    Great videos!
    BTW - Just so you know - You need to configure Internet Protocol 4, not 6. As your laptop and most of the majority of users will be using P 4. I doubt any PTZ cameras out there support Internet Protocol 6. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for this very useful video! I am setting up a PTZ camera and it was suggested to use NDI. Is this the same as what you are doing? Also, how can I tell if the local network already has a POE switch? What cat of cables should be used? And finally, the laptop in question is using an Ethernet-USB-A adapter. I’m wondering if this should be updated to an Ethernet to USB-C adapter for better speed

    I’m new to all of this. Trying to get my church set up so I’m learning as much as I can, so I hope my question is not silly. But do I also need to add a stream switcher to the poe switch and then add the ptz cameras to the video switcher? Or do the ptz cameras and the video switcher go on the poe switch

    • @MonteWeaverofficial
      @MonteWeaverofficial  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don't need a POE switch, but it is a benefit if you want to place all your cameras on the network and/or power them without using a DC power supply. In order for your production team to switch between different cameras, you would need a video switcher.

    Hi Monte,
    Great channel, its really been helping me out alot with my camera network but am having a few issues pulling up my network cameras in OBS as I see you have in this video without a Atem Mini switcher.
    Also am considering getting an Atem Mini Pro, I see you connected yours in this video without connecting any HDMI cables, will that setup allow me to operate my cameras on the network?
    Hoping you can help me.

    So if I have a multiple PoE to connect my PTZ CAMERAS, no need to connect them in an OUTLET with their own power cables?

    What about the ATEM MINI, does it neet to connect to an outlet or just to the PoE?

    I have an AETM mini. Can I get the video signal from the network cable ?

    • @MonteWeaverofficial
      @MonteWeaverofficial  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The purpose of the ATEM is to receive a video signal from your camera via HDMI. So I’m not sure what you are specifically asking as the ATEM has nothing to do with sending a video signal via your network.

    • @JasonAlexis
      @JasonAlexis 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MonteWeaverofficial Thanks for replying. If I have a PTZ camera that is PoE enabled, I can use a PoE swtich to power that camera. I cam also use a PTZ controller to send video to that camera. Especially if they are on the same switcher. I can also connect my ATEM mini to the same switcher where that can talk with the network. I watched another video by @AjaytheCEO partially (after this one) where I believe it's possible. In the ATEM mini camera software, you should be able to set each camera slot the digital camera feed as it's being communicated in the network. That's where I am not sure. My ideal setup as I understand it so far is I can just use a network cable to power, control and get the videos from each camera that is several feet away without having to run an HDMI or HDMI/Ethernet converter option to get the video as well.

    Crucial question, I'm new to this.
    Can all this configuration be done offline? That is, I don't need to be connected to an internet network and only do it within a local network using nothing more than the POE switch?
    I want to do this configuration in rural areas where there is no internet connection, either wifi or Ethernet network, but I am interested in using the POE protocol for its practicality.
    Is that possible? The video would only be recorded locally using a capture device such as OBS.
    Another question, can I use one controller and use different PTZ cameras of different brands or do I need to have the cameras of the same brand as the controller?

      All PTZ cameras are different and I don't know which camera you have. I would 1st go to the manufacturer website or reference your user manual and check for the ip address. Another way for some cameras is to plug in your camera into a monitor source and reboot the camera and some show the ip address of the camera. A 3rd way to to do a hard-reset, (again you will need to reference your manual to see how to do this) to change the ip address back to the default ip address of the camera.
