I am Palestinian. However, I am a descendant of Abdurrahman, the son of Zaid, the son of the second Kalif Omar (may Allah be pleased with him). So, I am basically a Quraishite. If we want to talk about ethnics, I couldn't be more of an Arab. These claims that Palestinians were not Arabs but they were Aramaic etc... This assumption is stupid. Of course you have people of Aramaic origins. But the people have been interacially mixed. Most of the Aramaic people became Muslims centuries ago. And even back then, several tribes in the levant were ethnically Arabs like the Nabataians and th Ghassanides. And nevertheless, the people of the whole region speak nearly exclusively Arabic. The ethnicity argument is extremely dumb.

Many Palestinians believe they are direct descendants of Arabian tribes from the time of Mohammed. I hate to poop your party , but this is very common in nations where the dominant religion shifts. The local people who have adopted the religion want to appear to be closer to the source, and so genealogical connections are made, family names are changed, etc. When Ireland (my own country) converted to Christianity a myth evolved that claimed the original Celtic tribe that colonised Ireland was connected to the lost tribes of Israel lol.

    For the others, 2 points:
    1. Many of you say they are kuffars and sellouts belonging to some sect. The problem is that they identify as Muslims (or imam!) and many non Muslims see them as Muslims (as they are given huge platform in the media and governments) - which can be confusing to non-Muslims or new Reverts to Islam who don't know these details.
    2. Analysing these discourses is torture for me, but it's my paid job at uni. The reason for that is that to find solutions, you first need to diagnose and understand the problems you want to solve. And part of it also to give clarity to all those who are confused by this kind of people

They're not worse or better, they have a different approach. People are stuck with the initial brotherhood as designed by Qutb as a response to colonial rule, which was absolutely horrendous. Now, the movement has become pacifists and moved their priorities towards social justice and democracy as seen with the Tunisian and Egyptian elections as their main goal is to end dictatorships and install democracy. However, they were no match for the Egyptian army and because of their non violent approach, they were easily crushed. Since the coup, many think the movement has become irrelevant. Compared to other islamicate political movements which want a theocracy, they are fairly Liberal as many of the newer generations have a western education. His visiting a Jewish child who was sick and praying for his health is well known. Those Jewish people who became Muslims were not in any way considered different from other Muslims just because they were descendants of Israeel. Apart from this in today's world, my disagreement is only with the Zionists who are mostly atheists and who I think do not abide by the commandments of God as conveyed to them via Moses and other prophets all of who are Prophets of Islam also. So many Jewish people belonging to the Neturai Kerta sect and large number of anti Zionist Jewish people including intellectuals, authors and journalists who decry the injustice done to the Palestinian people are Jews I hugely respect for their humanity.

You've been very selective in what you've shown here ! Imam Tawhidi explains earlier why the Jews have a right to the land of Judea - indeed modern day Israel is a fraction of the land that was deemed theirs (included northern Egypt). He explains the covenant given by God, which is countenanced in the Quran. You have edited - so as to not include this. Furthermore, you state that the 49 countries who are deemed Muslim are Muslim as Christian countries are Christian. This is a disingenuous argument. First Islam is a political ideology, Christianity and others (Buddhism) are not. Christ said Give to Caesar that is Caesar and God that is God's. Many so called Chrustian countries have democracy - A Western system, developed by the ancient Greeks - nothing to do with Christianity. Sharia, present in most of the 49 Muslim countries is the legal system - which is Islamic. As far as I remember countries such as Iran are known as the Islamic Republic of Iran. You are playing with semantics here - they are Muslim countries! And I think you know this - so please be honest. It also might be that some Muslims (secretly maybe) are not antisemitic and respect the first people of the book. Perhaps also some may respect that Israel gives equality to women, homosexuals, Muslims (20% of Israelis are muslim) - who have the same rights and opportunities as Jewish folk. Palestine laws are not quite as progressive here. Maybe some muslims respect that Israel has chosen to develop science, technology and agriculture in a way that Palestine and other neighbouring states has chosen not to. And let's be honest here, both Israel and Palestine have received phenomenal amounts of money, but both peoples have chosen to use that money differently. Palestinian leaders live very luxurious muliti-millionaire lifestyles in Qatar and the likes Lastly many Muslim neighbouring states have concerns about the extreme elements in the Palestine populous. There have historic issues in Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt and for some Muslims, I suspect they may actually have misgivings of l both Israel and Palestine, though they would be wary of ilexpressing such views for fear of repercussions. Imam Tawhidi has had numerous death threats for not "toeing the line". As with most pro Palestine videos, your information is not as brazen as some, but is biased and selects information and discriminates.

I am no sociologist and i am writing this comment while still at the start of the video. Irrational, intellectually deficient people (yes this is harsh but it is true) will position themselves on such topics based on emotional preferences that predetermine the outcome. The (pseudo)logical path that is then built to reconcile the predetermined outcome with previously adopted/proclaimed values/beliefs is usually a clumsy rationalization attempt that cannot survive the scrutiny of real rational debate. This explains the aggressiveness towards any attempt to rationally challenge such positionnings. This unfortunate pattern that sadly applies to so many topics other than the one at hand is at play when it comes to being for or against israel. Muslims are not excluded from being irrational on that topic. While most muslims will be emotionally biased towards being pro palestinian part of those who do not strongly identify to identities such as muslim or arab will have a positionning that is determined by other factors. The main factors that I can identify as being major causes of a pro-israeli bias are:
    - being a bully and thus identifying more with bullies than victims
    - having an inferiority complex towards a western world that is perceived as more "civilized" and more advanced
    - having a strong drive towards self serving positions combined with a belief that western states such as israel are impossible to challenge leading to submission being perceived as being the best positionment
Everything mentioned in this comment only applies to understanding the positioning of people that are being sincere. Those who out of self interest choose to defend ideas they do not really believe in are out of topic.

Oppression comes from a male society wherever, in particularly in the Arab society. I met Muslim women from whom I learned about the domestic oppression they are facing.
      1) One of them, saw how are Jewish girls are being treated at home and society, so she decided to be a woman of free choice. Alas her brother has decided to limit her, to say the least... Yet he was not the only one. Other members of her family not brothers, threatened her life. So, she had to run away to Norway for a while.
Something else she also told stories of how women are being oppressed in the Muslim society.
      2) Another Muslim woman that I studied with, told me about another Muslim guy wanted her to become his fiancé when he was already engaged to another woman. She refused and as a result he would spread some false rumors about her, in order to defame her reputation.
3)A third one I met at the University told me in a conversation that her mother was terrified from her choice of study, she was afraid of somebody will heart her daughter for that.
To say that it is not about religion, well I don't buy it. What happened in the 7-th of October had nothing to do with the Palestinian cause, it was religiously motivated. According to what the captured terrorists they were getting the blessings of Imams.

Very few know who these closet homosexuals are. Are you one of those closet homosexuals? I know they’re just dying to come out of the closet. Let them make things intolerable enough and they will surely start getting popped. They can be tracked through their bloodlines and exclusive associations with those who have publicly provable Sabbatean bloodlines. They’re mentioned in the Encyclopedia Britannica which is the most academically credible encyclopedia in the history of the English language. Former US Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis openly admitted to being a Sabbatean and that he and his wife had an arranged marriage because only Sabbateans can marry each other. Karl Marx is related to the Brandeis clan on record. You can find that on any genealogy website. It’s all public record. Princess Diana is a direct descendant of Jacob Frank through her mother going back to his daughter Leah Golda. This is also public genealogy record. The Encyclopedia Britannica is not a conspiracy theory publication. And aliens don’t exist. And everyone in Pizzagate wound up on Epstein island and CBS did a segment years ago connecting all these people to Princess Diana who is on record a direct descendant of Jacob Frank. Meghan Markle on record is related to Prince Harry through his grandfather going back to the Sabbateans of Salonica, Greece. Socialism, communism, anarchism, right wing nationalism, atheistic movement, agnostic movement, all came out of the Jacobin Society which was started by Jacob Frank’s family members, on record, who include Moses Dobruska and François Chabot. The LGBTQ movement was also founded by Sabbateans on record. These bloodlines are public record fool !!
The Encyclopedia Britannica on the Sabbateans:
“Shabbetaianism, in Judaism, a 17th-century messianic movement that, in its extreme form, espoused the sacredness of sin. The leader of the movement was Shabbetai Tzevi, a self-proclaimed messiah and charismatic mystic. Coerced by the sultan of Constantinople to accept Islam, Shabbetai Tzevi shocked and disillusioned many of his followers by proclaiming himself a Muslim.”
“Other followers, interpreting Shabbetai Tzevi’s apostasy as a step toward ultimate fulfillment of his messiahship, also proclaimed themselves Muslims. They argued that such outward acts were irrelevant as long as one remains inwardly a Jew. Those who embraced the theory of “sacred sin” believed that the Torah (“Law” or “Teaching”) could be fulfilled only by its seeming annulment. Others felt they could remain faithful Shabbetaians without having to apostatize.”
“After Shabbetai Tzevi’s death in 1676, the sect continued to flourish. The nihilistic tendencies of Shabbetaianism reached a peak in the 18th century with the false messiah Jacob Frank, who claimed to be Shabbetai Tzevi’s reincarnation and whose followers reputedly sought redemption through orgies at mystical festivals.”
“Jacob Frank (born 1726, in Berezanka or Korolowka, Galicia, Pol. [now in Ukraine]-died Dec. 10, 1791, Offenbach, Hessen [Germany]) Jewish false messiah who claimed to be the reincarnation of Shabbetai Tzevi (1626-76). The most notorious of the false messiahs, he was the founder of the antirabbinical Frankist, or Zoharist, sect.”
“Frank often traveled in the Balkans and there met followers of Shabbetai. An uneducated visionary, he appealed to many who awaited the resurrection of Shabbetai. In about 1751 he proclaimed himself the messiah and four years later, in Poland, formed a sect that held that certain elect persons are exempt from the moral law. This sect abandoned Judaism for a “higher Torah” (Jewish Law) based on the Zohar, which was the most important work in the Kabbala, the Jewish mystical movement. Hence its members also called themselves Zoharists. Their practices, including orgiastic, sexually promiscuous rites, led the Jewish community to ban them as heretics in 1756. Protected by Roman Catholic authorities, who saw in them a means of converting the Jews, the Frankists debated with representatives of the rabbinate and claimed that the Talmud, the rabbinical compendium of law and commentary, should be discarded as blasphemous. They were also partly responsible for the revival of the canard that the Jews use Christian blood for Passover rituals.”
“In the meantime, to preserve his following, Frank publicly committed his supporters to mass baptism and was himself baptized in Warsaw, with Augustus III, king of Poland, acting as his godfather. The Frankists, however, continued their sectarian ways. As a result, the Inquisition imprisoned Frank in the fortress of Częstochowa (1760).”
“Freed by the conquering Russians in 1773, he eventually settled in Offenbach, dubbing himself baron. His many followers supported him in a manner befitting the nobility. Upon Frank’s death, he was succeeded by his daughter Eve… descendants of those members who were baptized merged with the Roman Catholic population.”

They have been in the Gaza Strip for 400 years on record. The False Prophet of Gaza of the False Messiah Shabbatai Tzvi, Nathan of Gaza according to the Encyclopedia Brittanica:
“With a retinue of believers and assured of financial backing, Shabbetai triumphantly returned to Jerusalem. There, a 20-year-old student known as Nathan of Gaza assumed the role of a modern Elijah, in his traditional role of forerunner of the messiah. Nathan ecstatically prophesied the imminent restoration of Israel and world salvation through the bloodless victory of Shabbetai, riding on a lion with a seven-headed dragon in his jaws. In accordance with millenarian belief, he cited 1666 as the apocalyptic year.”
“Threatened with excommunication by the rabbis of Jerusalem, Shabbetai returned to Smyrna in the autumn of 1665, where he was wildly acclaimed. His movement spread to Venice, Amsterdam, Hamburg, London, and several other European and North African cities.”
“At the beginning of 1666, Shabbetai went to Constantinople and was imprisoned on his arrival. After a few months, he was transferred to the castle at Abydos, which became known to his followers as Migdal Oz, the Tower of Strength. In September, however, he was brought before the sultan in Adrianople and, having been previously threatened with torture, became converted to Islam. The placated sultan renamed him Mehmed Efendi, appointed him his personal doorkeeper, and provided him with a generous allowance.”

It is the Biblical Hebrew for “VIOLENCE” (2 Samuel 2:3) and Bin Laden’s Kinda tribe used to be a Jewish kingdom and when the Zionism State was established a number of them fled to the Zionist State to claim asylum and citizenship stating they had been living as Crypto-Jews for centuries and this is public record. The Muslim Brotherhood was created by Hassan Al-Banna who on record was from a Sabbatean Jewish family from Morocco who was financed according to his own testimony by the same British government that founded the Zionist State who are Sabbateans genealogically. This isn’t even a theory. These are all facts.

So let's abandon racism, okay but how can you make the people do it on their own, let alone by mere ink on paper?

yeah/nah clear bias sorry good luck promoting Islamist propaganda, it always surprises me that reverts are always the craziest in the end. FYI I grew up exclusively with Muslims in Dagestan, and it is unrecognizable now because of Islamist ideology, I used to be idealistic, believed in the peaceful Muslim majority, and separated Islamists from Muslims, etc until I saw those same Muslims who would break bread with non-Muslims one day and then point out their house to Islamist the next day. All the real peace-loving Muslims get treated like infidels and have to cover their identity from their Ummah for safety reasons that's why there are so few left, instead of looking in the mirror you always look for someone to blame. The majority of you do not acknowledge crimes that are committed by Muslims on non-Muslims and on Muslims and you judge Muslims who want peace like the people in this video. And start claiming insane things like they are getting paid to stand for coexistence. The Jew hatred is inherent in Islam unfortunately and the hatred of non-Muslims in general. @@iditbes6962 Mark's approach is really good because it draws from a personal story. The imam uses irrelevant arguments and incorrect theological points. It's good if he wants to befriend supporters of Israel but without a good command of theology he's not gonna convince any Muslim, that's maybe why he's not very popular in Muslim circles. If he can't convince his target audience, he's not being a good ally to Israel.

Dear Dr. William, you are delusional. Of course this conflict has a huge religious component! It is about reconquering dar al Islam considered a Waqf to the Muslims which can't be governed by infidels. If you ignore that you ignore the core of the conflict. It makes little difference if you create the 23rd or the 24th Arabs state, but it makes a huge difference if you destroy the only Jewish state because it is on Muslim land

If it was about religion, you wouldn't have Muslims serving in the IDF and Christians in Gaza would not be bombed

In 1982, a prominent Israeli strategic analyst, Avner Yaniv, coined the term “Palestinian peace offensive” to describe the risk that Palestinians would become too moderate politically and Israel would be forced to make concessions.
He urged using the "fiercest military pressures" against the PLO in Lebanon to undermine Palestinian moderates and make the PLO more hardline in order "to halt its rise to political respectability".
How do you explain this statement? If it was about religion than why moderate Palestinians were a problem for Israel?
