at putting a creative spin on most puzzles even if they are using the basic building blocks we've seen before. There's been quite a few times I couldn't figure out what the hell I was supposed to do just because they were very creatively designed.
I imagine the reviewer was only afforded the time to just tackle the main story quests in order to get this review out on time, which meant he wasn't able to experience a lot of the side quests and the vaults (basically Zelda dungeons, and there are dozens of them here and all pretty well thought out) the game has to offer. I mean, he finished the game and still had a lot of skills and abilities left to unlock so I can guess he wasn't able to do much aside from the main story. Where I'm at now I've almost got all skills and abilities unlocked and I've barely even touched the main story and I'm having tons of fun with all the side quests.
And the game is gorgeous, the world is awesome to explore. Although I will say one of the reviewers nitpicks can easily be shut down... You don't HAVE to reveal where everything is in the world before you go there if you don't want to. You have to go out of your way to do that so that kind of exploration the reviewer was looking for could have easily been had if he didn't purposefully go out of his way to make finding things easier. And even with that I still stumble upon new things all the time, that sight ability that reveals quests and items misses things all the time that aren't close by you, so if you venture out a bit you'll find all kinds of new stuff unless you just keep using your sight ability to find everything nearby.
Anyway, this game would so far get a 9 out of 10 from me, at this point I think I might be liking it more than Valhalla and I'm a huge fan of those games. Just tons of fun all around and a great world to explore.

Sometimes I don't agree with it, but it's their opinion. But the best way to shield yourself against anyone with a motive it to just check multiple sources, and preferably ones you trust or relate to their taste.
Is there something about this review that you disagree with exactly? So badly that you think it's doctored somehow? It seems consistent with everything I've seen about this game. I don't understand what your problem is.
To be fair this game is really boring
I'm having a lot of fun with the game. Love the colorful environment. It's not a deep game, and the comedy falls flat 90% of the time, but I have no regrets in buying it.

Even when you maxed your sword out, the hardest enemies are still hard to take down. The atmosphere, the feel of the game. The dialogue down to the soundtrack. It’s all amazing. You gotta get the game man😊😊

This is Breath of the Wild by way of Fortnite graphics and unfunny writing, imo. The demo has a Sixth Sense "I see dead people" reference. Terrible.

Has no one yet caught on that's Ubisoft true business model. Not really just about selling copies anymore. It's about cashing in them microtransactions. Why literally every game is open world with loads of things to do and has a rpg system in place..

This game looks like what Ubisoft Quebec's vision for an ancient roman mythological game without being tied down to the realism of Assassin's Creed.

Honestly, its an absolute gem of a game. Most haters are just pathetic fan boys who need to grow up and stop judging a book by its cover, because once you take the game for what it is, you'll enjoy it so much more.
Just finished the game. One of the open world i never got bored or felt grindy doing all side quests.

Im playing on hard difficulty... played for 6 hours straight from launch at 12am ...and I had alot of fun ...need to work out a plan to stay set on doing one thing cause there's so much pulling me in different directions

And you don't really explore. Its like any Ubi game. Go to a place, press a button to reveal icons on map. Do the fetchquests, rinse and repeat.

Honestly had my doubts about this game but I have to say I am having a lot of fun playing immortals. Despite all the other great games that have just released, this game currently has all my attention. I’m playing it on ps5 and this game is actually very pretty. 60 FPS is definitely recommended
