- F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jet take off. US Air Force F-22 Raptor is a fifth-generation fighter aircraft, american single-seat, twin-engine, stealth tactical fighter aircraft developed exclusively for the United States Air Force (USAF). The aircraft was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but also has ground attack, electronic warfare, and signal intelligence capabilities.
The cost of one F-22 Raptor aircraft alone is an estimated $334 million which includes research and development (unit cost of $150 million). The Air Force originally wanted 700 F-22s to be produced but had to cancel production just shy of 200 because they were already over-budget. The flight cost per hour for an F-22 is roughly $70,000.

F35 is ok but the F22 will always be it’s big brother. Even more impressive in person. Almost appears to defy gravity. Floats like butterfly and stings like a bee. True air superiority.
Well yeah the F-35 is like a recon jet the F-22 goes in for the kill but the F-35 has the means to defend its self in a dog fight. like the Raptor apparently it can even fly kinda similar to the F-22 with sharp turns and all, not as great as the raptor again but it’s main purpose is ground targets.
@@mattk9644 Different roles, I know. One’s a multirole fighter (f35) where the F22 was built more for total air superiority with its trust vectoring.

I hear these noises almost every day. They sound like no other aircraft I've ever heard. The lines or vectors they take after take off and while dropping from 20,000 to land are so unorthodox. Its as if they were UFOs. Autumn is beautiful in Alaska.
Took my kids to an airshow in the UK with the Raptor and F35 display. When the Raptor went vertical the kids had to have in-ear plugs, ear defenders, plus my wife and I squashing the ear defenders over their ears. It was insane and so memorable. Saw the Cobra, the stall, and the controlled flat spin. Insane. Planes are supposed to maintain velocity for lift right? No... Amazing. In thrust vector we trust.

It’s also the same plane that has no export orders, hasn’t shown the ability to shoot its guns or air to air missiles from internal bays in flight, and Russia’s only partner, India, backed out of the partnership citing numerous problems with its stealth features and engines. And that’s coming from an ally of Russia’s that has a very long history of buying Russian military equipment. Despite the fact that the Raptor first flew over twenty years ago, to date Russia still hasn’t built a fighter that can match its power, stealth, radars, situational awareness or sensor fusion.

@Grogu Relax turbo, I thought all Woodland patterns were retired and all utilities and suits went to OCP. Obviously, the Woodland pattern is in limited use based on this video and I prefer the Woodland pattern over OCP.

Well against America best f15 and f16 4 f22 done over and over shot down over 20 f15 at a time that's good. In red flag training when no other plane can do this..
Were they do MOPP training or just have the gas masks on due to fumes/exhaust?
