I know this is off topic but I am afriad of roller coasters and I have been trying to get over my fear of riding them I have been on two starter coasters which are the back lot stunt coaster and venture express but I have been thinking about riding this one and the problem is that I don't know if I should because I'm afriad it will hurt my stomach like bigger roller coasters have done in the pass
I live like a mile away from kings island and under certain weather conditions ( mostly after rain) you can hear Mystic Timbers going “don’t go in the shed”
Oml that would be so annoying, I live in Dayton so I live like over an hour away in rain like in the fall to Haunt Fest, but if it's like summer or spring then it takes like an hour.

They just shouldn't have hyped it up. The fact that they thought it would be a good idea to hype it up is kinda sad quite honestly. If They'd said nothing about it the ending might have seemed a little cooler than if people were going in expecting something awesome and only getting a mediocre screen experience.

This ride was freaking awesome! The vid doesn't do it justice, it's got great airtime, forceful turns, and it really hauls! The theming was actually pretty good too, the shed was aesthetically pleasing. The only disappointing thing was the actual THING you found inside the shed. If you are planning a trip, don't judge this until you ride it.

If I were designing this ride, I would have made the shed area be the ride exit, with a ghostly voice saying "GET OUT" as the ride harnesses popped up. Only 1 staffer in the room, in full costume. The exit doors would lead to a walk-through experience zone kinda like a haunted house, but still keeping the rural-horror theming. Creepy horror movie sounds, etc. Then, a leadup to a chase scene would start, with actors going "He's coming! Get in the car!" and that would be the entrance to a 2nd ride, a dark ride with jump scares and animatronics. The killer would be revealed as an actual mystical creature, not a freaking snake. It would be the world's first and only coaster that combines 2 rides. I'd be rich. BUT, I didn't design this ride, I only posted my million dollar idea on TH-cam, so Disney is gonna steal it and make the money.
I don't see it working. It's enough of a chore to slug through the shed and it's only 30 seconds. Good luck getting people to waste even more time on that convoluted idea. Might be better in a dark ride or a boat ride.
Rode in the back seat at night a couple days ago, and believe me, in person it is way faster than it seems in videos. Super smooth as well. An of course at night it's a totally different ride. (back seat may have made it better too) Not a bad ride! Of course it's no Beast but its definitely fun. Tho I'll admit, after months of waiting to see what's in the shed and expecting a scary surprise, that part was kind of a let down lol

The coaster itself is a straightforward and basic out and back layout with a fairly unique first drop for a wooden coaster. Adding the shed helps it to stand out among other intermediate coasters.

I just rode this 08/25/18 for the first time. Easily my most favorite. People constantly complaining about the shed...which is king's island's fault by advertising "what's in the shed" so much. Yes the shed is lame but the ride before it is downright amazing! For me it seemed on the borderline of being more extreme like diamondback or banshee and less extreme like stunt coaster. The speed of it alone is what blew me away...none of the videos can do it justice and lots of points with air time. I ended up riding this 6 times and 4 of those were in a row. It's one of those rides that do not let up with something else happening like the air time hills etc. The best way to describe it is Short but sweet.
This looks like fun. Nice concept with the shed - making you wonder what's next when you're really just sitting there waiting for the coaster in front of you to leave. :-)
I rode this on I believe day 2 of it being open and actually got stuck on the lift hill, the other train was across the way stuck right before the shed, I started a wave fest between the two trains after the workers came up to explain what was going on 😂. Some lady was scared to death to ride it in the row in front of me and asked the worker if she could get off while we were stuck on the lift, it's like "sorry lady you waited in line for this and you're all strapped in, no turning back now mwahahahaha!!!"- made for an interesting first ride on Mystic Timbers
I rode this for the first time yesterday and this thing was hitting it, the first drop startled the heck out of me from it being hidden and the speed on this was incredible. Nice ride for a short coaster
I got to ride this twice on August 16th. Most people were either at school or at Soak City, as it was very humid that day. I'm telling you, it was a ghost town. Beast, Diamondback, Face-Off, Top Gun, and Mystic Timbers were all walk-ons.
I've been on the ride multiple times and I'm convinced the shed has multiple endings. Sometimes bats fly out, other times it's nothing, the second time I was on it there's a giant bat monster type thing that flies through the "doors" of the shed on the screen and jump scares you

The Shed was themed and done up with incredible props and 'decorations' the boom box, Coke machine, tools, vines and lighting, the entire attention to detail was mind blowing. Great ride and the Shed was awesome.
I rode this today, and whilst in the shed, I started clapping my hands to the beat of the song ( they played man eater) and everyone joined in😅 it was great
I rode this for the very first time today. I opened my eyes and put my hands up after going down the first hill. According to my dad, I looked super pale while waiting in line. I was scared. The projection I got in the shed was the snake. I did not expect it to bang on the projected doors. That scared me. In conclusion, I now know my new favorite ride.
if you want to spice up the shed experience a little bit try getting your whole train to clap along to whatever is playing. this ride is in my top 5 rn easily

Hope u do it's great. If u have a gold pass but didn't go this year you can to winterfest(until dec 30) because(even tho it's cold) mystic timbers is open but isn't the only ride open(it's the only roller coaster open)! But like u said theres always next year lol
My best friend forced me to go on this (buddy system at my school)and I cussed her out,lost an earring, blacked out, slobbered on her and said my last words all on one ride...(PS if you Gert on this ride you'll need to get a locker for your bags and they cost money)

When my sister and I first rode this, we were in the front row. You really can't see the drop at the top of the hill... the track just sort of disappears, and then you look to your left, and *down*
i rode this ride this weekend, it was a lot of fun! but at the end in the shed, instead of a snake, it was tons of bats, then a huge bat demon thing on the screen. it was super cool.
so I went on this for my first time this year. the first hill, since it was my first time, it was SCARY. to me atleast. I'm not a huge coaster junkie and ride every single one, but this was scary yet fun. Id for sure go on it again.
Some of it has to do with the theme yes - though that is a secondary reason. The primary reason the rides slows down on the hill in spits to accommodate other trains on the track as they pass through the blocks. IT just allows them to dispatch each train a little earlier than they could if they had to wait for blocks to clear.

I was at Kings Island last week and I waited until it was almost dark to ride this one and it was great, fast and shook you up very much! I got me two (2) rides off of it! The Beast (2) two rides and Diamond Back Two (2) rides and after all of that, 'it was definatly miller beer time,' I love it all! Mystic Timber only tease so to speak was, 'what's in the shed,' and not shit but green lights and a few fake gooblins and monsters but the ride was great all the same! This little things moves it's ass off!

2 years later, the shed has grown on me.
My best friend forced me to go on this (buddy system at my school)and I cussed her out,lost an earring, blacked out, slobbered on her and said my last words all on one ride...(PS if you Gert on this ride you'll need to get a locker for your bags and they cost money)

the ride is cool but for the shed it needs like a drop and animatronics of the creatures from one of the endings

Why are these spoiled brats in the comments complaining about the shed, at least you got something to entertain you and something cool to look at and do at the end if the ride while u r waiting for the train at the station to leave. Not a coaster at my home park has it mystic timbers does. At least kings island took the most boring part of every ride and made it fun. Just enjoy the shed because it is there
When my sister and I first rode this, we were in the front row. You really can't see the drop at the top of the hill... the track just sort of disappears, and then you look to your left, and *down*

Im 10 years old. This was my first Rollercoaster I cried but I road more at Kings Island. The rest were fun.

i rode this ride this weekend, it was a lot of fun! but at the end in the shed, instead of a snake, it was tons of bats, then a huge bat demon thing on the screen. it was super cool.

so I went on this for my first time this year. the first hill, since it was my first time, it was SCARY. to me atleast. I'm not a huge coaster junkie and ride every single one, but this was scary yet fun. Id for sure go on it again.

Whys the lift hill so slow? I would've given it a cable lift hill to make it unique like El toro.
Damo Coaster because there is audio that helps with the theme. Thats why it speeds up and stops randomly, so the ride can talk to you.

Some of it has to do with the theme yes - though that is a secondary reason. The primary reason the rides slows down on the hill in spits to accommodate other trains on the track as they pass through the blocks. IT just allows them to dispatch each train a little earlier than they could if they had to wait for blocks to clear.
Not really. According to IOE_Jeff's post on r/rollercoaster it was done for story purposes not for blocking.
Dang, more airtime hills than anyone could ask for. I really want to get over there to ride it

I was at Kings Island last week and I waited until it was almost dark to ride this one and it was great, fast and shook you up very much! I got me two (2) rides off of it! The Beast (2) two rides and Diamond Back Two (2) rides and after all of that, 'it was definatly miller beer time,' I love it all! Mystic Timber only tease so to speak was, 'what's in the shed,' and not shit but green lights and a few fake gooblins and monsters but the ride was great all the same! This little things moves it's ass off!
