What shocked me the most when i saw him playing in Cholet was his energy. From the start to the last minute he is running non stop, at 200%. Big big stamina. I'm super excited to watch his rookie season in NBA
I see the vision pairing a guy like this with talent like lamelo will bring out the best of him. He seems like a player that knows where to be, on boards and as a lob threat, and if he can develop to an even bigger role for the hornets that would be amazing
This kid is such a project. He's so raw, it almost looks like he just started playing basketball or something. His defense is terrible and his bball IQ is almost nonexistent. Really hope the Spurs don't fall for this fool's gold with the 8th pick.
How does a guy who's 6'9 with a 7'2 wingspan and a 9'2 standing reach only block 8 shots in 33 games..?? Against below-the-rim European players no less. That's a huge red flag in itself. Between that and his horrible awareness on the defensive end, kid is just not a good defender imo. Likely never will be.
I’d problaby email this question to him, he’d probably respond more in depth if you emailed a specific question to him. Also, if he does get back to you, can you tell me his response 😂, I’d also like to know.
Hornets taking a big swing on drafting Salaun. Very raw with a nice upside. Development coaches are going to have to work overtime with him. Good thing we suck and can afford to give him time to grow because he will not have any effect on us winning games this year.
10:27 I don`t think that finishing is harder in the nba alot of Europeans that struggled with finishing in Europe improved in the NBA because of the Defensive 3 Second Rule
Tidjane Salaun needs time to develop and go to a place like Utah, San Antonio, OKC or Miami that have great structure in developing players. Patience is a virtue. Salaun is better at power forward I feel.
This kid is just 18 playing in a professional league against grown men, at least he has some decision making and his skills will be higher with NBA training system
He plays great help defence/perimeter defence but still looks raw and is a project player in my opionion. It will take some time for him to adjust to the nba. A team like the Pistons or Trail blazers should take him. He isn't better than the other small forwards in his class. I would pick Smith, Richsacher and Ron Holland ahead of him.
ppl are too high on Salaun, he has a great motor with elite length and the 3pointer might translate but to what degree and what else? Defence is ? Passing? Creation? Can't finish at the rim. Not great athletically. Shot blocking? I'd much rather take the other french dude Dadiet @ 30ish than this bust at 10ish
If the Spurs draft Dillingham at 4, expect them to take Saluan at 8. His intangibles and defensive motor makes him the perfect fit for the Spurs future.
The amount of clueless dudes in the comments is laughable… Probably the same dudes who were calling Wemby a bust after one summer league game. His potential is probably unmatched in this entire draft. Yes I mean that intently. You guys don’t get that before this year he was barely playing meaningful minutes. He went from nothing to carrying his team in the Euro Cup, how about that casuals? He’s 18 playing against grown professionals, not a bullshit g-league crap or college… Physically, his motor and his standing reach is unmatched by any other prospect his size, he is a very good defender with great instincts. He’s a 37% spot up 3pt shooter. Those 2 attributes will allow him to get minutes right away despite being still raw. He’s athletic and more importantly he has fire in him, he’s a relentless worker. Day in day out. Give him 2 years and go back to this comment, you guys will all be VERY QUIET. F*ckin casuals
a 7'5 demigod could come out of Antarctica and the next draft would have 5 guys who are 'future superstars who's main improvement needs to be basketball' and are all somehow lottery picks
@@Piersonbarbershopandbeauty I believe he has some of the highest potential in this class , and for the Hornets you have to take that and he is at a position of need
I could see this vision but honestly looking at all his weaknesses and wear he struggles as a ball player Aaron Gordon would be a best case scenario for him
Tidjane Salaun is by far one of the 2024 NBA draft prospects

I PRAY my spurs dont draft him. I hope the FO doesnt take the bait on just any player solely because theyre french this dude is ass 😭
Nah we are drafting him
I would rather the spurs take Cody Williams or Devin Carter at 8.
Tell me you never saw him play while not telling me so challenge ?
I think the drafting team should stash him for at least a year if possible. I dont see him as even being close to ready right now even on a bad team
Doesn't stashing only work if there's a team willing to play him overseas?
this kid is nonwehre He might even need to be stashed for a couple years... This kid is nowhere near ready to compete at the NBA level.
Man he looks rough.
Crazy 9'2" standing reach, that gives him the opportunity to play in the future as a modern 5
How does a guy who's 6'9 with a 7'2 wingspan and a 9'2 standing reach only block 8 shots in 33 games..?? Against below-the-rim European players no less. That's a huge red flag in itself. How many times is he going to get called for hanging on the rim
O.2 blocks with a 9 .2 reach is crazy in the worst way 😂

How you feel about him going to Charlotte?
@@jd3thegreat Not crazy about it to be honest. I would have drafted someone else.
Welcome to Charlotte!!!
I think he thrive in a JEFF green/Obi toppin/Aaron Gordan Tobias Harris type of big. He'd work well with other tweeners.
He looks like a baller! Excited to see him play.
Thank you for this. Welcome to Charlotte
I thought you forgot to change the birthday from Nikola Topic, but it turns out they were born on the same day.
He's one hell of a Boom or Bust, but with the right development? Hes got a CRAZY high ceiling! Theres a few teams I wouldnt mind seeing him on!
Idk about a crazy high ceiling but his ceiling is a high level starter
you really meant it when you said its going up right after the pod with vecenie
The #1 prospect in the draft‼️‼️‼️‼️ (according to 2k)
Kelel Ware next 🙏🏾

Let’s go Hornets!
I'm so glad yall got him not the Spurs. Thank you so much.
This might be a solid addition with how he cuts to the basket with a healthy Melo and Miller in the backcourt.
Somebody need to sign the young king Keandre man.
That’s a double edged sword lol. We wouldn’t be able to get these scouting reports anymore. Wish the best for him though.

Can you make Filipowski?

What is he good at?
"Well he is tall and has long arms"
Ok, top 10 pick in the NBA
This is legit Arby’s Poku
Checker's Kevin Knox
He seems a lock as a stretch four, and lethal in the running game. Portland could target this kid at 14 and Ron Holland at 7.
Looks like he'll be fine if opponents don't play D on him.

Reminds me Ousmane Dieng from 2022. Kinda worries me
Welcome to the Queen City, my friend! Buzz Buzz!
I just don't think his EPM can be above 0 through out his rookie contract. I just don't think he can be good enough to make overall positive impact.
Kel'el Ware next please. 🙏
His high end outcome is like Obi Toppin who's slightly better on defense. Not worth the risk imo.
if he just turns into a taller josh hart and just eff's things up for 10-20 mins a game with his energy, he'll be around for a while lol.
Keandre is dropping like Kendrick at this rate!
