Excellent review of these types of cameras. Well done! Also, with these types of systems, it's OK to start out with something less expensive, planning to replace it, planning to replace it with better products at lower prices. So a modular approach to buying things makes sense so you can upgrade components as they become more affordable with equal or better quality.
Thank you once again for your excellent presentation, sir. I have a few questions: 1 .Do we need special lighting for the cameras you mentioned? 2. Can these cameras be used for a wedding event? 3. Do these cameras have any wireless capabilities? I'm concerned that if we set one camera on the speaker's podium and another on the audience, there will be too many wires on the floor.
(1) For PTZ cameras, you will need good lighting as the sensors on PTZ cameras are smaller. (2) Yes, I have live streamed wedding with PTZ cameras as a solo live stream producer (3) Some PTZ cameras have wireless capabilities, an option that I use are wireless HDMI adapters, transmitter connected to the camera and receiver end connected to my video switcher
Outdoor streaming, mobile setup. The ones I’ve tried so far have struggled with exposure. Setting up while the sun is still up then streaming until the lights come on at the ballpark means I’m adjusting exposure or shutter. But having presets for all parts of the field is +++++. Outdoors can definitely be a challenge. All of my 1080p cameras struggle with the exposure, constantly adjusting in changing weather conditions. I want to try the BZB Gear 4K outdoors because I do have more settings that can control with some auto settings, but because its my main studio camera, I don't want to take it outside. Last time I took it outside was for a wedding and it started raining :(
@JasonHoffmanYT yeah. I’m getting more use to there other hardware. They are sending over to me there 4K video switcher next week so I’ll be reviewing that soon.

Great Job Monte ...which camera would be good for a small narrow church if I want to add on the controller? Also which controller would be good to match with PTZ optic camera?

Monte, I just ran into the beauty of PTZ cameras, I was exposed to the Sony FR7. My situation is I need 2 security cameras, or maybe 3, I plan to use 2 cameras to set up for security for my house apartment 24/7 and if I got money for 1 more I plan to use for a webcam as modern webcam is pretty bad in video quality. Is the Sony FR7 enough for me? How would I go about this?
Without knowing specifics of your use case, I definitely don’t want you spending hard earned money on a Sony FR7, but if the budget allows, it is a great PTZ camera option. I would definitely not use a webcam because webcams are made specifically for sitting in front of a computer, close distance. There are definitely sub $2000 for PTZ Cameras kits less than the cost of 1 FR7
This is right on time because I'm looking to purchase a PTZ camera. Our use case will be primarily indoor ministry related. Which camera would you suggest if the indoor lighting is not that good? The budget would in the hundreds. Looking forward to the next video.
From my research a bunch of the sub $1000 cameras are all using the same supplier for their camera sensor, so just about every 1080p resolution camera will have the same image quality in low light. Its not until the 4K PTZ cameras that I've actually noticed a real difference in low light. This is the lowest priced one I found on Amazon - amzn.to/49atCBc ( I haven't used it before )

@cce47 mirrorless cameras and lenses provide a better picture quality in my opinion as you don’t require as much light for the image to look good. Low lit areas with PTZ cameras don’t look the best in terms of overall visual quality.

Depends on the rest of your setup. If you are using NDI .. your camera must be NDI capable and your computer must have NDI installed and you must have NDI on your software that you want to capture the video source. You can do it without any HDMI cables

Power of Ethernet. Using a POE switch allows power to be sent over your network cable that can power on a POE camera, which helps eliminate the use of a traditional power cable for the cable. Here's a video i made a couple years ago about it - th-cam.com/video/_7wa0zNe6xo/w-d-xo.html
Can I be able to control & power a ptz via ethernet, yet transmitting the video from it via sdi or hdmi? Or, I have to strictly use ethernet only if i have decided to power and control it via ethernet?
Controlling of a PTZ can be done with a remote control, ptz controller or control software. You can power it with POE while transmitting video via sdi or hdmi.

And I tell hem, I need the ethernet access, he say if I add the camera, ( ip address, will be exposed to private to public, ) ... the church have to " ethernet, one public, and one private, "... the public is very very slow 🐌 but the other one is better, but the problem is how I can add the ptz to the fast network, with out put the unsafe the network????
Really great video Monte! Just wondering if you could tell me what sort of latency I could expect if I was trying to record a video and simultaneously send the same video feed to multiple video screens in as close to real time as possible over NDI. For context the use is case is a music studio where musicians would not have line of sight so the cameras would be used to bridge that gap as well as record and live stream. Any help is greatly appreciated:)
Latenency is typcially less than a second. I would suggest checking your network and data infrastructor as that is a factor as well.
Can you recommend a system I can use to stream outdoor soccer. I will be using my phone as a hotspot to stream live games. I’d like the ability to control the camera while streaming. Budget 1.5-2k.
Yolobox Pro or OBSBOT Talent - urlgeni.us/amazon/OaHqx
Are these PTZ camera good for long term shoots such as construction work Timelapse?
Yes, I never turn my PTZ cameras off
This video is really amazing, say I have 2000€ to invest in cameras and controller, what would you recommend?
I do live switching of classical music with my ATEM mini pro currently with a couple of M50’s but they are not very convenient, so I’m looking for the possibility of adding a couple of PTZ that I can control or program

I have RC821U Zoom Certified 1080P 60FPS PTZ Camera and am only using HDMI connections to HDMI Splitter and cameras are ok but when in a meeting I cant see cameras for the meeting any help on the connections
I would need more information. How are your cameras connected to your computer?
Hi
I purchased a Chameye C720N ptz camera/controller kit for my church. Got it all connected through PoE and it's controller but I have no video. The controller displays the ip of the camera, but it won't move it.
Tried a free NDI software to see if my laptop would detect it and it does, but no video.
Do I still to connect a hdmi cable for video?
Depends on the rest of your setup. If you are using NDI .. your camera must be NDI capable and your computer must have NDI installed and you must have NDI on your software that you want to capture the video source. You can do it without any HDMI cables
It looks like the Prisual PTZ pairs with a joystick board for just under $1k but maxes out at 1080. The next jump appears to be $2800 for the BZB Gear option which is comparable in other features but offers 4k. Is there a middle of the road option that is 4k and in the 1-2k range with ai tracking and separate operating board?
AVKANS has a 4K camera under $1500 but doesn’t have AI tracking. amzn.to/4aGiTQ9 - I have not seen anyone 4K AI cameras under $2,000 yet.
Obsbot tail air? It has 4k ptz and NDI under 1k$
Are you gonna review the new birddog x line?
I’ve never been contacted by BirdDog to review their cameras
Monte, you have a wireless solution with the PTZ, Atem and PTZ Controller?
I use the Hollyland 400s pro wireless system but any HDMI transmitter and receiver combo should work.
Hello, I have a church who is using the following camera to live stream via Zoom. However they are having an issue with low audio for online viewers. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the audio and provide a better online experience? Thanks
10x Optical Zoom PTZ Camera USB Live Streaming Camera FULL HD 1080p
Great audio, video and lighting! I can’t give specifics because I have no context about your current setup or what a budget would be to make any technical improvements.
I’ve been having trouble connecting my ptz (tongveo) same one in your video to the network. For some reason it connects fine on the web browser and I did everything like you did in the other videos My Fomako ptz connected great and I can control it in OBS Ptz control but won’t work for the Tongveo PTZ what am I doing wrong? they are all in the same network 🤦🏻♂️
Without seeing the steps you’re taken and your network l, it’s nearing impossible to troubleshoot. Have you contacted to Tongveo support team about the issue?
@@MonteWeaverofficial tried very hard to get an answer. I also tried emailing them it’s been 2 weeks now and nothing 🤦🏻♂️
@nuevavidafay That not cool. Troubleshooting through written format is tough. Visually being able to look at settings with understanding of the environments for technical troubleshooting is definitely easier vs assuming specifics. I no longer offer consultations (people don’t pay) may want to consult with AjayTheCEO or a local person
What mic are you using here?
In the description of each video, I have a links to everything! because i use so much different equipment, I can't remember what was used in each video. definitely check the description section.
Church installs, personal studio and some outdoor events in the future (hopefully) great work as usual @MonteWeaverofficial
I just received my first inquiry ever this week for live-streaming a high school graduation. I’m hoping to do more outdoor events as well.
Can you explain the PoE or Power Over Ethernet option for these cameras. Can the whole camera be powered over the ethernet connection?
Power of Ethernet. Using a POE switch allows power to be sent over your network cable that can power on a POE camera, which helps eliminate the use of a traditional power cable for the cable. Here's a video i made a couple years ago about it - th-cam.com/video/_7wa0zNe6xo/w-d-xo.html
@@MonteWeaverofficial just what I was looking for, very helpful, thanks very much. S
Will you able to recommendation any PTZ camera for outdoor sport in 500 - 1K budget

Hi monte I am trying to pick a fairly reasonable price or let me go ahead and say it a cheap good quality camera system to live stream our church service. Our sanctuary is fairly large. The sound booth is at the back of the room centered with the stage it is approx 100 ft away from front of stage. We would like to get a close up view. Any suggestions that might be best. I am brand new to this and volunteering trying to figure it out. Any help is appreciated

I'm a baseball mom. I'm starting from scratch. My husband coaches our 16 year old son's travel baseball team. I've been streaming the games on GameChanger via my iPhone 12Pro Max. I want to up the quality for the parents watching from home and really want to get some great crisp footage of my son in action in center field. He also pitches on occasion. I need some help with building a manageable travel friendly setup that I can handle those tasks and standup also the unpredictable Ohio weather. Thinking of how to capture footage that can be used for college recruiting purposes as well. Do you do one-on-one consults? I'm giving myself a budget between $1-3K. Please help. I sent you an email as well.
Just responded to your email and tagging my YT friend @JasonHoffman as well, because he specializes in baseball
