I love my fishing tools @GerberGear #cudabrand #boomerangtool just to name a few. There is almost nothing more important for a good day of fishing on the water than to be able to cut through braided fishing line quickly and easily. I have tried practically every tool out there, and quite frankly there are several great brands on the market. Today I show you all of my favorites and also crown one champion, although it's so close that it really comes down to personal preference. I am pretty certain that after watching this, you will have a much better idea of the options out there and why you may want to choose one brand over the other. Don't take short cuts when it comes to your fishing tools. It's too important. Thanks for watching #mrbasstv

Dude I'm sitting here cracking up as you reach the final pair. Those Cudas are still on Amazon for only $3.84, and that combined with the photo of a limp line of braid folding in half between the blades had me steering away. But I'm glad you like them so much, gonna try a few pairs.

🫡 I was looking for some decent braid scissors and i’m happy i came across this video! These scissors are marked down to $3.74 on Amazon so I picked up 4 of these bad boys (one for my backpack, one for my tackle box, one designated to be lost at some point and one for a spare). Thanks for the great advice 👍🏾

i love these (your #1 cuda). I fish the surf. I DO have a lanyard for my scissors they are always handy hanging just right on my right side of fishing vest. I used a big surf clip (for lures on surf) clipped it around the scissors handle, then the lanyard hooks onto the surf clip. Easy Peasy and always right there when i need em.

    Fan-BASS-Tic survey and review!
I've been searching for the best braid cutters. Just saw the Berkley Hot Line Cutter -- burns through the braid.
Now I've got a LOT of these tools. Including the Boomarang (love), Gerber (love), others (not so much), and the Cuda -- which I do love! And they do cut great! And always the choice when I really need something to trust.
Agree that they just need a lanyard.
    Keep the good reviews coming!

I've always thought a serrated edge would do better because it keeps the braid from sliding sideways away from where the cutting is trying to happen.

Great Video my Friend and I’m just getting back into Fishing after several decades off and started using braided line and I just found these little Cuda Snips on Amazon now for 3.97 and snagged a couple pair and after this I can’t wait for these little guys to get here. Yes 3.97 lol Semper Fidelis my friend

The small oRING pliers work great for braided line for about a week because you will be using yhem for thick mono and othe stuff so after a little while it will not cut the braided line. I guess if you have them exclusively for just braided line only.

Dude the Cuda’s are awesome love them! I actually picked up some lanyard type things at Walmart fishing sect for like 3 bucks you get two and they have a clip on one end and a open end on the other. I just run one end through one side of the handle and clip it to the open end and you can attach it to any backpack.

Boomerang definitely cuts limp braid when new…but, dammit, you are spot on. They go dull pretty quickly. They’ll cut tight braid for a long time but, exactly as you said, too damn hard to always have a tight line to cut. The first month or two I owned them I thought they were the best.

Cutting limp braid can be so frustrating!! 🤬 Thanks for such a comprehensive video with demonstrations of each tool, as well as practical reasoning for why the winner was the best. Nice job. I was hoping that those Boomerang Snips would be the winner because that form factor is so perfect for throwing in any tackle box slot. Sadly it didn't "make the cut". Buck should be ashamed of themselves for that $100+ tool that didn't cut as well as the sub $4 scissors...
Now I'm off to buy my Cuda Micro Scissors! Happy fishing!

I’ve got at least 10 of them and if your hands are bigger or if you have a hard time moving your fingers the braid shears are great but they don’t get down to the knot as good. They’re still better than anything else you can get that’s larger.

I must have gotten a bad set. My Rapalas blow these cudas away and were cheaper.
Rapalasat Scheels are $2.99. I got the cudas for $3.73 on Amazon.
The cudas aren't very comfortable either. They are useless in the first 1/4" or so of the tip, otherwise they seem good.
I guess I'll have to get them replaced and see if I can get a proper set.
I have a set of kastkings coming for comparison and would like to try the expensive Gerber's. The Gerber's seem like a solid choice.... we'll see

      I ordered the Gerber's because I got 20% off.
I got a replacement set of cudas micro and this set is perfect 😁
However I'm not too fond of the size and it feels awkward to me... maybe it takes some getting used to.
I had to replace the kastking scissors i received, I got a very poor quality set. I'm hoping the replacement set will turn out like the cudas.
I like the gerber and kastkings because they can be hung from a tether and/ or have a holder.
Overall, so far the Rapalas are the most comfortable and reasonably priced...and they work great. We will see how they all hold up over time.
I appreciate you being able to do these reviews. I purchased a kastking backpack and your backpack series helped out a lot. I'll post a comment about that in the kastking video.
Thanks again for your time and efforts👍
