SegWay Teardown and Repair
This video is basic tear down an rebuild
rebuild might not be the proper phrase it's take apart and put back together basically I didn't know what the inside of this machine looks like I also did some upgrades and some basic repairs check it out let me know what you think and if you have any information on this unit because apparently it's not a Segway
if it is it's an offshoot brand or an aftermarket style and I have no information on it or even how it works or operates so if you have a manual for this machine or you know someone who does and you could share it that would be awesome

      we don’t have a harbour freight that I know of in Canada but they’re absolutely isn’t one of my area if we did I would shop there all the time The US has dozens of stores that me being a Canadian have never heard of, and when I go there, I am just amazed like Menards that store blew me away. When I started planning on this Van build I how to deal to purchase a sprinter van at a very very low price and the deal kind of fell through so I ended up buying a Winnebago view, which has the front end of a sprinter and a Winnebago back There was never going to be a Motor I was going to use kinetic energy to raise and lower the bed in the form of the spring a garage door spring. I still might make this, but I need a place to install it. Ray

    • @clevelandexplorer2221
      @clevelandexplorer2221 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@shopandmath oh I get you, thats brilliant! I wondered what kinetic meant, sorry if you said in the video :) can you speculate why people don't use motors? I think I may be naive thinking appropriate wire would cost a tenner gbp and the motor £20 as, say, an ebay windscreen wiper motor. I've thought on it for years and can't think where there might be flaws or hazards in the system; as steel stretches, the <£1 limit switches would keep the range within those parameters mechanically and all corners relative; easy adjustment with a screw tensioner and butt hinges for a 2/1 pulley with thin unistrut or extrusion and roller guides :o less head room but could sit below or raise for garage access, specific to individual and needs. The system would be modular too, could go manual til a motor upgrade down the line :o Van builds are so intimidating, but I hope you appreciate my asking around for advice so I could potentially learn or get a different angle on something from another's experience :) I have some wild ideas mind, I do wonder on the fruition:") I suppose you're not at liberty to disclose how/where to get them cheap but my step dad says the £500 immobile vans on ebay are the way to go, as they usually just need simple fixes like new lights or housigs etc. Any experiences you could advise please bud? I understand you probably gets tons of messages and questions though Thanks! :)

    • @shopandmath
      @shopandmath หลายเดือนก่อน

      Without me, actually seeing the unit, it can’t be a little difficult to talk to you about it If you have long bolts and you need to remove the bolts and it’s just the stud sticking out, if you double nut the bolts, you can unscrew the stud but you have to be careful if these were Loctited in place, you may remove the threads and you don’t wanna do that Use extreme caution

  • @outthere9370
    @outthere9370 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Well done! But you can see why these parts are so expensive. To have a machine shop makes these units you'd be better off coughing up yr hard earned cash & just buy them!!

    • @shopandmath
      @shopandmath หลายเดือนก่อน

      first off thank you for taking the time to comment. It is much appreciated. I have a super cost savings way of producing these bearings by simply using angle brackets and 3-D Printing the bearing itself From 1 kg of 3-D Printing material I could probably make at least 20 bearings out of cost of around $30 for the roll A flat piece of aluminum in two angles, and a couple of screws. If you don’t have a shop to do this, you could go to a place like the Steele store. (this is a local place close to me.) and they would cut the material to size for you for a small fee per cut. I’m guessing you could probably produce these bearings for around $20 each, I hope that this helps, and there’s nothing wrong with saving a couple of dollars here and there just as long as everything we do is safe Ray

    You discovered this problem a year after purchase. I discovered it about a week after I purchased mine. I didn't do the research because I was told Honda made the best and most durable engines on the planet. Big mistake. I've been doing the oil changes every 6 months or every 2000 miles as I intend to keep my '22 as long as possible. The puzzling thing is I have heard that the problem persists in the latest gen of the L1.5 turbo. They could have mated the turbo with the 2.0 engine that is nearly unbreakable. Why did they not do that ? Questions, questions...
