Finally! Someone acknowledging the shoulder strap issues. I had to do the same thing you did in order to make it ride high on my chest. Still a decent rig, but a pain in the ass nonetheless. Really wish other reviewers would have touched upon this issue.
Yup. I think it's really meant for bigger users, so the weight rides the cumberbund instead of the shoulder straps. Nothing wrong with it, just needs to be matched up to the right user.
Hey man. Just checking back in. I've got my Condor vest and I'm still playing around with setting it up. If you want to shorten the straps without cutting them to size, what you can do is attach the velcro squares on them to the velcro squares above the the velcro covered molle nylon. That's going to give you a lot of slack but what I did was I folded the remaining slack into the shoulder pads and closed them. You can also open up the shoulder pads and then put them over those large buckles on the back panel of your vest. That should help tighten it up a little more.
Kuyler Palmer, yes, the L/XL should work for you. There's Velcro inside the vest where the tabs meet as well as under the front "bib" to hold it all closed.

I ordered plates. Now I'm shopping carrier's. Nice review sir.
I think the reason why its so large is that if you look at other designs, they have one less row of molle on them, ie; at the bottom. My guess is that maybe they wanted to give folks extra space for pouches at the expense of doing away with combat belts since I would assume that if you added a belt, the thing would be hanging off your butt like a diaper.
They're supposed to ride high, so looking like a bib isn't necessarily a bad thing. It seems weird at first, but it makes sense when you move, bend, and turn. With that said, the Defender is the largest offering from Condor. It provides the most coverage of any plate carrier I sell.
Nice review thanks for sharing I'm 6' 3 255 or so I'm thinking the condor L/XL might work for me I just want to make sure I have plenty of space for 11x14 plates.Do you sell these carriers ? I have a video trying on a standard carrier from condor that thing looked ridiculous on me lol.
I agree and dis agree if I had to wear one for many hrs I would choose this one for the soul purpose of molly space haha other then that u hit good points sir
Was looking into this plate carrier. I'm 6'7 310 not fat. Should it fit fine if I get the L-XL? After you lift the 3 tabs to get to the cumberbun if the backing of that panel Velcro?

Hey great video. I just bought the Viper. I used to be 340+lbs. I've lost over 100lbs at this point. Out of the box I put on the Viper it needed about 1/2" adjustment and fits great. I do still have an inch or 2 near my underarms of hang over. But that should be gone in a few months. After seeing you @ 270ish lbs. This would be too big for me now. Thanks agian. Thanks for the review bro. You made up my mind about that
Me too. Thanks again,

Omu Negru, if you wear a XXXL T-shirt, this is probably your size. I'm a XXL and it's a bit too big.
What size plates you got in that? Thanks
codyfarmer7694 Standard 10x12. It will accept up to 11x14 according to the manufacturer.

Thanks! It amazes me that people still get something useful out of such an old video. Glad it helped!
Does this come with plates?

You like Aerosmith?
Do not put pouches on the garment. Only idiots do that and die quickly
MOLLE vests are made to put pouches on, wtf are you talking about?
Lose some weight, it is your big belly causing the problem. Show some discipline soldier, set an example.
Albert C. I actually own that carrier it was supposed to be my size and I'm relatively slim, still rides super low.
You're more like 360 Budd
