The right tool for the job! I've spend an afternoon spreading half as much stone with a compact tractor

Can't believe that I missed this one.
Thankfully it came up in my feed and I've got some time to watch Chris doing what he does best.
It's funny how 1 year later abd he pretty much uses only double walled plastic pipe now for culverts.
Concrete is obsolete when you come down to it.
No steel reinforcment rust out to worry about weakening the pipe matrix.

We have the same sandy soil here in northern Sweden,
but where I grew up, it was black soil about 30 ft deep and no rocks.
The farmers there had a very easy time getting good harvests.

If the State stored dirt, should take some soil samples and test for lead contamination. Did a job near a freeway and the soil next to the freeway was lead contaminated from car exhaust (before lead was banned from fuel). State had to remove top 12" of soil and take to hazardous waste facility.

Chris, three things, (1) The next time you go to Tractor Supply you need to tell them they owe you at least a half dozen free 5 gallon buckets for the free advertising that you gave them in this video (2) What happened to the Beavers, were they safely captured and relocated to another area for someone else to deal with (3) Got to get yourself another sidekick, if you don't do so soon, you are going to wear yourself out driving all the machines, cutting the logs, checking with the grading stick, etc.

You always have a plan, Mike and 6 additional plans on the agenda after that
If everyone stayed busy and worked like you, we would not have problems with unemployment, welfare and mental and emotional distress
You create a state of mind that results in self worth and pride, also a sense of accomplishment. Everyone should have the psychological needs met, but most are too lazy.
I bet you also sleep well at night, unless you are thinking about the next big project.
    Good job with the excavator.

    • @stephengarner9109
      @stephengarner9109 2 ปีที่แล้ว

As a fellow Brit, I don't know for sure, but I think it's that fact that they have much more rainfall than we get. The heavier rainfall washes up a lot of debris that then gets deposited when the water flows slows down, hence the pond. Secondly, here we don't generally collect draining water in a pond, preferring to widen the course and straighten where possible. Just a guess

Hey chris, i wanna congratulate you on the new personal machine and set up, it looks great and I can tell that once you got your new excavator and the new bucket and thumb designed the way you wanted it that you now are really having a blast working. Its almost fun and not work.lol its great to see you get a nice set up like that, you deserve it if anyone does. I got a quick question, I know that you work for your uncle, how ever i know that with your 2 personal machine's that you do side jobs,or basically run your own little business im just wondering when you have time to do all of this? I know you put in alot of hours for your uncles company. Im figuring that you do it mostly on the weekends but now your taking on more personal jobs and bigger personal jobs so I'm curious are you looking to basically go out on your own eventually? I know its a personal question so if you would rather not comment on you tube I get it. I wish you the best of luck and keep up the hard work and awesome content. Oh one more question now that you got your own dream set up do you go to work and get into your uncles equipment and think man
I wish this was my personal set up? Have a wonderful day.

I noticed numerous people asking about Tim , some shocked , some thinking something bad must have happened and some of us knowing ahead of time this would happen at some point it was a matter of when not if.
When you work with great people you can learn so much more than what you can learn with mediocre people like honestly you can learn more in a year than 5 to 10 years of mediocre.
At some point those learning get to a point as nearly all of them do where they have learnt loads, but then want to work on putting it into practise for themselves as is most often the case and some times the travel side of things takes the shine off of the job and they go for a complete change or to work closer to home.
Shame to see him go of course but not really surprising either.
I'm sure he will do well in his new venture and all the best to him.
