    A very well put together kit from TeknoRc. Nice design, and easy to assemble. I watched your build video of this truck and it looks like it is pretty much bulletproof. I like ProLine parts, I have their shocks on all of my trucks, and they are fantastic. Body looks to be nice and thick as well. I really like the 17MM spline hubs, you can use both spline type wheels, and standard 17MM wheels which give you a wide variety to choose from.
    I will have to pick one of these up and get a nice Castle system for it.

      Nope, this is a Tekno....I'm still rocking the plastic shock caps with no issues...pistons are the same as their race rigs. Aluminum chassis braces will just deflect the damage else-where, like bending the chassis.

    I loved my mt4 g3 left it all stock for 2 years only tires body servo did I replace other than 1 bearing in the read diff came apart but found it right away and diff was fine. I ran 4s only though. Sold it when the esc went out and the motor bearings was bad. Couldn’t break it looking for something like that durability wise but on 6s I sold all rc stuff 2 years ago so starting fresh and man this will cost out the rip. If I went with a trmt8e be6s electronics other than radio seem good as I like those brands and would buy those for err upgrades. But Tekno is a better truck. It would run me 1100usd to build this thing and Lipo and charger

      Family Fun R.C. Tekin makes some great stuff - but the castle system will be capable. Pinion gear? I ended up with a 17t, but you'll have to gauge yours based on weight, the castle system and especially the tires (rotational weight). Enjoy the truck, it's a great one! 👍👍

    I just got this kit, I’m struggling on which esc and motor to get for it. I really like that Tekin combo, but it not being water proof gives me some pause on getting it. I have no plans on submerging or driving through water. Any thoughts on this?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Tekin is solid - especially that it is fully sensored. If you want water proof, check out the Hobbywing EXRun Max8 combos - they’re water proof, but sensorless. Still a great value, just not race inspired.

    • @TheRCNetwork

      MrRjsnowden I haven’t looked at the specs on that CC SW4 1/8th. Most 1/8th scale systems should bolt right in - keep in mind any weight limitations that Castle sets and watch the temps for gearing. My Tekin System is still rocking in this!

    Tekno are so underrated! Yeah I'm a fan boy. But I do have and enjoy most major brand kits. I just don't think Tekno gets the Kudos it deserves.
    I have the SCT410.3, love it. It has been my go to car, never fails, I'd go close to saying it's unbreakable (now I will cop a flogging from the haters). Seriously when I built it perfect, not a single part missing, no modifications needed, every part was quality.
    How much do I love the SCT410.3, I bought the MT410. If after two or more years of bashing SCT with 9 -70 year olds driving it, cleaning up fences, fence posts, everything you couldn't find if you tried to find it, they have hit.
    My MT is half built, its a pleasure to build, only thing I don't like is the screwing on the rod ends (but that's universal across all brands).
    I have a Pro-Line VW Baja body and Rat Rod body that I'll use, I've a set of their swampers (I think that's what their called), Castle Creations Mamba Monster X 2,200 kv, Spektrum radio gear, and Savox servo. (I run this combo in nearly all my kits).
    Now people are going to hurt $$$$ with a Tekno kit, try living in Australia it hurts the pocket hard, but I guess it all boils down to quality vs quantity, build or RTR, and how seriously you take the hobby.
    My first car was the HPI Vorza, great car, with this car my interest in the hobby developed, I started with some Badlands Wheels & Tyres.
    Then I put the longer big bore shocks, stainless steel screws, pinion gear etc.
    Now with numerous car kits, from different brands, sizes, buggy, truggy, SCT etc. it has become my passion.
    That's how/why I buy and justify paying for such a kit.
    I'm even thinking at some stage of getting the EB410.4, again for the pleasure of building, and the quality.
    For me the enjoyment is in the creation, my Schumacher 1/12 Pan car will have a Cheshire Cat theme, and the build was totally foreign to me as I was so used to off road.
    As I said it is expensive, but custom, flawless quality and performance. An open book!

      It will drop in, but it is a sensorless system, so not ideal. As for the batt's - you'll probably have to stack them...check the batt's height and see if it will work compared to the batt tray. I always ran 4s in this truck and it was plenty of power on that Tekin truggy 2000kv motor

    Just picked one up what do you think of the as an add on M2C 6820 TEKNO GAME CHANGER 410 WIDE BODY CHASSIS KIT, I would try to sell the original chassis so would recoup some cost. I'm primarily bashing, jumping, so looking for the strongest option. Wondering if it's worth the extra cost or will it hold up with stock if you run it hard.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would run it stock, tbh. I've never had an issue with mine....but I know the limits of the truck. Anytime you "send it" you risk breaking any truck regardless of what "upgrades" you have on it. You'll find that when you upgrade things of strength, other things will start breaking

    So, based mostly off the end of the video (because I'm new to this and don't know much about the brands and trucks/cars/buggies/truggies, etc...) the tekno beats the outcast based on reliability, knowledge, and personalization? Because if that's the case then I'm sold. I've heard a few people complain that arrma sometimes feels cheaply made

    I know this is an older video but I have a question..
    I have an E-Revo (v1) that I haven't run for years because I couldn't keep the diffs from stripping out no matter how I rebuilt them, shimmed them, upgraded them, or drove like a granny on her way to church.
    Everything else about it is bullet proof but after stripping the diffs for the 25th time in 25 runs (never made it through a full battery pack) I finally gave up on it.
    I really don't want to just throw the Revo away and I know that if I try to sell it I won't get anywhere near what I have into it, so I thought maybe the best option is to take all the electronics and whatnot out of it and put them into something that can actually handle the power. I don't have whatever motor and ESC traxxas released the E-revo with and I don't have the Castle set either. I have the HobbyWing brushless motor and ESC that people were putting in their Revo conversion 5-8 years back.
    Would it be worth it? Will my 1/8th scale motor fit in this thing? Will the diffs hold up?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll see a night and day difference between your old Revo and the Tekno. Everything is robust on the Tekno, especially the diffs in comparison. As for "if your motor will fit" - I dropped in a Tekin T8 4038 2000kv motor in mine, and that was literally shoe-horned into it. Anything that size or smaller will work easily. That motor is 42mm x 77mm. I only ran 4s and it was plenty of power

    One major weakness of this vehicle as a basher is the lack of tower to tower bracing. There are aftermarket solutions, but they will add significantly to the cost and weight. If you bash this hard enough stock, expect bent driveshafts and a bent chassis eventually.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The cure for that without buying $$$'s in supposed upgrades is to practice driving, don't case jumps and don't launch your $1000+ RC into the air with no regards to how it will land. Bashing is cool and all, but pulling TH-cam stunts for ad revenue isn't my game.

    How is parts support? How many years will they offer parts for this vehicle?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent - since the launch of the vehicle , it's still a relevant today. The best thing about Tekno is that all of the electric vehicles are modular - in other words, many of the parts are cross compatible - for the MT410, it uses the arms/drives/turnbuckles from the ET48 and the chassis, center driveline from the EB48 - bumpers from the SCT410, etc. If you've had an RTR before this is a HUGE step above any of those.

Arrma uses stamped aluminum vs Tekno’s had anodized, machined Aluminum. The other thing that always bothered me on the Arrma’s were how noisy they were - when you compress the suspension. The pivot balls squeak, have stiction, etc. the MT410 is buttery smooth. Just my $0.02. BTW, I got rid of every Arrma I had....but kept the MT410

    In terms of handling how does this compare to the Kraton EXB? I am trying to decide which one of these to get for my 11 year old son..I love the idea of building a truck with him and it being all his but I don't want it to be a truck that isn't easy to drive for him. I always like a non pivot ball suspension, TBH. The MT410 uses traditional knuckles and hubs vs. pivot balls on the Kraton. The MT410, in all regards blows away the EXB. The MT410 is based from Tekno's race line of vehicles....so it's using top quality materials, is highly adjustable and Tekno's durability is through the roof. Plus you can actually build the MT410 - it's one of the best laid out RC's to build. The EXB comes 90% built...just gotta add electronics.

    100% worth the $$ in my opinion! i like Arrma for what they r but an outcast or kraton just don't match up to the MT410.. the plastics and milled aluminum that Tekno uses is miles better.. for example I've owned a V1 kraton since the first year they've came out and i love it.. if i had to add up all the parts I've invested into my kraton from diffs and bent up shock towers to bearings and hubs i could've built 2-3 MT410's no problem! I'm yet to break a part on my MT410 other then a body mount and that was completely my fault.. in my opinion the Tekno is a different Beast and it's hard to drive for me anyways as I'm still getting the hang of it but other then it being unruly (think the provided diff fluids r too thick) i love it!

    If you buy an Arrma Outcast $500 lest $50 free cupón and also free shipping ! So with $ 450 you are going to have an amazing truck base on 1:8 buggy bulletproof layout, with outstanding electronics even the servo has steel gears, 6s motor, 150 Ampere esc, 2.4 Ghz radio , reinforced body, high traction tires, full aluminum shocks, that also looks amazing and has all suspension tuning possibilities like caster, camber, toe. You don't need to spend $ 1000 to have the best truck !!!

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With all due respect, the Outcast is a great truck...I have one. For the $499 (let's keep it to values less coupons) it's a great truck for 80% of the RC crowds out there. It's powerful, durable and it looks great. The thing about RC is that 80% of the people that love the Outcast want to improve it to make it even better otherwise aftermarket companies wouldn't exist. That's when $100-150 servos (the Arrma servos are terribly slow), $200 shocks (yes, people are upgrading the Kraton, Outcast, etc with Tekno shocks), the list goes on and on. Now for the 20% of people that just want a better designed truck. Tekno designs full out race proven rigs. Arrma does not - They're in the looks and MPH game. Tekno gives you CNC'd aluminum parts. Armma gives you stamped aluminum. Tekno gives you fully adjustable geometry. Arrma gives you fixed geometry. The list keeps going. But ask ANY Tekno MT410 owner (or any Tekno owner for that matter) They're the best built and designed trucks on the planet and wit that comes a price increase over the mediocre trucks out there. Any one that I let drive the Outcast vs. the Tekno say hands down the Tekno is better.....

      @TboneTenEighties 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The RCNetwork The fact that the MT410 has the same size characteristics like width/ length and weighs well over a lb and a half lighter helps with the truck feeling more nimble, tighter or better lol especially faster!. I can run an electric in my yard without the neighbors complaining. I have 1 that complains to the police about my weed eater gas engine. It's basically the same engine as yours at 32cc. Don't get me wrong I would love a fuel driven RC but would have to travel out of state for the closest place to run it. I am in the market for an RC right now. I have a budget but when it comes to buying a rtr car and having to put a fortune into making it durable and fast and drivable, this review of the MT-410 looks like the ticket to me. Bite the bullet and get quality up front and not sit with an expensive pile of RC waiting to see if the next up grade will start to make the hobby fun yet. Some just can't use fuel where they are and some know rtr's don't always scream great bargain. I raced years ago. I raced a Kyosho 2wd buggy on pavement in stock and modified classes, against street pan cars, with a bone stock buggy. I never broke a part not even after getting slammed into in the front wheels by people trying to wipe out my car. I did really good because the car was good. No buying upgrades every week. People buying other cars and spent way more than I did. The same people that said I spent to much on my car. Sometimes saving a little longer and buying true quality first can save you money in the long run. That car ended up being the least expensive car on the track after everybody's upgrades that should have moved them all to modified class. It finished 6th in stock(most cars in class) and 2nd overall in modified classes. I even missed races because of my job. Sometimes more equals less in the long run. Good luck and enjoy that nice Losi! I wish I could run it without complaints. Nothing like having the cops pull in the driveway every time I get my weed eater out. Probably not Les...the MT410 easily made my top 5 RC's of all time....

      ahhhhh I guess I'm going to have to build one then.

      It's an easy build...watch my hour long EB48.4 build......much of the same as the MT410....I show all the tougher parts like the diffs, shocks, etc

      This was all 4s....not really a need for 6s if you have a well balanced 4s system

    Those suspension arms are NOT indestructible, I have a box full of broken ones. They mainly fail at the hinge pin, but I've snapped a few in half on my ET48.3

      Dan Lewis I don’t mean to come off wrong, but driving skill plays a huge part in what breaks, especially on a Tekno. Nothing is indestructible, but after owning 7 Tekno’s now, I’ve only broken one arm.....

    • @biscuitsticks438
      @biscuitsticks438 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The RCNetwork Tekno is the only brand I own for on & off the track, so after hundreds of hours I have broke and bent nearly every part on the EB/ET series. I was just qoiting the part where you said they were "indestructible". To be fair most of my failures were due to poor media in the injection molding process and there were large air cavities in the arm, but other brand new arms would fail after 1 tumble.

      caspar jenk ya that's obvious. it's 4x4 and it's tekno. proline for a 2wd is pretty cool though it's basically a slash 2wd with a short chassis. same design.
