Isaiah Collier Scouting Report | 2024 NBA Draft Breakdowns

- Isaiah Collier was the #1 overall recruit in the 2023 HS class. . His dynamic playmaking & creation abilities give him great upside but the lack of production in the supporting areas, make it tougher to find a role in the modern NBA. And a 15-18 season for USC and individual lows left many with questions.

Watching this tape post-draft, and I'm absolutely pumped to see this guy in the summer league for my Jazz. Love your stuff!
Any other Jazz fans coming back to see what we got at 29?
most underrated guy in this draft
Him and Jared McCain are severely underrated
Yup probably not a guy that can come in right away and have an impact but imo their is no guard in this draft that has a higher ceiling
Ron Holland
Scouting players can be tricky for several reasons. Understanding the talent of both the prospect and their teammates can make a big difference. Great playmakers need players around them who can finish plays. Quick guards who handle the ball well often thrive when surrounded by great shooters, for example.
Do Carlton Carrington next
I feel like he’s being super underrated, the upside is a lot bigger than most guys at the top of this draft
Maybe but he also has a lower floor than most guys at the top of the draft
@@BlueHundred1how
If Isaiah Collier falls in the draft as anticipated like his fit with the heat, pelicans and the raptors
Ion know abt his fit with the Raptors cuz Quickley is the point guard of the future for them rn
@@DeeJay_VII i think quickley is good playing off the ball and if collier falls to the raptors that would just be incredible value why not take a swing on his upside tbh
Pelicans…Isaiah Collier, CJ McCollum, Ingram, Zion Williamson, Zach Edey
@ayyyTrapp_ if I'm a pels fan, I'd absolutely hate that. The spacing is horrible.
Also, Trey Murphy and Herb Jones need to be starters.
@@BlueHundred1 yeah I see yall getting Flip from Duke....I lowkey want Edey on Grizzlies
I love him for the Miami Heat who desperately need a lead guard who can get downhill consistently and playmake.
Spurs with Ron Holland
Yea collier or kolek for the heat.
EXTREMELY UNDERRATED
I hope the raptors get him at 19
This kid's a cannonball. Imagine him in Orlando
#1 PG In The Draft 💯
Hmmm put him and Lauri in a PnR while Keyonte, Hendricks and Collins wait to knock down the catch and shoot 3. Wow
Thanks for another great profile! His shot is a bit heavy and his defense looks rough in areas but his highlights are as impressive as anyone else’s in the class. Something tells me the league is going to regret letting this dude fall to Miami.
Can you do one on Tristan Da Silva?
I’d draft him top 7 idk I see a high upside who would be best for his career is Pelicans
Spurs
Isaiah Collier should have won more in USC I felt. He's definitely a prospect that should be taken serious in the 15-35 range.
I blame the coaching for USC underperforming last year
@@johnsmith-tt6to He went to a good place in Utah.
See a little bit of Jalen Brunson in Isaiah Collier. Obviously a ways to go in order to meet this comp, but if he does improve in the areas mentioned in the video, there's a chance...
Lauri Markannen is going to eat with Collier feeding him
How about steal of the draft at 29? I love to see him lamd with one of his 4 ideal teams, hope he pans out.
6:45 I made the same sound lmao
What if sozin was the avatar instead of Roku? They are born on the same exact day and are the same exact age
More of a scoring PG than a facilitator. Dude is beast tho
Perfect for spurs him and ron Holland
Curious as to why you have Topic so much higher than him
I'd love for the Wolves to be able to trade up for him...have Conley mentor his first *couple* seasons
hoping he slides to the 76ers
I don't get the Toronto fit at all. Scottie needs guys who can space the floor. They also need size and defense. Collier seems like the opposite of all of those needs.
Hoping the raptors pick him in the draft
Limited shooting PG alongside Scottie seems redundant
@@benpage8413quickly rj dick olynyk all good shooters around him and Barnes can shoot nowadays
Daron Holmes!
Devin Carter next?
I hope he drops to my Lakers. 😭
I doubt the Lakers take another pg this year. He's somewhat like JHS tbh. We have other needs.
@@BDFfortyfourGotta go with best prospect over need
This guy has Sixers written all over him
If he had verticality with his drives his comp is Donovan Mitchell. Because he doesn't, he will most likely play exactly like Eric Bledsoe.
Raptor?
dejante murry or colin sexton type prospect. he isn’t really a point guard or primary ball handler
Do bronny next pls
Why? He actually isn't in the TOP 60 on REAL, ACTUAL analysts boards (and not the rankings of FANS/STANS mock drafts).
@@rtblueshes bronny james
Future charlotte hornet 😊
toronto
Rodney Stuckey
Or Rondo...
Depends upon leadership and situation
@@pheralanpathfinder4897he doesn't have the defensive upside or the playmaking upside to be compared to Rondo
His my number 2 guy after Ron Holland. 6’2 super strong and fast. His going be all star because his going be strongest in his position
He doesn’t have game just tries to use his athleticism against everybody hopefully he develops in the nba
Eric Bledsoe af lol
Heat taking him 15th
Devin Carter seems better
Next Magic
Nba needs to end 1 & Done Fr 🤦🏾♂️
Undersized SG, not a real PG because if he goes to a team like the Suns they don't need him to score I need him to get other people to ball and run the offense
He clearly isnt going to the suns and hes a pg
Miami Heat oick 15
trade proposal
Pelicans get #12- Isaiah Collier
Thunder get #21- DaSilva/Holmes which ever one is left on the board and Lotto protected 2025 from NO
Look like Bronny and Isaiah Stewart
This dude barely passes the ball(4 Asst Avg. as a PG is laughable) very erratic on his drives and is more suited as a 2G but undersized. When those big European guards start funneling into the league he’ll be obsolete sadly.
4 assists as a freshman on a horrible team is laughable? 😂
@@CamWick We’re not going to make excuses for horrible basketball. The kid is barreling down through two and three defenders and leaving his teammates wide open on the wings.
@@TheRealBlackPapi1 and his finishing numbers were amazing? Freshman pgs averaging 4+ assists is not normal hes a good playmaker he will be fine
@@TheRealBlackPapi1 spacing is better in the nba also he will pass out knowing the dude on the wing or corner will hit the shot
@@CamWick you’re assuming he’ll se the court, he won’t. Players like this guy don’t adjust well to the NBA of today. There isn’t any patience as coaches jobs are on the line constantly. G-League.
