I have had success by using car interior silicone on the rubbers AND their painted sealing surface. No aerosol, just the cheapest trigger pump gun. I do it in August when it's still warm and dry. All doors, especially the back hatch door. If you wash the car in the winter, keep a bottle of lock deicer with you 100% rubbing alcohol
