I've got an XSW IEM pack doing the same power cycling thing. I'm going to rip it apart and see if it's similar inside and has the same problem. Thanks!
hey, great vid thanks. Mine have sundenly started to heat up and eat through batteries (after 2 hours brand new AA are both flat) would you have an idea of what is going on ? maybe they got damaged by phantom power ? what is weird is that this happened to all 3 of them
That’s a coil and I don’t have a part number. Sennheiser will be no help. The old one should have a part number on it and if you still have it then solder it back on, they almost never fail unless shorted out
Great video, thank you for being so thorough. Any advice to repair the menu scroll buttons? They don't work even if i press them with the board exposed. Thanks!
You may have to swap them out with a donar board. Maybe manually short out the pins on the board to verify that the circuit actually works. If you can short the traces on the board and make the buttons work, you may have damaged buttons and have to change them.
Greetings from Argentina. I wanted to ask you if you can help me! I have the ew 100 g3 handheld transmitter microphone and now when I turn it on, on its display it has an indicator with the initials "AF" that measures the amount of signal it is transmitting while you speak or sing... Now when I turn it on, without speaking or singing directly, the "AF" signal that it marks on the display goes almost to the top, as if it were transmitting audio. and then when you actually start to sing or talk into the microphone, it picks up as usual but when it plays the audio it does it with a little bit of noise, like it's some kind of RF noise, bad signal. I already tried changing your capsule, changing cables, trying another receiving base, and obviously, the problem is the transmitter. Is it permanently damaged? Or what could be causing that? From already thank you very much for your time.
Have you changed the frequency? channel or group? Scan from the receiver for unused channels and try one at a time until your signal is clean. Hope this helps...
Thanks. But what if your system doesn't run in that band range? Does the antenna have to be specific to the frequency range? My EW300 G3 IEM system runs on band A (516-558mhz) and the only replacement antenna I've been able to find is the one you have for the higher range.
Hello. question: does anyone know how I can get the Service manual (calibration) for Sennheiser wireless microphone Xsw1 DUAL? Is it possible to put the receiver in "test mode" or disable the "pilot tone key" to carry out calibration? Thank you. Jocelyn
11:15 that is a surface mount inductor sensible to unit physical drops

yes there are 2 different antennas for these units and you will have to use the correct one. I got mine from sennheiser a few years ago.
