Well climbed with style and panache! But it's been resurfaced hasn't it? That makes it a tiny bit easier, surely? (Avid reader of your books, fave climbs Bealach na Ba and Ben Lawers)
Damn well done! We have just done a motorcycle tour there and it was hard enough on them! I think the pass is undoable with the usual car traffic as if you stop, it is all over. Ade
Love the books - but it looks easy for you - you're too good a climber! To really paint the picture make this video with an average cyclist who would really suffer to get up it even with a compact. I do know (4 x Fred Whittons and I live locally) as I am NOT a climber at 92kg.
well done brilliant 👍👏👍
Did this yesterday o my days but made it up without stopping
Fantastic footage showing the true torment that awaits the unprepared. Chapeau
There's hill climbs and then there's a mad man's mission. You're amazing.
The last part is class, went over it the other week then up the other side, just as brutal!!!
Love this climb, a real lung busting leg burner. Great video mate and well done dragging yourself up that.

I'm a decent climber and this feels absolutely insurmountable!
Holy shit! Well done mate!

Please excuse my ignorance (novice rider) but what is the '39/27' to which you refer? Thanks.
39t front ring, 27t rear sprocket.
It's a very high gear
It's Hardknott, not Hardknotts....either way it's brutal 😩

I would do it in a 34/36. Otherwise, no.
Doesn't look that bad.
It is !
