Thank you very much for always sharing these ideas to study the Bible. Just wanted to let you know that through these videos God has used you to get me excited about studying His wonderful word. I’m praying for you and your family.
I just want to say thank you! I haven’t started journaling like this in my Bible but because of you I want to. Instead my bibles each year are sooo marked up with circles words and underlining that I have to get a new one each year. I am excited to learn to add my sermon notes and study notes in a way I can keep them and not have to buy a new Bible every year! Also the BIGGEST thank you is for stating what your passion is. My family teases me because if I have an afternoon off I would rather be in my Bible than anything else. The don’t understand how I can spend so much time and get up early for a couple hours each morning in the Bible. Today you put a word to my reason. DELIGHT and it made me feel so good that the Lord has blessed me with such a gift as to delight in His word. I don’t know how I stumbled across your channel but I am soooo thankful I did! I’m hooked. ❤
I’m going to be 70 this year & I’ve always written all over my Bible with sermon notes hanging out all over. I got my first Bible from the blue chip stamp store & used it from 7-16, my beloved Thompson Chain from my mama when I graduated high school at 17-mid 60’s & a Bible my gramma gave me (free for her donations to ORU) along with some large prints because my eyes gave me fits for a period of time. Faith, I’m feeling lead to pull my Bibles together for my children…they’ll still have the originals but I am wondering.. Will it be worth it? My heart says tie a bow on the 60 years of Bible notes…
Love your Bible!!! So beautiful!!! When you said you loved Ruth, I just wanted to share how a pastor once went through Ruth that has forever changed the way I read it. Instead of looking at the book from Ruth's perspective, read it from Naomi's perspective. How she had lost her husband and sons and was broken and crushed, but God used Ruth to bless Naomi after all she had lost. ❤ It always helps me to remember how God uses the people in our lives to show us His love. I just thought I would share this for anyone who hadn't tried this before.
I love your Bible flip-throughs! They always make me wish I had kept ALL my notes, over the past 24 years, in one place like this. And I'm all about envelopes in my Bibles as well. Thanks for sharing. Love the rebind!
If you are having difficulty with Leviticus, Jacob Milgrom wrote a very large 3 volume commentary as part of the Yale Anchor Bible. Studying and writing about Leviticus was his whole life's work.
Speaking of teenie tiny notes…I discovered the prismacolor premier assorted markers…black barrels with metal clips…the smallest pen tip in this set is the 005….a very thin hair strand tiny tip!!! I love it and it doesn’t bleed through none of them do! Also comes with chisel tip and a brush tip and then the two regular tip in 05 and the 005, the very smallest tip!! I highly recommend!!! Happy note taking!! Also yesterday I was studying as usual in McDonald’s and a teenage girl came up to me and said “is that your Bible?! I like it! It’s like custom!!” I felt so happy that someone noticed my Bible!! One step closer to having someone who notices my Bible and has time to sit with me while I chat with her/him about our Jesus!!!! Hallelujah!!
You definitely have inspired me to look further into God's word in a week I've been devouring the word of God in more depth then I ever have before. Following along with your Bible studies, your shorts I've tabbed some of the scriptures for myself to take me where I need to go when I'm feeling a certain way. My bible now has notes from me diving in. And next week I plan on getting some commentaries, I've just purchased your Bible boot camp and reading plan this week investing in the word of God. So the stuff you're talking about in hope you're helping people with the word you've definitely changed the way I see the Bible.
My husband loved how you got your Bible rebound....and I got exciting news tell you...I'm pregnant faith...and pregnancy center christain base place I showing ladies my journaling bible they fell in love...
I’ve started adding pages to my journaling bible by cutting tomoe river paper down to the size of my bible pages, running the edge along a coccoina glue stick (the best!) and sticking the glued edge in the gutter. I add pages where needed.
honestly your videos let me see its ok to add things in for notes and I can write in my bible. I was raised to not write in bible or any book, but I've realized i need my notes right there as i read. so this has helped me a lot with that.
I always love seeing people be passionate about their religion. I'm not Christian myself, but I certainly plan on reading many versions of the bible in the future, because I want to gain a deeper understanding of the religion.
I admire the amount of love and work you have invested in this. This is absolutely not my style.. This approach would overwhelm me. My style is tiny, precise printing in the wide margins. Whatever helps us learn and apply God’s Word is what we need
Hi Faith !!! I just discovered your channel a few months ago, when I decided to begin Bible journaling. I am Orthodox Christian, so the veneration of icons are very important. I just found print outs of icons of Jesus during Good Friday/Easter and taped them into my Beautiful Word NIV Bible. I was inspired by you to do this !!! Thank you so much !!
I loved getting inspiration and motivated with your flip thru. I journal in a separate notebook, where I also have an envelope, with a bit of washi, and post it notes. I love looking over my notes and I do highlight in my bible which also makes me happy that I can easily look over scripture that stood out to meet. I kept my system super simple with three highlighters I keep with my Bible and a black pen.
I'm with you on finding chiasms! Once you see them & understand the structure, the passage makes more sense. Plus, I like to think of them as a poetic prose structure.
I love all your videos. Thank you so much for sharing all of these beautiful ideas.... I just recently purchased my first interleaved Bible and I'm excited to start writing in it and taking notes you have gave me so much inspiration to finally pick up my Bible and actually read it and learn who God really is and I thank you so much for that Faith.... Future Bible Nerd Here I Come ❤❤❤ lol now the only challenge for me will be writing small lol..... Because I normally write really big but I'm up for the challenge 😊
Wow so pretty !! I truly love that bible full of notes look and yet I struggle so much to get into doing notes that are meaningful.. I would love to just copy all of yours and yet, then its not really mine.. .. I struggle so much to just get beyond just reading the bible and actually taking notes.. I just draw a blank .. I pray someday I can get to it
Yes! Glad I'm not the only one. This is exactly how I feel! I'd love to have all of her notes. I never know what I should write. I'll continue to pray about it. Will say a prayer for you as well
Your Bible doesn't need to look pretty or aesthetic. Notes can be what God is speaking to you thru that chapter/verse/passage, or a summary. But before reading, pray that God will speak to you 🤗
Watching your videos have become a nightly routine for me. You give hope that one day my bible can look like your. Thank you for everything can't wait to continue learning 🙏
Never thought of adding notes from the books I'm reading into my bible! Great idea! I also really like the long flaps in Psalms! I'll have to try that in my bible!
I discovered your channel this weekend. This is so helpful and inspiring. I have notes from a study with a group of friends that I wanted to use when studying with other friends. I misplaced the binder with those notes. I have since found the notes and now want to include them actually in my Bible. You’ve shown me how and I’m excited to get started. 😊
I absolutely LOVED this flip-through! You shared some great ideas about adding tabs, flippy notes and flaps, etc. Can't wait to start doing this in my Bible! Also, the sound of your turning pages, the crinkling, is like music to my ears! :) Awesome video, Faith! Love from Australia!
I love all the ides. FYI, I bought Faith’s Cliff Notes and use them for the cover of each book of the Bible for my digital Bible I created for my own use. I am totally digital, but I can use all these ideas because of all the amazing people who create digital stickers, washi tape, etc.
Hey Faith... I really love your channel. It has helped me to really dig deep into the Bible keeping my fears aside. Like its given me a sense of freedom to explore God and His word... Keep going gurl😍❤️❤️❤️
These are some of my favorite videos. Very inspiring to want to just open my bible. I hope you do a new one each year once you've finished reading through, especially as you come up with new ideas on taking notes!
Cool! Reminds me of a junk journal. My first journaling bible i ever got is kinda looking like yours but not quite as much yet lol. I would have never thought to add so many extra little flaps and things though, which is weird because i love junk journals and have made a few and never thought of blending the two lol!
I love all the note inspiration. I just bought myself crayola watercolor pencils from amazon. You should get those for bible notes. Its much less water than water brush pens. There is a video showing all three ways of using the watercolor pencils.
I love this!! I am starting this process (sorta) in my own Bible. It keeps me in the Word to the point I don't want to do anything else but be in the Word. If ever you are faced with having a fire, PLEASE have your BIble in a place you can easily grab it I would CRY if you lost it. Your family and your Bible, everything else can go..
Faith, I 100% loved this video. I am an avid note-taker! All those tip-ins really appealed to me. I need to go through my scrap stash and make an envelope and then cut up some journaling cards. I am using my She Reads Truth bible this year. Due to the volume of notes inside (in the margins and tons of sticky notes), the Bible has already grown to twice its size. I am a big commentary reader and have a few of the commentaries you mention in the video. It is encouraging to think about adding taped scrap paper pages together so that I can expand my notes because I run out of room pretty quickly. Thanks for such a great video!
I love Ruth as well! In the middle of my marriage falling apart and losing a kidney, I completely emotionally crashed. I was so glad I adopted a pup in the middle of all that - I named him Boaz!
I love it when you show us inside your Bible!! It's so inspiring!!! I've started adding pages into my bible. My ambition is to eventually need to get my Bible rebound! And now I know where to go when that time comes! Thank you!!!
Hi Faith!! Thanks for this flip through. Do you have a video just on chiasms? I wish you could do a multi volume series on specific and numerous chiasms-all possible ones :). I think it’ll be a great series!!
FAITH!!! 😍 Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this! It's been a while since I've shared anything on my Scripture Crafts Pinterest board but this is BY FAR the BEST Scripture Crafts video I've ever seen! I love all of your tabs and extra scrapbook pages and windows and the "flippy-flappy" notes! 😊 I love that they're taped in so if you make a mistake you can replace it, plus it makes the Bible so colorful and pretty! I also love that you covered your mistake with sticker paper. That is totally something I would do! I recently added the NKJV Interleaved Bible to my wishlist. I can wait to get one!!! 💖💖💖 PS Your rat sticker is SUPER CUTE! 🐀 I have pet rats and I like just about anything with a rat on it!
Hello and thank you for all you do for us. I have been inspired beyond words. My bible is also in need of repair. How do I get in touch of the people who repaired yours. Thank you so much again. ❤️🙏
I just love all your creativity in your Bible studying! You have inspired me so much and studying the word has become exceptionally more exciting for me. I am loving keeping it all in my Bible and using my creative ideas to do it. Question: how do you store all your crafting supplies for Bible study? Do you have a designated cupboard or shelf? Just curious.
I do tabs like yours but on topics since I live in a very highly populated by Mormons state, it helps when I have tabs for verses and explanations on the verse in my Bible helps so much.
Hi, I just love your channel and your podcast on Spotify. (I do follow you on TH-cam and Spotify) You have been a big inspiration for me and I just love you your amazing on this channel I fell like it’s a small little Christian family 💗! Your Bible is so aesthetic yet has really good notes, I am not artistic though. 😢 I will really try though because of your inspiration, thank you!!!
God has used you for me . I don't know who you are, but God made me to know through your TH-cam channel how this Bible can become my best friend. I am so grateful for this realization. And I want to say thank you to the channel for the hard work and effort you have made. If you see a case like me, you receive a great gift from God and God is using you perfectly well. So please don't get tired and keep giving strength~~♡♡♡ 😊. I wish Korean Bibles also make pretty as American Bibles. Unfortunately not really😅. But God's words are so sweet and amazing. Thats enough for me right???😊
I love this idea of making your Bible be your BIG Biible NOTEBOOK! That is awesome!! I just bought myself a new bible this year and I am going to TOTALLY do this and make this bibliothek thing MY BIG OL BIBLE. And I loved the envelope in the back that is an awesome idea. I came from an upbringing of "NO you shouldn't write in your bible cause it's disrespecting God's word!!" So yes this I totally am doing from now on!
Oh my GOSH. I am new to your channel, and I’m wondering if you ever did make the “cliff notes” for each book of the bible that you mentioned you were working on???! I NEED IT!!!!!! 😮
Thank you so much for these ideas! My bible is super small and always use sticky notes! I’ve actually been looking for the Bible you have because I love the idea of having blank pages to dig deeper in my note taking! If you could post a link to a bible similar to that I would very much appreciate it! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for saying yes to the the Lord through this ministry He’s given to you! God bless you!
I'm a new follower & I am loving this!! You've helped me to dig deeper into my devotionals & Bible study. If you could do a video on certain books that are a must have for a beginner what ones would you recommend? I try my best to pause & screenshot certain parts to look to copy notes from your Bible but it's hard to catch it where it's not all blurry or catch your hand 😅
Ever thought to take your notes in a notepad and then enter them in your Bible later. That way you have more control in how fast and the size of your writing 24:25 may I suggest adding a small Velcro tab for closure on the envelope… or what is it that you use?
This was so fun to watch and gave me some great ideas! I’m not at all new to the bible or to journaling ABOUT the bible, but I’m new to attempting journaling IN my bible. Question- when you’re journaling about a passage that is in the bible multiple times (like the gospels were some stories are repeated 4x), or even just a theme that applies to multiple sections, do you copy the same notes into all 4 books, or just where you are reading at the time? Or write cross references? I can’t decide how I want to organize those.
Thanks for asking this question, it's something I've been thinking about whilst comparing specific passages in the gospels. Sometimes I don't see the point on having the same thing written out multiple times, but also will I actually flip back to the cross-references in years to come...? X
I use the smaller ESV journalling Bible and totally agree on smaller notes! I started with a 01 Micron & some old Derwent watercolor pencils (bad watercolor but perfect for highlighting), and before long I switched to 005 Microns because I needed more space 😂. I also was in a year long study of 1 Thessalonians and had to add a tomoe river page because the 2" side wasn't enough space lol. I haven't started using tipins and such because as my church Bible I don't want to bulk it up, but am about to start doing it in one of my others.
I think the word you may have been searching for to describe what you have at the beginning of each book is “summary”- or that is the word that makes sense to me. I’m a little over half way done with writing a summary for the fr t of each book to tip in at beginning of each one (on unique vintage or antique looking paper you can buy on Amazon, 8.5x11) I’ve made these a standard size and include the basics you mentioned…who wrote it, when, why, theme(s), structure if relevant, etc…..I think the summaries are an important first step in understanding what we read. I also believe this reinforces the historical reality of the Bible’s content. It’s not just a book of stories…….I’m careful not to use the word story when referring to a Bible passage for this reason. It’s all reality- Psalm 119:18, Hebrews 11:6, I Corinthians 2:12-14. Study on! 😊
Unrelated, but did you learn how to write in cursive in school? People? I learned to write in cursive in third grade in my American International School (in Europe). But after coming back to live in Asia, teachers complained and I stopped writing in cursive, so I am can but not fast as I used to be. I heard cursive writing is not taught any more in schools in America, just asking! Excited to start Bible journaling :)
I’m in the early stages in teaching my 12 year old son how to write and read script/cursive. It is important as the United States Constitution is written in script/cursive.
Hey Faith. I LOVE your channel.....but today tried a thousand times to take a picture of the OT chart you showed at the beginning of the video, but your hand is in the way!!! Could you scan it in amd put it up on your website or link it below? Thanks!!!!
Faith, love your videos. Do you have a video on how you add your extra pages into your Bible? Also how do you use your washi tape, how are you making flaps, how you create your taps, where are you getting all this scrap paper or stickers from?
Yes! Check out this playlist, there are multiple videos where I show it in this playlist, but especially the video: "How to Bible journal without a Journaling Bible" with the thumbnail that says "Need Space?"
@@HowtoFaithALife thanks for your quick response! I will watch that video next. You do such a wonderful job explaining your process. It has truly invigorated my personal study time.
Hey friends! At 4:50 I mention that I am working on page summaries of the books of the Bible- well those are now done! Check them out here: howtofaithalife.samcart.com/products/cliffnotes Skip to 21:30 to see the one thing I think every Bible journal needs! Also, I apologize for the loud page-flipping sounds! Next time, we will do better ;)
I like the sound of paper flipping. That was great to see your Bible. I definitely need to add a pocket to the back of mine. For notes, I use bullet journaling paper glued to scrapbook paper then I washi tape it in my Bible.
Never apologize for unintentional asmr. Your Bible is so inspiring! Are u going to leave it in your will? Or is it too personal. I would love to inherit something like this!
I’m studying the parables with a friend and I’m studying Roman’s with a Bible study group over text and doing John my self and gonna move into 1-3 John
Question: Other than writing smaller in places, is there anything you wish you had done DIFFERENTLY in your Bible journaling/notes? I am starting a new Bible journaling (well, fairly new... I'm on my second book of notes). Because the pages are actually much thinner than my last BIble, I'm not really taping any notes or doing a lot of writing on the pages themselves. I'm gluing a page in between each page to make it interleaved, and putting everything on there. It's making those pages crowded so I'll quickly have to come up with some adjustments. HOWEVER, I like having the Bible pages easy to read, etc. (My last BIble was very chaotic and at times hard to read)
I have the same one as Faith's and it weighs a ton before you even get into note taking/bible journalling/study etc. My Bible weighs 2.75kgs currently. If they did bigger print it would mean more pages... yikes, doesn't bear thinking about when you carry it about LOL.
I wanted it with much bigger print. I ended up going with a NASB with super giant print and I will glue a piece of a paper in between each page. (Not all at once - I'll add it as I'm studying)
Looks a lot like my bible. LOL! Someone stole it one day while I got up to refill my soda. It's not the first bible I've had stolen, won't be the last. I've always thought of it as a bit of a compliment. Anyway, I just got a new bible for hanukah and am having a blast journaling in it.
Thank you very much for always sharing these ideas to study the Bible. Just wanted to let you know that through these videos God has used you to get me excited about studying His wonderful word. I’m praying for you and your family.
Praise the Lord! It really is all about that!

I loved your note about Sarah!
HOW do you incert extra notes? And where can you send it to get rebound??
Hi Faith!! Thanks for this flip through. Do you have a video just on chiasms? I wish you could do a multi volume series on specific and numerous chiasms-all possible ones :). I think it’ll be a great series!!
I would love that, too! I’m trying to figure these out, so would love to see them written out, so could learn & study them myself.
Love that flapping page. Something I can immitate🎉🎉🎉
Can you do an updated detailed Bible flip through?!
Flat out fun!! Thank you
Inspiring thank you God bless you and your family.
I love that they're taped in so if you make a mistake you can replace it, plus it makes the Bible so colorful and pretty!
I also love that you covered your mistake with sticker paper. That is totally something I would do!
I recently added the NKJV Interleaved Bible to my wishlist. I can wait to get one!!!
💖💖💖
PS
Your rat sticker is SUPER CUTE! 🐀
I have pet rats and I like just about anything with a rat on it!
I will really try though because of your inspiration, thank you!!!
Personally I like the mountains you drew in psalms! Perfect for the psalms of ascent
OH MY GOOOSHHHHH I HAVE A LEFT TOE THUMB TO SIS!!!!! 😅
Faith, could you do a video on Chaisms?
I love your journaling Bible! I don’t journal in my Bible… I have tons of journals… I have been looking for ways to organize my journals to my Bible…
Beautiful bible. Well used
Oh my GOSH. I am new to your channel, and I’m wondering if you ever did make the “cliff notes” for each book of the bible that you mentioned you were working on???! I NEED IT!!!!!! 😮
Yes I have you can check them out here: howtofaithalife.samcart.com/products/cliffnotes
Your Bible is beautiful ❤ 0:56
Can you do a video on how to find chiasms in the Bible?
I absolutely love your Bible! and of course your videos...🙏
That way you have more control in how fast and the size of your writing
24:25 may I suggest adding a small Velcro tab for closure on the envelope… or what is it that you use?
I would love to get a lot of the stuff you who, but cannot afford them. Thanks for the suggestions.
Added my first blank page into my Bible this morning while studying Jeremiah 25:8-14
PLEASE do a video on how you make that “flippy-flop” thing in 24:37! That’s sooooo stinking COOL!🤯
Thank you so much I love this types of videos so encouraging ❤️🔥🥰🔥🔥🙏🏽🙌🏽
Bea-u-ti-ful!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Study on! 😊
Maybe you can color copy the inside front cover on sticky paper and put it in your new binding
So intimate ❤ thank you for sharing!
Thanks!!!!
Agreed!! I would love a pic of that too!
image1.slideserve.com/2192240/slide1-n.jpg Try this, hopefully it will take you to it.
Love all the ideas❣️
Maybe find the Balance tipping-point between taking teensy notes now, vs being able to see them to teach your grandbabies later....
Hey friends! At 4:50 I mention that I am working on page summaries of the books of the Bible- well those are now done! Check them out here: howtofaithalife.samcart.com/products/cliffnotes
Skip to 21:30 to see the one thing I think every Bible journal needs!
Also, I apologize for the loud page-flipping sounds! Next time, we will do better ;)
I like the page flipping sounds.
I actually love the sounds of paper
I like the sound of paper flipping. That was great to see your Bible. I definitely need to add a pocket to the back of mine. For notes, I use bullet journaling paper glued to scrapbook paper then I washi tape it in my Bible.
Never apologize for unintentional asmr. Your Bible is so inspiring! Are u going to leave it in your will? Or is it too personal. I would love to inherit something like this!
I like the sound, it's soothing to me😊
Love this video! Now we’re is my bible….
Awesome new video!
Hi, love your videos! Can you please tell me what video will help me with contrasts Thank you ❤
Goodness gracious, do I leave your videos inspired!! Lol
I’m studying the parables with a friend and I’m studying Roman’s with a Bible study group over text and doing John my self and gonna move into 1-3 John
Could you do a video on chiasmus??
This is so inspiring Faith. 🙂
Im glad that works for you but that would make me very anxious
What type of glue do you use so your pages don’t stick together? Regular Elmer’s? I know you use scotch tape and washi tape too.
Elmers, glue sticks and then the Tomball glue I use at the end!
The added page with “Moses Horns” caught my eye. Where did you get that information? I would love to add it to my Bible.
NKJV Cultural Background Study Bible
I wish they would reprint the ESV in this format...with SLIGHTLY bigger print.
I have the same one as Faith's and it weighs a ton before you even get into note taking/bible journalling/study etc. My Bible weighs 2.75kgs currently. If they did bigger print it would mean more pages... yikes, doesn't bear thinking about when you carry it about LOL.
@@bina-iow5441 I did buy the NKJV of this one, and it IS big!!! You are right!
I wanted it with much bigger print. I ended up going with a NASB with super giant print and I will glue a piece of a paper in between each page. (Not all at once - I'll add it as I'm studying)
@@BiblicallyNoted I have been looking for thinner papers...so If I find a good one, I will pop the info in here.
