Yea I've run into my fair share of trouble makers in bars in pattaya looking for a bust up. I always move on just because I don't want to end up in a thai prison lol. Only people who scare me in Thailand are the cops

In Thailand you leave at express pace as the expat will be at fault and local authorities are unlikely to be sympathetic. Plus omeone could be waiting for you oustide where life is cheap

100% agree the girl was looking for a benefactor the lease is over She is only in it for the money generally so when stops and guy leaves Thailand she moves into another guys bed and you cannot be salty about i. If you want to keep the girl you have to pay whether you are in thailand or not. If you have no dosh then she goes screwing someone else. The massive risk is when you not in thailand you have zero clue what she is doing you could be one of five customers whose bank accounts she is draining at the same time Know a girl from isaan who introduced her husband as her brother whenever the expat sponsor was in the village. So when the expat not in thailand thai husband and wife together and when expat in thailand husband would stay with other family members went on for a long time.
I have a Thai wife who lives with me in the Uk.I have visited LOS on many occasions and if I see any trouble in a bar ,I drink up and pay and move on…..this guy was making some serious problems for himself…

Arrive with zero expectations then you never get disappointed. Personally I'd never kick off in my own country never mind someone elses.

I think she was playing the old make him jealous routine, because why didn't she wait until he went home before flirting with the punters, flirting in front of him while he is still in the bar its obvious, of course this is a dangerous game and things can get out of control

Do not confuse Pattaya with the rest of Thailand..it is a tourist place ,full off bars etc..Rural Thailand is totally different.
If i could afford to retire it certainly wouldn’t be in Pattaya.
i often think about it as i'm 10 years away,i would certainly have to change the way i behave and who i would associate with.

It sounds like the European guy was a bit naive and felt like he was having a relationship with the Thai girl...if only in his own head! It could've ended a lot worse, the Thai girl 'implicated' your friend in this drama which could've had unfortunate repercussions for him despite him being an innocent bi-product of the whole scenario! All in all, a 'tough lesson in life' for the European guy, he should've read ''Five Go To Pattaya'' before heading there! 🤣
No the European guy explained to the guys at the bar "It's OK fellas nothing against you, it's just me & the girl!" Eddy exaggerated for max effect...the other guy at the bar Welsh Webby already told the story.
simple facts eddy is hes been had over ,if hes been wit h her 5 months ,and she has propably milked him in that time ,same old same old with bargirls ,once on the plane home theres always the next mug,to be milked ,after all its thailand, see it all the time

This would be a regular event all through Thailand. Blokes need to understand that you don't have rights to a lady just because you give her money. Or because you have known her for 5 mths. It is what it is over there. Great story Eddy. A Common one at best.
Basically Eddie, been 85+ times and all I can say is that guy was very, very lucky the lady didn’t call her REAL boyfriend, husband, or scooter Taxi mates…..if she had, he would be in a very painful and sore place right now….

You summed the whole situation up best Eddie by stating the obvious that She's trying to make a living & that for these girls that is always the bottom line which is understandable. Seems that the real issue was the guy not seeing the reality of it all or being blinded by his infatuation. Either way he was bang out of order.

To me this is a petty issue and the guy was obviously very upset. Probably it was more of a threat to send the photos to her mother than an actual deed.

Having been to Pattaya over 30 times this last 30 years or so..... And several visits to Phuket. You just need to remember something that someone told me years ago.... You don't lose your woman in Pattaya, you just lose your turn......!! 😁

Best horror story I've been part of was last July
Me and my friend were in a bar on Soi Buakhao talking to the girls just having a good time my friend had a girl sat on his knee playing flirting for about an hour then out of nowhere a German guy ( looked about late 40s early 50s ) comes into the bar shouting at the girl doing crazy hand gestures then the girl ( mid 20s ) shouting back he was saying he loved her he could look after her then started insulting her basic horrible names, She returned fire with you're just customer saying he didn't treat her good following with you are cheap not good man then she kisses my friend who looked at me mouth open
Up until now the German guy was never angry at my mate but now he just wants blood he tries to throw a drink over my Friend but falls over he just got up n walked off shouting and screaming

On reflection Ed, as a Scouser who knows the score ,this guy was lucky to get away in one piece .I have seen things turn very nasty in LOS and whether the culprits are Brits, Russians ,Indians or whatever….the Thais will always come out on top..one call to this lady’s friends and he would have finished up in hospital at best …let common sense prevail

I have to admit it is a horrible feeling when your vacation time is up maybe even after a couple of months and you have to leave behind the one and only girl ( ;-) ) that you're in love with while she's already securing her future income ...... this is Thailand

They’re called ‘working girls’ for a reason. These women in bars are always working and it’s always going to be transactional - if think it’s something more, you are mistaken. Bedroom fun, OK. Something more, not going to happen. Search for a potential partner elsewhere - a woman with a proper job who is educated and can pay her own way is a much better prospect.
What I gather is the girl sure gave him the GiRLfriEnd experience for a while, and the guy got carried away.
He must have had a fairly close relationship with this woman over the 5 month period in order to know how to contact mother. You would have thought she could have at least waited until he stepped into the airport taxi before trying to tap up the next punter. She was obviously trying to provoke him for whatever reason. However, he should have just drunk his drink, said bye bye and then calmly walked away. A little bit of blame on both sides here I think Ed.

I've been to Thailand many times and I'm afraid to say that's its the school of hard knocks over there as far as bar girls are concerned,and for a first timer over there it's an experience
I've been taken to the cleaners a few times at the beginning of going chasing rainbows but it's still a wonderful country to visit and all I can say is learn by your mistakes and the sooner the better
20 years ago i met a girl in gogo bar. She had been , before my arrival, wined and dined by a couple of foreigners for the best part of the entire night. I asked her about those other guys, she said don't worry about it and left with me about 20 minutes after i arrived. Normal night in LOS so the guy in this video should have seen it coming.

There's some seriously good comments here. Your audience have been there, done that. The guy should be angry with himself for being so ignorant of the rules/culture. If she's a bargirl you're just a customer. If she's not, she might be your geek, faen, phrrya (f*** buddy, girlfriend, wife) as long as you remain their ATM. Why was he so fixated on one single girl the entire time that he was there? I bet he had regrets when he boarded the plane for the flight home that he had used his time better. Pattaya is supposed to be a fun place where men move around and meet and enjoy themselves with a variety of fun and beautiful women; not get obsessed with one single girl who is obviously going to go off with somebody else as soon as he boards the plane home (or earlier, as was the case here).
