And whilst this many locations may seem a bit excessive, it is only very slightly bc a lot of ppl want to see her, and even more ppl couldn't get tickets bc even with this many locations in just America, it is still not enough. Furthermore I would just like to point out that she isn't even number 1 on the list, she is no. 31 and no one seems to care about the other 30 infront of her. Also every other artist travels this much on a world tour, and if they don't is bc not as many ppl want to attend their shows. Also, some celebrities travel this much FOR NO REASON or when they aren't on a world tour. And ppl are allowed to think what they want, but please don't publicly spread this much hate, especially with all of the things going on right now, think these things don't publicly shame ppl not just taylor swift, anyone. Bc ppls mental health can rlly be affected by this, it might not seem that deep but you don't know about all of the other things that have already been building up inside of them and you never know which one singular comment or video can be someone's final straw - their breaking point.

think about it on a smaller scale. Oh, your neighbor litters, they just dump all their junk in the forest nearby. Does that mean you should copy them? No, you be the better person, and try to get them to do the same, instead of stooping to their level.
And in terms of scale, sure, the top 0.1% do pollute way more. But while they may pollute let’s say 100x more per capita, there’s 1000x as many people not in the top 0.1%. Idk the exact numbers, but the point is, there’s a lot of people, so if each of them does something small, it really adds up. Just because a small handful of people pollute a lot, doesn’t mean polluting a little doesn’t matter either.

If everyone besides them stopped polluting, emissions would drop 84%. Everyone else's pollution also metters. We should put more scrutiny on the rich, but that shouldn't mean that other people should be careless about their pollution.
And to clarify, the global top 1% is about $900,000 net worth, including about 19 million americans. We are talking about a much different group of people than the 15,000 americans with private jets.

I’ve flown a private jet before from the right seat since I had a connection give me some training on the job in one. I didn’t want to tell him, but I just low key felt a little disgusted by the whole industry and shifted to wanting to move boxes or go to the airlines. The only exception would be if I flew important medical supplies or something similar.
See the airlines in general are **relatively** CO2 efficient, because CO2 efficiency means fuel efficiency, and fuel efficiency saves money and makes you look good to congress when they want to fuck your shit up.
Meanwhile Rich Folks don’t really care about spending the extra pretty penny to get there 10 minutes faster, so most of the time you’re jamming that throttle as fast as it will go without the wings ripping off. Most of the time they don’t want to pay for the pilots to go out with them so they’ll send the plane back empty once they are done.
Most of the flights we did were just. “Let’s go take this family on a luxury vacation in Florida”. Or “lets go take this family 100 miles for their daughter’s boyfriend’s football game”. Meanwhile you’re basically a butler who can fly a plane. You have to make sure Mr. And Mrs. OCD don’t see a spec of dust on their countertop or a hair on the floor. Then they hop onboard and you are a butler racing to get the plane running so you are giving that “top notch service”. IDK there’s good service and then there’s whatever the fuck that was.
I’ve also heard horror stories of certain clients not understanding safety and pushing their pilots to do dangerous things. Something that airlines have ton of contingencies for.
That all being said I get it. With how rabid Swifties are, you couldn’t have her standing in line with the general public on a Delta flight. It would be dangerous. Also with how much she flies at least she’s using her jets on a more than regular basis. Most people I see will buy a super pretty jet and fly it maybe once or twice a month. She’s flying hers constantly and its being used for things like tours and concerts which means its doing something useful other than being a vacation tool. This isn’t a Taylor only problem, this whole side of the aviation industry in general is just the most wasteful.
Also General Aviation they Cram 100+ people into one flight so for however much CO2 they create you are transporting far more people then a private jet
@jameson1239 that would be commercial. General aviation actually pertains to mostly private planes being flown for non commercial purposes.

The biggest problem is that more than a half of these flights were the same route… she could have literally halved all those emissions if she didn’t fly to see her bf… Private jets do make sense to me, some politicians and important businesses men do need those jets to get around faster, they need it because they have big companies and their time is valuable, they are driving our economy. Most of her emissions are probably indirect, from merch. As a fan, I've seen the quality decrease and the volume of products on her website skyrocket. And shipping and delivering hundreds of thousands of low quality hoodies and tshirts is definitely killing the environment (and I doubt the workers are having a great time). Her friends like Lorde have tried to be very environmentally conscious, but it feels like something Taylor is content to ignore. UMG do manage her merch, but that doesn't absolve her of responsibility.
Because she feels to privileged that she can only jet about here and there without two fooks given.... She is definately not following orders like the rest of us are, I wonder who seperate her rubbish week in week out...
