I burned the glass, which is.. glass. Not silicone. I can confirm there is no smell of burnt silicone in the mask :)

I learned this trick at a local dive shop in Curacao. They said new masks has a thin layer of film on the glas and burning helps to remove this. Spit also works great together with doing this 👍
