If you love Thailand and I do,...any month Im able to go. Is just fine with me.
September and October are my favorite time. It's long past the burning season, not usually very busy, and the weather has more mild cloudy days. As someone who likes taking long walks I like some overcast, it keeps the temperature down. It rains often, but other than a couple of orifices I'm mostly waterproof and the rain never feels cold.
Thanks for your info
I've always preferred low-season in Thailand, back in August for 3 weeks, perfect for me 👍
August and September this year was very humid , couldn’t walk more than 5 minutes without being soaking in sweat
@@chollis380 Yes I was there in August/September last year, was very humid but I can put up with that for slightly cheaper flights and accommodation compared to high season.
Definitely cheaper costs all around
I’ve been in June and July before and didn’t notice much difference to February but the humidity goes through the roof. September was the wettest month I’ve visited there. The main bonus is it’s always warm despite the rain 😉
Good to know!
Yes was there last June was humid as f 🪭
Im off this November solo for 2 weeks in Pattaya. Really cant wait.
The rainy season changes a bit depending on if you're in the north, central or south. I used to come over early December until early March. I stayed the whole time in Nakhon Nayok and Ayutthaya where the weather was perfect for those three months..
Now I'm in Ayutthaya permanently I've found September has heaviest rain and usually some flooding. That seems to be the case for the whole of the central region.
Im a fan of the low season- cheaper-and afternoon rain cools everything down and settles the dust
it also depends on where in Thailand..such a huge difference between north south east and west .. great vlog Eddie
That's true 👍
I was in Phuket 2023 in mid October to mid November, it rained every day for 30 of my 36 day holiday
Awful
@@STEADY599 timed it better this time, been in Pattaya & Jomtien since November & staying till at least April
Good info Eddy. I'm in the U.S. and I've traveled to Thailand a few times. I've found going right after Thanksgiving late November to mid December has worked well for me. The flight's are usually cheaper, people just traveled for Thanksgiving so the planes are not even full going to Thailand, and the December rush hasn't started. The weather has been agreeable too, maybe I've just been lucky.
Yes good point! If anyone goes to Thailand from 10th Dec onwards they are going to be paying premiums for flights and hotels. I will bear late Nov in mind next time. Apparently 'October' is also the best time to visit Taiwan, if that's on anyone's to-do list!
Good video, you should also comment on the heat and humidity.
I was in pattaya in September 2022 ,it rained like hell, then it cleared up ,we had a great time!
I always avoid April because of Songkran.
Great video . I'm looking at Jan / Feb next year .thanks Eddy.
Good choice!
Thank you for putting this video together, Eddy.
It's a useful guide for those not familiar with the weather trends throughout the year.
By the way, your lyrical style makes for excellent viewing and listening, combined with your smooth editing and thoughtful choice of background music.
Cheers! 😀
Glad it was helpful!
Really enjoyed your recent YT post Eddie, looking forward to revisit Pattaya this April after Songkran
Eddie, how is the auld "Brewers Droop" lad?
Well put and said always a pleasure to watch your videos mate.
Thanks, mate
Spot on Eddy. Like others, I always look forward to your vlogs. Heading to Bali in March and then back into the land of smiles in September I reckon. I hope you are about then.
Thanks for this very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Great insight Ed.
Hope you are staying Steady.
Thanks, mate
Hello Eddie i have been in peak season and low season. The prices for flights always used to be around £900 direct for peak and £450 -£500 for low direct now there isn't much difference in price. Definitely better to be there now January/ February. 😊
Great update Edward 👍
Great video Eddie, I only been to Thailand in November and January
Nice video I’ve been watching your vids since you left the uk. Have fun be safe
Thankyou
Very informative video eddy thank you
Cheers eddy.
Going to pattaya with my brother on the 23rd of February until 1st march.
I haven't been to pattaya for 12 years. My brother came over for the first time in July last year. He loved it.
So we having a boys trip l. We both can't wait to get there.
We are staying in soi 7.
If your around hopefully we came catch up for a couple beers and a laugh.
Love your videos
Cheers mate😉🇦🇺🍺🍻
i always liked November, nice and cool and Ly KraTong Festival
Exactly the video I needed. Cheers!
Glad it was useful
Nice video Eddie, very informative. I don't remember all the months I was inport in Pattaya but I don't remember it raining very much. I visited there 4 times between 1980 and 1991. Back the first time I was there Second Road wasn't far from the jungle :P
Loving the more regular videos Steadward. I was out for Christmas and ive booked up for the end of April, 1st week of May and im a bit worried now about the weather. But hey, it beats old Newcastle. Cheers mate 🍺
Thankyou
Hello mate. Don't worry about the rain in April. I have been here 6 years. Never had rain. But its the hottest time of year here. I beg for rain. Its far to hot. Temperatures of about 36 to 45. Have a great time. Please do not fall in love with a bar girl😂
I went about 4 years ago in may and it was really hot. 39,40...was happy when it finally rained
Great video Eddie... I think I would choose February. Still some great weather with lower than peak season prices.
Good choice!
ANY MONTH IN THAILAND is the best month!
Cheers Eddy, good information on when to go in Thailand 😊
Happy to help
Hi Eddie, I couldn't agree more, January is a great time to visit. And so much so that I'm arriving next Sunday 🎉❤. Bkk for 3 days and then Pattaya, I can't wait. I'm going to do a bungee jump for my channel 🥴. Fancy having a go yourself?
Not for me, but have fun, anyway.
@@STEADY599 🤣👍
Great vid Eddy. Was in Phuket August 2013. Had hardly any rain. But like you say - No such thing as average weather. Keep up the good work.
Well explained video Eddy, the difference in weather is probably the biggest decider. But it's worth trying out different months for yourself as i have done. I don't mind the occasional shower, but not every day.
thank u
good info
Good video again Eddy. Like your channel. Me ans a few guys spotted you the other night in Pattaya. We were going to come over but think you had been drinking heavily and we didn’t want to interrupt you as you were certainly having fun ;-) . Have a great time and keep up the good content
Thanks, mate
Hello Ed. I’m thinking late February to late March. Could you do a video on overrated and hidden gems? Thanks
You've discarded us Aussies as part of the western world.😅
Jan-feb-mar: good weather if you can put up with bad air.
April-may : good if you like extreme heat
June-july-aug: good for cheaper prices, if you can accept some rain and want to escape the Aussie winter.
Sep-Oct - ok if you can put up with plenty of rain
Nov-dec :more exp but better weather
Eddy I was in Pattaya & Bangkok last August for 3 weeks and the weather was great had very little rain , and it was between 26-32 degrees every day , will be back there in November for 3 weeks for some golf and fun times
Even Rainey season is ok. Normally only an hour or two of heavy rain in the day or night time. It dries quickly.
The peak of the peak of the peak has been a trickle in Pattaya. Been here the last few months and it's been very quiet. Very low on western tourists despite what some say in the comments sections of videos (most likely bar owners).
Main downside to Jan/Feb is Chinese New Year as any who can head home for that so busses, etc. can be jam packed and you might wait a couple/few before you get a seat. Also hotels same. I HATE traveling for that couple weeks period.
Heading End of feb cant come quick enough iv got a sneaky feeling im gonna enjoy this ❤
Great video very good info
Thanks 👍
Interesting comments, but they aren't the comments of someone that's ever spent an entire year in Thailand so knows the climate. When you live here you actually crave cloudy days because you can spend the entire day outdoors without getting fried. You also know that March to May are several degrees hotter than the rest of the year, making them unpleasant, and that September and October are the two wettest months.
Well said mate. But I would never take any advise he gives
It's same as question how much money do you need, upto you,I've been going 30yrs been many times all seasons all months it's all good personally depends what your after
Very informative video. Well done.
Thank you!
Good vid Ed
I always used to go for Songkran soon got fed up with it after 4-5 times, swapped April for June still hot but not as busy always went Xmas/new year as well
Rainy season is definitely lagging into early if not mid November now..id never go oct/nov (mid) again
May,april chancy for rain and always mega humid
I can put up with a bit of rain if it's warm rain! Even if it's wet, Thailand, unless in the very far north, is warm! And when i escape from the cold UK i want warmth.... I've been over Feb, Mar, Apr, Oct & Nov over the years..... never had too much rain on any trip, never any all day just showers....... I was out with Bangkok Pat last November and we had to take refuge because of a heavy thunderstorm but it cleared within an hour......
Spent late August through mid September 2019 in Thailand, and was very lucky. The rain was never severe or long lasting. In fact, the weather was wonderful. Prior to that I had been for a week, June 2018 and it was so humid, I can still feel it. :-)
ANY MONTH IS BEST
Thanks Eddie, informative video
Who knows these days the weather’s been shit in the golf of Thailand and I’m in Phuket and it’s cloudy most days and raining at night sometimes, saying that we had to have some sunny days and it is warm. In fact, it’s too hot sometimes when the sun is out I’m not complaining I’m just saying with the world changing there’s no guarantee clear blue skies anymore.
Good to hear from you, mate
I remember that video from the full moon party day on that beach. Seems like only yesterday, but I guess it was 12 months ago ? Great to see some heat from a snowy Prague was has been below freezing already for a week ... brrrrrr !
Prague is a lovely city. Good to hear from you.
I learnt that the hard way. I always thought that it only rained for an hour or so then the sun came out until I went in July. There were days where it rained for a whole day.
Visited Thailand many times in October, has never been a wash out for me..And as for April and songkran the weather is oppressive...
Nice one 👍
I love March onwards, usually march - June, crowds have left by then, hotels drop in price 20-50%, this year i actually went August, i was told it was rainy season, it rained maybe 4 times in 3 weeks during the day and that was for 10 mins max then back to 32c, i usualy travel to phuket, ko lanta, ko lippe and bangkok
I traveled to Vientnam / DaNang, in august not knowing its their summer, it was 38c daily with no clouds and just sun, the beach felt like a warm bath, when i returned to Thailands 32c it actually felt cool. Seasons vary dramatically around SEA
Good to hear from you
I have been in January and February and July and the first trip about 23 years ago September in Phuket it rained for about an hour per day but then it was really hot
I have always prefered the tail end of high season from mid January to end of February or even into mid march. Get all the benefits from high season but with slightly cheaper accomodation and without the masses
Yes, definitely
I've been to Thailand 3 times last xmas then June and xmas just gone spent both xmas trips ill with the nasty respiratory virus that goes round. So from now on will stick to going in June.
I'm heading to Thailand April - August 🤭 I love the rain, I'm British after all 🤭🤭
To steal a line in Barry Upton's song Pattaya Wonderland "Any time's a good time"
January 100% if you're UK based. It's the most cold, depressing month of the year.
I usually fly out about January 5th flights are much cheaper than December as well.
I believe in most holiday destinations peak season runs from 14 Dec - 12th Jan. Give or take a day either side. I'm talking of S.E. Asian resorts, Florida and the Caribbean.
every month living in the UK is depressing...even the summer. July and August last year was cast sky every day
It snowed about 10 days ago. The Temps have been below freezing for 9 days. I hate this.
Not in Thailand
January to December is a good time to come
I usually go December or January, enjoyed Christmas and New Year there. Overall id agree with you on January into February Eddy 👍
Good to hear from you, mate
Bloody hell Eduardo im coming in May. Youve just ruined my holiday before i board the plane lad
You may be lucky. I was unlucky
Best destination in each month of Thailand
NOV-FEB Bangkok and South of Thailand is the best because Warm area and fresh air
Mar-May Pattaya and Eastern of Thailand along Coast is the best place
After May -Nov North and Northeast is better if u do not like wet with Rainy season
I’m in the minority as a Canadian who loves the cold. But I’m tired of paying 5 bucks for a cup of coffee. Thailand is looking better and better
I am from Vancouver but common even here we don't pay $5 a coffee. At Breka and Blenz it's just over $3. Maybe slightly $4 at Starbucks. Don't think Thailand is any cheaper at Starbucks. Many drinks at Starbucks hover over 100 Baht which is $4CAD
Love the vlog Ed. 😂😅
You should make the journey
Try living in Denmark. It’s 10 bucks for a coffee!!🥹
No thanks. Toronto is bad enough
Good video, Eddie.
In low season, freelancers will be more aggresive with farangs as they have almost no clients and are a bit more desperate.
I vas there from mid november til mid December....come again mid februray fo a month.
Beautifully contry ..weather ..food.....
Well done and helpful. Now I don't have to research. March for me.
Thankyou
Hey will take us on a tour of a 7/11 and show us the prices thanks 😊
That would be an idea
Not everywhere in Thailand is same weather. If you're in the north during December and January the temperatures can drop into single digits at night. If you're in the far south then still plenty of rain up through January. In the south the middle of February to May is much drier
Yes very true. For me April & May are the worst months as no matter we’re you are they are the hottest months. If you going to a beach you don’t want rain but up in Isaan & North Thailand I don’t mind the rainy season as everything is lush green & if a heavy down pour comes I go out on the veranda & watch it. Heavy rain especially with thunder & lightning releases negative ions which make you feel invigorated. So Eddy next rainy season when a heavy downpour with thunder & lightning comes don’t hide indoors get out under sone sort of overhead cover & expose yourself to those invigorating negative ions.
@@isaanman5399 rain is actually very important I agree for air quality too because air pollution is horrendous during dry season especially in the north areas. I find near the Malaysia border in the far south the weather is most pleasant from April to June
@@jacked6 I agree. I live in Udon Thani & last April for a couple of weeks we hit between 40C & 42C. November to February are the best weather months.
Last 2 weeks of April are excruciatingly hot. I made the mistake of playing several games of golf at Pattaya Country Club, Rayong and the Navy Course's in April 2010. Never again, or unless somebody else is paying for it 🤔😆
As u start i love songram
Yeah small island in June is quiet but then again it's my birthday then still better than at home especially in the larger towns, Yes it buckets down but people watching with a drink passes the time see the streets flooded then dry up again.
Hi Ed, could you please tell me how you get on with your Visa situation because I’m thinking of doing the similar thing like you’ve done thanks mate
I'm not really there yet. I will make a video about visas eventually.
ED....do you have any videos of someone who will give me tours there as i will be alone when go and i want to see small villages!
Plenty of Isaan bar girls who would love to go with you back to their homelands. So long as you’re financing the trip, of course 😂
Hi Eddy, the best month to go is always 'this month' 🙂
I visited Thailand for a month for the first time in 1998 during April. It was as hot and humid as hell but surprisingly it only rained about three times when I was there. I guess I got lucky.
It has to be February/March ( if you're from the UK ), just to cut a month out of winter .
It's their tradition. Embrace it and enjoy
People should also consider the micro climate, for example in Ko Samui November is the most rainy month and December still far from ideal...
I'll be in Bangkok 30th January Eddie I've been November to December July to August September to October I've been pretty lucky with the weather in the past I always stay the month as a time
i usually head to patts at the end of Jan early Feb,Most of the tourists have gone home ,but it still has a great vibe.
Totally agree!
Same 4 me arrive 31 st Jan--return to the wrong place again around 25 th February..
It'll be interesting with the CHINESE NEW YEAR & how many will be celebrating it in paypaypayPATTAYA ?..YEAR of the DRAGON ? ( that's a bit wokey, is'nt it ) DRAG ON ...lady boys will be HAPPY ? then again maybe a weed shop ..ie DRUG ON & roll another one !
If Only one month it would be March for me.
Ed i don't care what month it is pal been there in all months its the humidity that gets me the cheaper it is the better ive been in September i must of been lucky i got great weather ☺ 😊
All depends what you are looking for. High season weather can be unbearably hot whereas rainy season is cooler. Also much less crowded and cheaper in rainy season. Hope this video encourages more to go high season 😊
I believe May and June are best avoided as still very hot plus humid plus rainy. My focus is July to December
Are the bar girls still there in the off season? And can u still get lucky with the ladies, Or have they all left?
Many are still there
@@STEADY599 fantastic I’m going in may was going to go in December but can’t wate that long and already have enough savings to book it for may and save up couple grand for 2 weeks there. Can’t wate been wanting to go since my early 20,s I’m 31 in may. Just have no look at all with the ladies here in England at all.
Hey Eddie 🎉I heard you caught up with young Webby the other night for a beer 🍻 or two
Yes, good night
Steady what beach and Island is that with the bungalows right on the beach ? About 7 mins into vlog
Koh Lipe
Cheers Ed any idea what the bungalow operation is called
Had 3 visits thailand over 30 yrs ago ,all the Islands had wooden beach bungalows, maybe not anymore .That would make a good vlog the old beach bungalows still in existance
the thai wife has been complaining for months about rain every day. So best months are Feb March and April but then you pay premium hotel prices food and gogos for everything. As the pattaya bars make their livelihood in this period 3 month window for the next 12 months. If you are an expat and US or europe based and want to avoid the snow thai hoteliers and bar owners know this and so they want to cash in big style. Bit like local girls drain your bank accounts. As to draining your balls you are a customer they dont like you but very happy once a week sending money back to mother and father who live in poverty in isaan
Thanks for your info
The best time? Is anytime you can!
