Congrats on the car. Looks amazing 👏. I picked up a red 2018 model 3 long range dual motor about 3 weeks ago and love it. If you look in the compartment in front of the cup holders, you will see two usb wires plugged into two USB A sockets towards the front. The two usb plugs power the two wireless phone chaging spots located above. If you unplug on of the wires you can plug a USB drive into one of them for your dash cam storage (Recommend around 128GB). After go into your car settings and you will see an option to format USB storage. Run that and you're all set to use the dash cam feature. Hope that helps 👍
The hard disk for that model/year is in the centre console I believe, they moved it into the glovebox in later models so thief's couldn't take the hard drive / evidence once they broke in.
Very nice! I've been looking for a 2022 M3 LR from Hertz. I know they have a lot of milage, but they are selling them at a good price. The only problem is, once they post the car on their webpage it's gone within a few hours. Also, I know most of these cars were used as Ubers and probably abused. Maybe it would be better getting an older M3 LR with only one owner for a decent price.
The usb port is in the storage box in front of the cup holders. The usb should be in there. There’s only one so you need to get one of those multi adapter hubs
I got my red 2018 LR RWD M3 from a Volvo dealership in August! I love the car Unfortunately I got the dreaded squeak that happens to this model often so I do have to get that repaired. Otherwise the vehicle is perfect
@@Myksgarage bushing area It was a soft squeak at first when turning but it’s quite loud now that it’s been a few months I was just going to let it be but it’s too loud and I use my car often so it’s just way too annoying now to ignore
No, I didn't get the EV used tax credit. I don't qualify for it, but I'm gonna try to sell it through a dealer so that the next buyer can qualify for it. I'm still looking into the dash cam feature.
I'm seeing affordable prices up here in Canada for the '18, '19. Is it really okay to test the EV market and use it as my new daily? I'd love to know if it has a processor and hardware that will still be valid for the next 10 years.
just picked up a 2019 SR+. FSD Comparability means you can add it later. Just got the FSD Beta, not sure how i like it or not. After a few days you'll see the upgrades (as you probably know) in the tesla app. Really not sure how that initial cost to activate FSD works, my build sheet doesnt say it, but its enabled on my infotainment screen. My first Tesla, not first EV. been watching your content for a while. Thanks for all you do! Which teslas do you still have?
hey just wanted to ask as i am looking into the same car but the AWD model. after the 8 year warranty runs out, do you intend on selling it? the dealership i want to buy from mentioned an extended warranty with a third party company. do you reckon i got for it?
Hello. I found a 2018 M3 lomg range fir $17,000 but it has 100,000 miles. Do you think thats a good deal and is buying a high mileage tesla a giod decision

Good tip, thanks for sharing!!

Thanks, I'll have to check that out!
What a clean car! Must've been lucky to have gotten a clean delivery!
Yeah it was a nice find
The paint and wheels look immaculate.
Yeah it's been very well taken care of
Congratulations on the car, looks amazing.
Thanks!
RWD is as good as AWD in my opinion as you get power from your rear wheels as opposed to FWD which dont get much traction on snow so great choice
Yeah that's what I was thinking was well. Thanks for your comment

Yeah those hertz cars are good deals!
I m just curious why you dont keep this one between your Model S 2013. The conditions of this Model 3 is just amazing.
Yeah I'm tempted to keep it!
Great video. Congrats on the purchase. I am looking at at 2018 M3 LR myself. Yours is great find with FSD, PPF, Hitch and Wireless chargers.
Yeah it was a nice one!
You have the usb in the middle console. Where the chargers are connected get TB or a 289gb works great. Unavailable will become available
Good to know
What’s the most reliable used model 3 to look for?
The newer the better, and RWD so you only have to worry about 1 motor
The usb port is in the storage box in front of the cup holders. The usb should be in there. There’s only one so you need to get one of those multi adapter hubs
👍
Can you transfer the FSD to any other Tesla you own? I was under the impresstion that it could only be transfered to a new purchase... Looks great!
It will only transfer to a new purchase
Thanks. I missed that if you mentioned it.

How much to fix?
@ it was $446 for both upper control arms
Did you get the used EV credit with it? Also any luck with sentry mode? Looking at 2018 myself thank you :)

How much did u pay?
I paid $19,500 plus tax. Seemed like a good deal for my area
@@Myksgarageit’s about 20k in Massachusetts
@@Myksgaragegreat price!
Mine was $29k in August before the price drop
There is one near me for 25k but I could apply the used EV tax credit for $4k. Still about $2k too high imo
@@danwhite2424 If it gets the $4k used ev credit you will end up at $21K. The selling knows this and actually is taking a cut of your rebate.
How are you finding these deals on Teslas?
Just looking at the local classifieds
Why did you go for this one over a newer 2021 version with the heat pump?
Price, and this one had FSD fully paid for. This video explains it in more detail

That's not high mileage for a Tesla, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it
Glad I saw this comment to because I’m thinking of doing the same purchase in a couple months
