Biomorph - All Bosses (No Damage) and Endings

  • I received an early key for Biomorph so here's the bosses defeated without taking damage and all three endings. When Harlo and her prosthetic buddies comes out of stasis in a weird place with no memories the important thing is to punch things and morph into your slain enemies until you get answers as to why the world went to hell.
Overall, this is a really well-done Metroidvania with quite a bit to explore. The main mechanic is biomorphing into defeated enemies (at first from their corpses and after doing it to enough unique enemies you can do it freely if set to your morph slot) and using their abilities to traverse areas combined with standard movement upgrades Harlo gets. Some enemies can burrow through sand, fly, triple jump, break blocks, and so forth. You customize your attacks via chips (with most having charges other than your punch chip) and get boosts through mementos (basically charms).
Some small criticisms is that bosses aren't too difficult but most attacks in the game hit pretty hard (even with the damage reduction memento!) so it can be pretty easy to die if you aren't careful. While there are a good number of chips, I kept the same ones I started out with and never really felt the need to switch. You unlock fast travel pretty early but you have to upgrade the save points to fast travel and you have limited kits to start (this only really impacts the early game - once you upgrade the fast travel building to level 2 you can upgrade most save points but to start out you need to be conservative with which ones you upgrade). As well, because you switch chips, mementos, and learned biomorphs at save points I occasionally found I needed to backtrack to a save point to switch out to a needed biomorph to get a secret (for the main path the game is very good ensuring a biomorph you need to progress is on screen through a level).
Definitely worth checking out if you like Metroidvanias.
On a side note, there are a number of gauntlets that throw a bunch of regular mooks at you but use a boss health bar to denote how many are left to kill. I didn't include these since it's just regular mooks and nothing you don't see just exploring.

CrankyTemplar: Pagoes at least half the bosses.
Me: "It shows that you are a pro Hollow Knight player."

The art style is good and the enemies are appropriately freaky, but the endings feel like it didn't change much, they are still dependent on ferrox.

Conscience is so hard... mostly because it kills you in 3 hits tops. Tips on dodging the balls the final boss spawns?

I just got done 100%ing this game last night too. I took the casual babby journalist route and made everything 50/50 (do more damage and take less).

Hey, as long as you enjoyed your time playing that's what is important. Difficulty only matters insofar as you're having fun on your own or playing against others.

For anyone struggling with the Roltaon boss, my tip is to use the Fubirang morph to get him to 50 per cent health, then use the grenades on him and his rolling friends while wall clinging to easily finish them off

Pogoing works surprisingly well for several bosses. You can mostly pogo Model 37 as well until P2 where it does gain an attack to force you to move away for a while.

@@CrankyTemplar yeah man u made it look easier than i thought it would be but after 3 attempts i got the the rhythm down and was actually able to kill him without being hit. something i very rarely do :) thanks for the info on m 37. This game has great fluid controls and it's fun to play.

for anyone struggling with the Gorgearzer boss (and lacks super reflexes), my tip is to play really lame using the bone throwing Morph. Biggest thing that I learned was to forward or back ward jump to avoid his projectiles, stay back or heal when he charge punches forward, dash past him, throw more bones etc. rinse and repeat and he can be beaten after two or three attempts
