It's pretty funny how your first interaction with cuno is after the tribunal. Waking up feeling like absolute garbage and finding a weird fucking gremlin in your room.
Great run! You got a time in Glitchless that looks like one using stat glitch on first glance; hella fast! :) I think I might have an explanation for the quick save softlock you mention in the description: When clicking at your room's door after 21:00 clock and Kims starts his whole goodbye thing, saving the game is temporarily disabled (even manually saving is greyed out in the menu) until some point when Kim's model reaches his door or rather starts moving through it (exact point can probably be checked by looking at when saving isn't greyed out in menu anymore). When you enter a loading screen while saving is disabled, for example going up the stairs to Klaasje, it causes the game to glitch and saving doesn't get enabled again. My theory is that your fix for the softlock (clicking the bubbles) works not because clicking the bubbles is directly necessary for the fix, but rather because it takes long enough for loading to be enabled again before you enter the loading screen on the stairs. I didn't have to counteract this actively during my last used route because I went for the meds in the bathroom before going up, wasting enough time anyways.
Thank you! I might just post this same run to the unrestricted category. I'm not all that interested in down patching and that world record run is pretty well optimized from what I remember. That's interesting about Kim. I figured I would have stumbled across a time-gated reason for the soft-lock in my testing but maybe not. I might go explore that more but not sure it adds much benefit to the run as the 3 green bubbles act as a sore of consistent timing method.
Off the top of my head, I would say all dialogue. Partly due to the increased text speed and reduced lag with reading but mostly due to the consistency of where the dialogue options appear on the screen. This makes navigating the dialogue much easier. Of course this would not matter if you memorized every input needed for each dialogue tree.
It took 27 minutes for this man to find the killer, and in the end they just left him in the village
He’ll be faster in his way back then them, anyway
this is an unusal speedrun category, usually people do the punch cuno any%
Tbh sometimes child abuse gets a little passé and gauche
Wow you solve the case as fast as possible and the RCM just fucks you over and leaves you to die in a shack!!

Holy shit I’ve never seen that ending before
Happens if you both drink alcohol and don't take Wasteland of Reality during your run. I think it might also require Kim not being there as well?
lol that shivers check really screwed you

I did test and yes its just timing that matters. The quick save and load returns when Kim's model disappears into his room. Thanks for the heads up!
Riveting dialogue
For everybody curious: yes, this is the only legitimate way to play disco elsysium
Woulder what kim would think about this
The human can opener living up to his name
Are you just hitting the 1st dialogue option every time?
Would you say the downwards input makes all dialoguing faster or only really the book skip?

@@DocWock interesting. thx for the answer!
did... did lieutenant Kitsuragi die? 😢
If he gets shot in the tribunal he just gets sent to the hospital, he’s okay, just not in martinaise
how did you get the money at the start? great run btw
Joyce can give you money on your first day
looks like they talked to joyce, but not sure what dialogue option they picked
begged for money from joyce
