These type of locked doors are typically interior doors like bedroom and bathroom. Outside door locks are usually dead bolts and even if not, the latch is locked into position and cannot be pushed in like he is doing with these cards. This is showing a door where the mechanism from the door handle to the latch is not working so the latch is not retracting from the socket when the door handle is turned. A broken door not a locked door.
Yeah because shimming doors was completely unknown before and there's not lots of chsnhels dedicated to defeating locks. Crims will already know. This is on a diy channel to help people who aren't criminally minded. Also if you get a locksmith or handyman out you'll see how it's done anyway. My parents locked their keys in the car often, i saw what to do and even got into their car to avoid a call out. I still don't break into cars. No different to gun control. Thise who will follow the law can be trusted with anything. Those who can't be trusted won't follow the rules and will get them anyway.
Used to do this in highschool to sneak into empty classrooms and hang out during lunch break.

@@chfman4912i think the security screen lock my brother has only locks the handle but that's a failure of the design not of video makers.
