I found it most interesting to watch his change in choice of shirts through those years! Also, liked that his mustache was trying to fly that entire time.
Also how different he looks with longer hair. It's interesting to see a person changing drastically by just letting their hair grow and then seeing them revert to their old self by cutting it down, two simple things yet very drastic in what they do
Loved this video, mad respect for the dedication to this consistency. Things that stuck out to me: - The sudden point in your 20s where your head just got longer - The dancing mustache around the 1:30 mark - The beginning of the hoodie phase in your late 30s, when never wearing one previously (moved somewhere colder?) - Next to no acne in your 20s, but crazy forehead acne from your mid 30s onward (major sympathies) - Easily fought back facial hair early on, but by your late 30s the mustache gets harder and harder to kill (exaggerating for dramatic effect lol) And overall it's wild to realize that as we as people age, even if our face shape and skin texture might not change, the even-ness of skin coloration goes down as we get older. In our 20s our skin is mostly even-toned, but by our 40s, some areas are ruddier and some are chalkier/paler. It's fascinating, I wonder why that change happens. Overall, phenomenal dedication to this project, and the presentation here was fun to watch!

Damn, the amount of discipline to do this consistently for nearly 3 decades. I wonder how many tries it took each day just to get the framing/angle just right. Facing the camera perfectly straight on isn't as easy as it seems.
@@markm0000 I'm aware that the photos are repositioned/cropped to make the eyes line up perfectly. But it still takes a lot of care to position your head straight towards the camera as it's very easy to turn too much to one side, have the head tilted too far up, etc.
He probably have that 1 corner in his house for this i guess? So just turn on light and camera, seat, snap, then turn it all off. And do this Everyday.
I had the same thought. Consistent background: blank white wall. No guarantee it's the SAME blank white wall, but it looked pretty consistent to me! And sure, you can crop a bit to make sure the eyes line up, but there was VERY little variation in the tilt of the head in any direction, and the focus was the same. Has he used the exact same camera this whole time, to make sure the focal length is the same? This is one of, if not the most, consistent one of these I've seen. Usually there will be a change in background when people go on vacation or move houses or something, and their lighting or camera might change. This whole setup was 100% consistent! That's impressive!
It looks like this is being recommended to more people, so I really hope it blows up soon. This is absolutely amazing. Also I love how the background music is just a percussion cover of Rush E
Okay. 1.) That was an IMPRESSIVE example of dedication. 2.) This is my favorite video of this type so far. 3.) Dude hit the genetic lottery with the hair and stable metabolism. Looks better than ever--thanks for posting this!
Man, fantastic commitment! I'm super impressed your hair line hasn't receded as much as mine has in less time lol. I did a very limited version of this back in the 90s, a countdown to 2000. Your video makes me wish I'd kept it going!
Music is the best pots and pans, clicking your tongue, smacking your knee, iPhone notification song I've ever heard. Trust me that's quite the compliment.
I saw you get older and then younger and then older, younger, and back to older. I can't believe what the hair and glasses did to your perceived age! Lol
Yes exactly. If anything, this video perfectly demonstrates how much hair, facial hairstyle and skin health and clothing have an influence of your perceived age.
@@KIKURAskyYou're literally everywhere, bro. How the hell did you stumble across this video that I found 7 months ago? This must be alarming, for good 😎
eyes are still because each frame is manually shifted for the eyes to match I guess :P. Besides that, keep using same focal lengths with same camera chip size (or do the match) and match distance and you're good to go.
His life just flashed before my eyes... But seriously though, throughout this video, I felt a bit sentimental to think that life just goes by so fast. Thank you for this timeless masterpiece, it's of great worth. All the best to your future endeavors as well! Maybe one day we will get that 22-82 good stuff. ;]
I just watched the entire thing from the thumbnail and had to come give you a 👍 Crazy that you did that with the same lighting and at the same angle every day for 25 years. The fact that you thought to do it that way is brilliant. Also, we are the same age. Cool stuff, brother. Let’s see the next 25 😊 God bless you, sir.
The writhing facial hair is the best! And this demonstrates that if you can keep your weight consistent you don't really age too badly. Well done on creativity and staying youthful!
Really? The longer I stared the more he went from American Psycho's Christian Bale and slowly morphed into post-Jurrassic Park Jeff Goldblum with a dash of Shia LaBeouf somewhere in the ~4min mark.
The strange thing is, you could use any frame and tell somebody the picture was taken yesterday and they wouldn't question it. You have a weirdly evergreen sense of style.
@@sophiafakevirus-ro8cc first of all he's using a flashlight so ofc he has the same lightning, and by the change of shades in the background you can clearly see he's not in the same position. as for the frame and expression he just tried to look the same in every photo. There are also tehniques used in post production to center the photos. It looks surreal but if you'd actually try it, you would get the same effect.
Clothing, especially men's, barely changed in the last 40 years. So unless he hopped on niche trends (hippy, emo) then people more or less wore the same t shirts, hoodies, Nike shoes

I love how his hair is like “I will always come back” when he cuts it lol
Damn, the amount of discipline to do this consistently for nearly 3 decades. I wonder how many tries it took each day just to get the framing/angle just right. Facing the camera perfectly straight on isn't as easy as it seems.
It’s edited so all the frames align perfectly.
im sure it becomes just like brushing your teeth and taking a shower after a while
@@markm0000 I'm aware that the photos are repositioned/cropped to make the eyes line up perfectly.
I didn’t realise it was rush E until less than a minute before the video ended
@@Maker0824I realised as soon as the video started lmao

Okay. 1.) That was an IMPRESSIVE example of dedication. 2.) This is my favorite video of this type so far. 3.) Dude hit the genetic lottery with the hair and stable metabolism. Looks better than ever--thanks for posting this!
That's the disappointment.... I wanted to see him go fat and bald like most 47-year-olds.

Why stable metabolism? How you can see that?

Man, fantastic commitment! I'm super impressed your hair line hasn't receded as much as mine has in less time lol. I did a very limited version of this back in the 90s, a countdown to 2000. Your video makes me wish I'd kept it going!

Holy crap you're right I didn't even notice until I read that comment his hairline literally doesn't seem to recede an inch after 25 years
And no Grey hairs either

It's astounding how consistently similar each shot is for 25 years. The pose, the position, the expression. Wow. Props, man. Mega props.
The dancing moustache. I love this! Thanks for keeping this going for so long
That killed me too, hilarious!

This must be alarming, for good 😎
@@Foxelbeton I'm everywhere?? dang...
How do you keep the face still can you show a how to do this correctly? Your transitions are so smooth. I wanna learn.
eyes are still because each frame is manually shifted for the eyes to match I guess :P.
Besides that, keep using same focal lengths with same camera chip size (or do the match) and match distance and you're good to go.
His life just flashed before my eyes...

Crazy that you did that with the same lighting and at the same angle every day for 25 years. The fact that you thought to do it that way is brilliant.
Also, we are the same age. Cool stuff, brother. Let’s see the next 25 😊
God bless you, sir.
The writhing facial hair is the best! And this demonstrates that if you can keep your weight consistent you don't really age too badly. Well done on creativity and staying youthful!
i remember when the first one came out, absolutely awesome youre still sticking with it.
You went from Tobey Maguire to Johnny Depp lol
Really? The longer I stared the more he went from American Psycho's Christian Bale and slowly morphed into post-Jurrassic Park Jeff Goldblum with a dash of Shia LaBeouf somewhere in the ~4min mark.
If you're going to talk about actors, i'd say he looks like Leland Orser
he witnessed so much trends over the 25 years, legend.
He himself literally became a trend lmao
The strange thing is, you could use any frame and tell somebody the picture was taken yesterday and they wouldn't question it. You have a weirdly evergreen sense of style.
Yes because it has the same camera quality
@sophiafakevirus-ro8cc obviously he edited the pictures so they line up properly. Its not fake.
So unless he hopped on niche trends (hippy, emo) then people more or less wore the same t shirts, hoodies, Nike shoes
that is dedication!!! very cool... you slightly smiled a couple of times but other than that it is mostly hair, clothes and glasses that changed. thank you for sharing.
I love how despite being 47 years old, you have the humor for that meme like thumbnail
