The problem for a long of these guys is that they aren't usually going to get a chance to self create. To be a "self creator" in the NBA you have to be one of the best 50 self creators in the league. Usually a max player. Its a nice skill, but it doesn't fit as well for role players. What people forget is the NBA the 50 best players in the world, and the 250 best role players in the world. You are either or usually
As a Sixers fan I really would like his fit with us. Everything he is lacking offensively are things he can pick up on daily in practices with Maxey. Would be the perfect mentor for him. He just needs to accept his role as not the iso top option, and defensively it’s getting guys to buy in in the nba. I would like him.
I love this guy, I think he is the perfect player to put next to Brunson in the Knicks. God willing, they will lower positions to select him. He reminds me a lot of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. I think that taking the two rounds this year to get him would be a success, because For me it is top 10 of this draft
I enjoyed this one quite a bit - Bub’s highlight reel is fun to watch. I almost hope Portland picks him just so I can someday root for a starting backcourt named Scoot and Bub🔥 Sacramento is probably wanting immediate help, but if Monk is exiting this off-season, Bub looks like a great long-term fit with Fox and Sabas Jr., making shots and running pick and rolls. Poor Sacramento, though, they’ll probably use pick 13 on some magic beans.
I don't think he's got the highest but I definitely think he's up there. I like him a lot for Washington if they let him cook and don't do somethin dumb like having him play offball with Jordan Poole
Orlando needs a PG who can get to tha basket and be a part-time facilitator to give Banchero/Wagner a break. Someone like Garland who consistently puts pressure on opposing teams because he can get to tha bucket.
I see glimpses of Jamal Murray in this guy with how he creates his shots and works the PNR. Not close to the finisher Jamal is but his premier shot creation is damn near identical.
I definitely see this, that step back and footwork to get to his midrange shots, except Bub should be even taller and longer than Jamal to help that shot get off without fading away so hard would be a nice bonus to his shot making ability
Really good fit with the wolves. Can come off the bench for the next 2 years as a microwave scorer then when Mike Conley retires he can potentially slide into the starting pg spot
Bub Carrington is the best pull-up shooter in this draft. He's gonna go in the lottery, and much higher than a lot of people expect. There's no way he should be as low as he is on a lot of "experts" draft boards. His weirdest stat is the difference between his mid-range percentage vs at the rim. He's in the 95th percentile in the mid-range, but just 16th percentile at the rim. I wouldn't worry about that too much if I was drafting though. His off the dribble shooting is insanely good. Again interesting that his contested percentage is insanely efficient, but his open shot percentage isn't very good at all. Like with the mid-range vs at-rim though.... you'd much rather his percentage be better on contested shots than if it was the other way around. I think his passing is WAY underrated.... and he's one of those highly coveted guys who will look better in the NBA than he did in college. It's so hard to get a read on which team will take him (same with everyone in this draft)..... but I wouldn't be shocked if he's selected in the Top-10. Utah makes sense if they want length beside Keyonte George and Collin Sexton. Bulls make sense if they want size next to Coby White. OKC could take him if they believe his defense will be up to standard, especially if they move Giddey and don't like any of the forwards at their pick. The highest I could picture Carrington going..... is it crazy to think the Hornets might take a swing on him to form a jumbo backcourt with LaMelo? Personally, I'd rather Stephon Castle's defense between LaMelo and Brandon Miller.... but if they want to go all out offense, Carrington wouldn't be the worst they could do. He's a really interesting prospect, and I think he's one of the guys that could really "hit" when he gets to the NBA, especially if he lands in a well-run organisation. So.... maybe I change my mind on the Hornets. 😅😅
@@AlbassaWane Thats a good point. Maybe not the best fit. I like Devin Carter the most in Charlotte honestly. Great defender, decent shooter, good finisher and a leader in general
my man is dropping scouting reports like he's kendrick
He is going to be a wizard!
Nailed it
Welcome to the wizards

Well luckily the wizards are the best team to get drafted to if you’re worried about opportunity
🎯
love the midrange he's showing!
Kind of reminds me a mix of Derozen and Maxey!!
Same I can definitely see shades of Derozen in his game especially with the way he shoots from the mid range

HE GONNA BE BALLING IN DC FOR SUREEEE
Excellent scouting breakdown here! Very thorough and informative!
Aside from Sarr, Risacher, Castle, Holland, and Williams, Bub Carrington is my favorite prospect for the Jazz.
this is gonna feed a generation

He reminds you of Shai?... Shai is one of the best in the league at getting to the rim and finishing... literally something Bub is incapable of doing
Underrated. Should be locked in a gym for a year or two, but has all the tools to become a starter one day.
Great analysis! Hoop Intellect is going places.

Scoot n Bub
Hoping the Wizards find a way to draft him.
They can take him at 2 nobody stopping em
Good call
I think he has the highest upside in the entire draft. He reminds me of Dejounte Murray, teams are gonna regret passing on him
Not the defensive presence dejounte is
Dejounte has fallen off defensively over the years tho. He ain’t the all defensive guy he use to be on the spurs
@@christianwood124 yes I'm comparing him to today's Murray
wizards just got him hope it was worth trading Deni smh

What are the odds he drops this one right after I finish my Carlton Carrington draft report....
W marksman
Can we get a pacome dadiet report
Why is the music at the end of the Improvement Areas sexy R&B? 🔥 Wasn't expecting that but enjoyed it
You should do Terrance Shannon Jr or Tidjane Salaun next
Carlton “Bub” Carrington looks like a promising shooter who could be a real steal if you can get him in the late first.
Coming from a Pitt fan u did a really good breakdown 👏 H2P
Your work is so damn good man. Do you have interest in working in basketball some day?
You’re hiring? I know ball

strange way to spell Washington 😉
Toronto pleeeeease 🤞
A little worried he has too much Gary Trent in him. Not a compliment lol
Interesting prospect though. I can talk myself into him
They’re bout to be on some bs again watch smh
@@mdmccrea not a bad take
nah. He's good but a bit slow. In this draft, you need to find a role player who doesn't need the ball.
Cheaper and way has way more flexibility
I been seeing a lot of people say they think him and jakobe Walter going to do the best in the league. Me personally I say rob dillingham
Wow this man can dribble and pull up. Could be clutch
As a Pels fan, if Edey and Ware are gone Bub would be my pick. Love his game.
Great vid would love my raps to get this kid. Can u do ware next my second favourite prospect in this draft for the raptors

I love him on OKC
Really good fit with the wolves. Can come off the bench for the next 2 years as a microwave scorer then when Mike Conley retires he can potentially slide into the starting pg spot
Tyler Herro with a positive wingspan
I think he would be a great backup PG for a contender like the Nuggets for the first several years of his career
I would love him in Okc as the pg off the bench his game gives me slight Shai vibes and I think he’d develop so well with him
@@AngelLV2 the only thing is Cason Wallace is there already and he's been very good so far
I think he’s gonna be Devin Booker. I can feel it in my bones man
Is a Rip Hamilton comp fair?
He’s a top 5 talent in this draft. I think he can be special

He deserves to go high, if I'm at the Spurs at 8 I'm HEAVILY considering him. Bub and Castle is a scary ass backcourt
Bub okc agenda spotted 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Ain’t read this whole comment but who in Charlotte is pressuring the lane if they pick him tho?

He reminds me of a mini Carmelo in the pull up game
Wonder if the Cavs take a chance on him?
this kid's jumper reminds me of vince carter
Picked up at 14 by WW!
He really reminds me a little bit of Malaki Branham, but I think Carrington has a better potencial as he is the better passer.
The Dinwiddie comp is such a good call for him.
can you do chomche
Bro don’t have a lot of film that’s the problem
I want him on the thunder. I’ve thought about it all summer and another guard atp why not. Bigs are cheap I’m not spending a lottery pick on one
If we get him and Daron Holmes we winning a chip man
Great job, I hope the Raptors draft him
WIZARDS!
Future Sixers
Is he a PG? Every clip got him with the ball in his hands.
In the cover he looks like a college De'Aaron Fox
Raptors fan.. him, ware, edey. Give me one 🙏
Toronto
Terrance Shannon JR next ?
I'd like the Raptors to draft him.
Great back up I love that

Cavs 20th pick
to me he's an Andrew Nembhard clone
Wow he’s money
Do kyle flipkoski next
He seems to shoot terrible shot selections like Jordan Poole. I hope that's not the case
JDub 2.0
Huh? Bro plays nothing like jdub
He play like SGA lmao
