@darkgames3477 Okay, say you are sitting in a run-down park, and you decide to go out of your way to clean it up. You pay to repair the playground, fix the paths, and even plant down more trees. You do this all on your own with the city, letting you do it because you do such a good job. Then an invassive species enters the park out of nowhere and you decide to just report it to the city because it isn’t your place to deal with it despite you spending so much money and time on the park. Then, it turns out the city lacks the means to remove the invasive species at all and just let it run rampant. This is getting worse and worse with this invasive species killing more and more of the local wildlife because it is so resiliant. This is a real problem, but it isn’t your place to deal with it, and you think you may not be able to control yourself after removing the invasive species. Now finally someone from the community comes and decides "Fuck it that guy isn’t going to fix this so I will" and you go to remove the invassive species but you come to stop them and report them to the cops for interfering with the Park. You do this everytime someone tries to solve the issue in spite of everyone wanting someone to just get rid of the invasive species because it is making everything worse and also getting worse and wose to the point the damn thing is killing people! At a certain point along the way you should just get rid of the damn thing because you made it your place by stepping in out of nowhere.
@@thegamebusters5413 I gonna point out a few mistakes here.
1. Gotham doesn’t give Joker a death penalty simply because of his mental health so they don’t lack the resources, they just need a competent cop with a gun.
2.Batman stops other vigilants, heroes and villains from killing the joker but he has allowed those are working for the law to do it, he has given Gordon 3 chances to kill the Joker.
Even in other works, he has allowed cops to kill criminals, his problem is when someone outside the law gets to decide who lives and dies.
If Gordon actually just went in and shot the Joker just once then this would be over very soon.
So yeah Batman doesn’t stop the joker nor does he allow other heroes/vigilants from doing so but if a cop actually does it then Batman is not stopping them.
2.5- Each time a cop actually managed to do it on the Joker, the plot saves him. Gordon shot Joker in the face once, Joker had a bath in a upgraded lazarus pit that gave him a healing factor.
They really are perfect for each other.

Batman didn’t even break his rule
He didn’t leave Joker to die. Joker has full control over whether he could save his own life or not, and Bruce knew that.
And he made sure Joker knew that before leaving him.
This is missing the best panel, the part where Joker tells Bruce something to the effect of "we both know you're going to save me" and Bruce just gives him a 'nah im done' deadpan stare before leaving.
Doesn't Alfred spend the last minute or so before the bomb goes of laughing at the joker too?

Literally the best part in the whole comic, the ultimate moral of the story, the big F-U to all of the people on the internet who repeat stuff like "Batman would save Joker over other people" ad nauseam without having ever read a single comic... just got left out!!! 😭😭😭
I like that last note. Harley saying Gotham cant be redeemed full of horrible people. Bruce happy Harley survived. Because she is an example of otherwise. She was bad following the Joker blindly. But she changed and has aimed to do the right thing. Even if it's in her own way. So it shows Gotham may have bad people, but A it also has good within it and B people can reform and change for the better.
That's one of the main reasons I think Harley is key to Batmans rogues Gallery. She is the main example of one of his rogues gallery turning a page and becoming a good guy because he opts NOT to just gun down the bad guys. Similar thing has happened with Clayface and Mr. Freeze depending on the Writers. Catwoman as well plays a role in this. For every irredeemable Joker you can have a Redeemable Harley.

Also, it does depend on the writer, but from what I recall, Harley hasn't killed people. She's definitely kidnapped and threatened but not outright murdered anyone.

@@haroldasusus4684 Batman may have been trying to inform Joker by giving him a fair opportunity to escape a dangerous situation right before leaving to save Harley without having to waste time to help him.
Bruce will always try to save a life no matter the person so it make sense that Bruce would want to at least give Joker a chance to survive his situation
He told Joker how to disarm the bomb because he had already decided he would go for Harley. This shows that Batman values Harley's life more than Joker, but would like for both to survive. He's a hopeless hero who always tries to save lives, even those who don't deserve it.
He was doing that in an attempt to save BOTH of them, not just one. It's completely in line with his saving life values.
