These prebuilts remind me of the weird-ass PC I left at my grandma's house. It's a E5 2640 v2 with 16gb of RAM paired with the mighty GT 210. Fastest email/tax machine in the country.

I think those prebuilts are miners reselling prebuilts they removed the cards out of
I’m sure a lot of them will be, yeah, but I know in the UK, with regards to eBay, there are tons of these prebuilts which are near identical in spec and price, _all_ with GT 710’s in them. A lot of them use the same outrageous marketing pictures, too.
They put them in cheap (but usually decent looking) cases with LED fans, list them as gaming PCs and hope somebody takes the bait. Unfortunately, I was stupid enough to buy one about 3 years ago. I just wanted a PC again and my laptop was having issues, so I thought I might as well get something cheap that looks nice, and I’ll replace parts over time. Didn’t care what GPU was in it, because I wasn’t planning on using it for gaming, and it was only meant to replace a cheap Acer Swift laptop as my main Linux machine. Even haggled the guy down on the price, because I knew it was going to be old components.
Ended up being an Intel Desktop board from 2012 with no name DDR3 RAM running at less than 700mhz for some reason (was able to bump that up to 1333 in the BIOS), and an i5-3330. I put Linux on it and it was fine for everything I needed. The seller listed it as a machine capable of running a whole host of games, including GTA V and Fortnite. I ended up installing Steam to see what it _would_ handle, and managed to get 25-30fps in Tomb Raider, which was a shock. I installed Minecraft with my custom pack of over 130 mods, and it actually handled that fine with a dropped render distance.
That PC now has an actively cooled 2GB GT 1030 in it, and I’ve replaced the whole thing with a custom build I bought in parts over a couple months, because Steam sales kept emptying my bank account and my library got big enough that I’d better start actually playing them all.
Sorry for the essay, but yes, most of these here appear to just be chancers trying to shift ancient component stock they’ve pulled out of secondhand desktops. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if a bunch of them are from miners trying to recoup some costs from their old rigs, though.
The gt 710 systems have been on eBay UK for years. I remember seeing them in 2017 when I bought my first PC. Even with my limited pc knowledge at the time, I knew the gt 710 was a stinker. (I ended up getting an i3 3220 & gtx 1050ti system which I later upgraded the CPU to an i7-3770) eBay won't do anything about the listings as they have good reviews from people who don't know better and it's sad.
I mean I would buy a small oem's prebuilt then just put these $30 cards in. Actually holy crap they're $60 now.
@@efftee Eh, I just needed something cheap and the GPU didn’t matter at all for my use case. Didn’t see any point paying out for a better system when all I was gonna do on it anyways was write code and other basic tasks. By the time I decided I wanted to game on my PC, I’d already started buying parts for a new build. But yeah, people buying these thinking they’re good for gaming is keeping the listings up.

@@mikeycrackson they do it to people who don't know better, like 45 year olds that want to buy a computer for their kid and they see this and they're like "Tom is a huge Warzone fan, it might not be the best but it will probably work really good so he can play Fortnite and Warzone!" and then they get it and it can't even properly run GTA 5 (a game from 2013) at 1080p or even CS:GO at 900p (from like 2011?!? at a decent framerate, let alone Warzone.

It's probably people buying prebuilts, taking out the graphics card, replacing it with the 710 and selling it.
I think people legit do that in my country. The official website of the system integrator has no model that was intended for gaming with a gt 710. But if you look at pther websites you see a lot of the same systems except with GT 710s instead of what they were intended to be sold with.
I remember about a year ago my friends would ask me "Is ThIs a GoOd PC fOr FoRtNiTe" and most of the time they'd be showing me pcs with GT 710s in them. I swear I'm the only person in the Fortnite community who has multiple brain cells.
Why do they even sell? So sad that pc noobs get hooked in it.
Because people who buy these are for kids who play fortnite, rocket league etc.. And these games could run on a toaster.
I think a lot of them are people who are just getting into gaming or gifts from parents. I know my mom would have no clue and would go off price to ratings if she were to gift one. Thank God I'm in my mid 30s lol.
in my experience selling prebuilt systems its because folks looking for more affordable prebuilts know little to nothing about computers.
The specs are alien to them and they don't go onto youtube etc to look up performance of each part they just see fortnite in the marketing and go "oh my child plays fortnite, perfect"

Based on the very first image...its likely a prebuilt that got the much-more-functional GPU taken out, replaced with a 710, and dumped onto Amazon.

For some reason when the laptop version of the 3060 underpowered were coming out of Walmart for $1000, quickly returned my laptop that I had just gotten with a 2060 that cost me $1200

When you’re living in South Africa (like I was until recently) the PCs seem so much more expensive than they are when you convert them into dollars

@@Cobras. that’s the good ending for the prebuilts. Bad ending is the dismantled them and smelts them all down into a wearable plastic and metal coat only to later be tossed into a landfill never to be turned on again

Gotta wonder about the authenticity of those positive reviews with a GT710, somethings out of place there.
I love how all these Ibuypower systems have completely BS stock photos that I'm guessing don't actually represent what you will end up with. The GPU in the photos is clearly not a GT 710 unless there are 710's out there with completely pointless dual/triple fan coolers.
2 years on and there are hundreds of these on Ebay, prebuilt and 2nd hand, and they're all GB£180+......
some of them even have a cpu from almost 2 decades ago lol, with rx 580
180GBP? that is a rip off LOL. I bought one like 7-8 month ago new for 80 EUR (that includes tax)
The only reasoning I can think of is most ryzen doesn't have an integrated gpu, so ANY gpu is needed just to use to display to a monitor. Plus, easier to buy that cheap, then upgrade

One of my friends bought a GT710 system a few years ago on ebay. Turns out it is an HP prebuilt in one of those cheap CIT cases. The cpu is worse than the gpu- an i3 550 1st gen. £200 for a pc with an £2 cpu.
Lets be real . The prices in my country are pretty high . But at least we dont have these kinds of ( Gaming PCs) lol
7:30 That price is horrifying. For $750 my brother managed to get a Ryzen 5 3600, 16 gb RAM, and a 5600 XT for his kids from Best Buy. I'm not a fan of premades but it beats him accidentally wasting his money on something like that.

It boggles my mind that the APU/iGPU in a lot of these CPUs will smoke the doors off of a GT710 but they still ship them with GT710s.

It's really annoying to see cards like the GT 710 exist when older faster cards could be brought back using cheaper nodes to stem the GPU supply shortage. I'm thinking something like the upper ranges of the Maxwell line in Nvidia with additional VRAM as an option to bring the cards up to date - 12GB versions of the 980 , 980Ti , and 8GB 970 would serve many well.
I found 1-2 systems on german Amazon loke one having an FX 8300, an 8GB DDR3 single channel RAM and a GT 710 for whooping 999€ from shinobee gaming PC Ultra 😂

Last GT710 based "prebuilt" I found was a yard sale Optiplex LGA775 with a Pentium D during the peak of the Scalpocalypse.
Finally, a PC that the GT710 actually makes sense for!

$450 in Australia from Amazon gets you an old i5 based Dell that has a GT 1030. Though at the same time they use the OG/terrible 500GB HDD. And they might be the DDR4 GT 1030.
GT710 scam PC however seem to be starting at $780 here (i5 9400F), with other models from the same seller going up to a 3700X...while still costing $1,400 with a GT 710.
It's fucking crazy. You can just slap some RGB fans on it and call it a gaming PC and people will buy it for way too much money.

Hi, the last one you looked at that showed up in GBP currency, I'm pretty sure it's a shop near me that I first bought a PC from when I first got into it. They do alot of things well and they were usually priced well too before the current market. I got a gtx 1660 ti system for around 500 quid, I have since built my own pc and currently still have the 1660 ti because I'm not paying scalpers prices. I'm sure I still have pictures of the pre build they sent me if you want them

Here in Poland we have something called Allegro and there I've found +/- 550 PCs called "Komputer do gier" (just gaming pcs) with GT 710 :D

My friends younger brother was given one of these computers as a gift and I was absolutely flabbergasted that it had a 710 in it. Thankfully I had an old 960 sitting around he could use as a stop gap but it's gross that these companies got away with this.

I feel bad for the people who buy these, but at the same time it doesn’t take more than 30 minutes of your day to check if you’re getting scammed for those systems so…kinda deserved
True, but I don't remember how many times I had to be the bearer of bad news to some younger gamer whose family got them a new pc for Christmas and they thought they could finally compete.
@@valkasolidor6727 oh yeah, happened to me once, when i was like 15 my dad wanted to surprise me with a “gaming pc” but he wouldn’t let me pick it bc he wanted to surprise me with it so i didn’t know until it was christmas and i was opening my brand new gaming pc just to be greeted with a 1200$ HP all in one. Damn that sucked, i pretended to love it bc it was a nice gesture but i felt so bad that he got scammed out of that cash. The guy at the store told him “yeah it has dual core processor so it’s very fast” he looked so excited while telling me that and i felt so bad lol.

Dawid a correction at 7:14 the HP PC was actually was an RX 5500 non X variant and it is much better then an RX 550, so just saying some people might not end up buying it after watching this video.

Just curious, at 10:30 were you saying "Yen" (Japanese currency) or "Yuan" (Chinese currency). If it's the yuan (aka RMB) then your 3,300 is actually more like $633.75 Canadian, not $33 as you stated.

I think I had a gt 730 once in a HP best buy build when it was new...that doesn't say much because I have also gamed on a GT8800 and had an Asus ROG with a 260... the one laptop with the blue and white cover.
I bought the 800 dollar gt710 didn’t do research just bought to buy still use it just put a low profile 1650 Fortnite over 200fps without optimization and way more just need to do research
