    Excellent job! I found your channel a week or so ago, and have been fully tuned in almost daily. I love your work, especially as pertains to ministeries, media & streaming. We pastor in Mississippi, and run a relationship counseling & instruction service. We have a number of books on relationships and ministry, and we stream 4 to 5 times a week. Live streaming is an essential and invaluable part of what we do. Thanks for speaking to this critical need. Your presentation style and knowledge are top notch. New sub!

    My church uses this camera and it works great. It is a clone of a more expensive PTZ Optics camera. PTZ optics is a great company but my small church can't afford the cost. This camera is also POE capable, which is what we use with NDI and vMix.

    • @MonteWeaverofficial
      @MonteWeaverofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From the soundboard, find your audio out and connect it directly to your computer OR connect it directly to your video switcher. In OBS you just select it as an audio source. If you connected directly to your computer, it will be your computer input, if you connected directly to the video switcher it will be the name of that device.

    Hi, looking to upgrade our streaming at my church. Looking to run one camera, I know I would need a laptop and ptz camera. I don’t want to hook it up to our mixer. Don’t you need to assign camera output settings in black magic software? I mean if you have presets configured and let say you wanna swap with another camera, how does it detect presets? Let say one of camera is sdi and others are hdmi? I don’t think it will appear in scene mode in obs if output settings on camera does not match presets, e.g camera swap..

    • @MonteWeaverofficial
      @MonteWeaverofficial  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Everything depends on how you use it. If you swap cameras, yes you wil need to set up your presets for your new camera. Most people are swapping out cameras that often. you can bring sdi and hdmi and ndi cameras into obs. presets are just related to the controller, not obs

    Hi Monte and thanks for your video! I wanted to ask you if the PTZ camera that you feature in this video makes much, if any, noise as it pans or tilts? During our worship services this would not be an issue at all, of course, but during quiet moments of prayer or during a sermon, the noise of the camera, if it makes any noise at all, would be potentially noticeable. Your comments would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    • @MonteWeaverofficial
      @MonteWeaverofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gregory. The camera does make noise when Pan-Tilt-Zooming but it is minimal. Because PTZ cameras have a long range with 20x and 30x zooms, if you're able to position them further away, the noise wouldn't be noticeable.

    • @gregorysmith8222
      @gregorysmith8222 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MonteWeaverofficial Thanks for your kind reply. Our church's hall is fairly small and therefore the camera would be rather close to the people. I imagine that placing them fairly high on the wall might help minimize the noise. In our situation a 12x zoom is probably more than sufficient. Hmmm, how much noise do they make...the one way to find out is to buy one and see I guess. Thanks again.

    We're considering going to PTZ cameras in our church. In planning all the wiring, can this set up be done using cat 6? Churches are typically pretty large and thinking about long runs of HDMI, power, and whenever connects the cam controller to the PTZs seems really expensive.

    • @MonteWeaverofficial
      @MonteWeaverofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Each church is very different in terms of physical size and budgets so there are definitely many ways to setup and connect. Honestly the cost of equipment ( hardware and software ) to produce quality live streams is significantly more affordable than what it has been, it may seems expensive to new audiences getting in this live-streaming video environment. To answer you question, you can definitely setup IP over your network and use CAT5-6 or 7 cabling. I would also remind you to make sure that you are using a POE switch to power your PTZ cameras and PTZ controller to help eliminate extra and unnecessary cable runs.

      The Atem Mini is a video switcher that allows multiple hdmi devices (cameras, iPads, computer screens ) to be connected to it. Then you have the atem switcher connected to a computer. This allows all the processing to happen on the switcher rather than connecting everything directly to the computer.

    My main question is about the video quality. Is the quality is better than Panasonic 4K Ultra HD Video Camera Camcorder HC-VX981K, 20X Optical Zoom? If you have any youtube link you recorded with the ptz camera, can you share it with me, please?
    Thank you in advance.

      @MonteWeaverofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never used a Panasonic 4K but I would assume that any 4K camera would provide a better quality than any 1080p camera. The video I uploaded right after this one shows the quality of the camera. Also PLEASE REMEMBER ... lighting is important as well. For this particular setup, we still need to dial in better lighting to improve the overall quality. th-cam.com/video/XYqbZBXbrSY/w-d-xo.html

      You don't have to daisy chain PTZ cameras if you don't want. Daisy chaining just allows you to control with them 1 single controller. You could just use a remote and wouldn't have to worry about cabling.

      If you plug them into the Atem mini pro you can then use the Atem as a webcam. you will need the Atem mini pro because it allows you to delay the sound and fix the audio/video sync problems. The basic Atem mini does not have this feature. OBS will allow you to delay the audio too but I like the way the Pro does it and once set you don't have to worry about it if you connect to Zoom. It also records and does livestream so you might not need a computer.
