- Had the idea to make a beat everyday, for 7 days in a row. I'm sometimes too hard on myself when it comes to liking my own beats. So a lot of beats get deleted usually... That's the reason I wanted to make this video, even if the beat wasn't quite my thing, I still had to put it in the video. So excuse me if some beats sound strange or anything haha... Let me know in the comments which beat you like the most. Enjoy!

Its kind of crazy that I feel cats from anywhere but US are still keeping that boom bap and culture alive. I am not knocking newer music, but I do feel the culture is def not what it used to be here. Bboy events, DJing etc. in europe, japan are much more popular than it is here.
well hiphop has evolved from one genre. traphop is def different than boombap for example. boombap culture has stayed the same. you just dont see it as much.
I don't get that impression I think theres just small sects within a nation or certain cities around europe that get known for it, like Brighton in the UK I would say would be this style's of HipHop's home

I mean I think that's something that always happens to the us. Like many folk in the us totally forgot about blues music till the rolling stones went over and made it popular amongst white people. I once did live sound for a blues gig and the blues man from the deep south said had it not been for Europe's interest in blues music a lot of bluesmen would have been forgotten about in the USA. I also think the 90s helped revive an interest in funk music

Great set up & beautiful vintage equipment!! All of the beats were fire in their own way!! I loved day one's beat for it's simplicity!! It takes me back to the bare essence of what was used to make boom bap hip hop with minimal equipment!! Everything was nicely thought out. Also I want to commend you on your video skills as well!! It took time to put this collage of clips together!! I went to school for radio & tv in the early 90's & doing video is not a shoot & I'm done process. Things are easier in a sense of having editing software where just about anyone can do it now. Still it takes skills to learn to use a camera & edit video with sound & music! Very thought out video!! DOPE!!

Awesome video. I love watching people make beats and you are very good at it. Day 2 was my favourite. The part where you only have the bass line from that sample - is it the original sample filtered or the bass on it's own in the sample? I tend to feel guilty about using samples which stops me creating anything worthwhile. Keep up the great work!
