like Chris said in the beginning he does not know what the original guys plan was and he was just there to fix it. I don't think the first guy had a plan just a bunch of restrictions of what he could not do and the wrong equipment for the job. also if he is doing pond stuff hope he has learned since, maybe it was the owners family friend who was willing to just did not have complete knowledge of how to and got overwhelmed. so many variables but in the end Chris will make it look it's best with what he has to work with.

I have bad anxiety at times and watching you operate helps me deal with that. I'm not sure why but it's the one thing I've found that will take it away pretty quick
the slop will help out the trees too by covering exposed roots and nutrients from the rich bottom mud , root mat help on preventing wash out as they take hold

This whole pond looks like the first guy tried to make it an ultimate bass pond - random holes, submerged sandbars near sharp drop-off's, shallow points, stumps left in etc. But 1) screwed it up by not sloping the banks naturally, 2) digging out around the trees killing them and 3)tried to cram too much into too little area.
After 13 years of watching these videos I feel qualified to say that I think the bucket on the 220 is ready for some shims. Now I'll go back to pushing my wheelbarrow.

Grading that bank looks like the ideal task for your own 240 with the articulated grading bucket - mebbe persuade your uncle to put one on the 220...;-)

I couldn't help but think how well Chris's own 220 with the articulating grading bucket would have worked tidying up those slopes. He still did an excellent job, and I have a feeling that the customer has been more than impressed by how much Chris and John have achieved in just a few days, and how nice it looks now. Pay peanuts and get monkeys. It must sting a bit to be paying good money to someone who just makes a terrible mess that you are going to have pay someone else to put right.

Not even close. Didn't clean the turtle up, check it for injuries, feed it, look for any turtle-kiddies, given it counselling for trauma after the bucket-ride. Give a Karen an inch and they take it all. I was married to one. She took it all and I considered it a good deal.

Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. Not always but often guys that do cheap work ask cheap prices.
