I love your Bible flip-throughs! They always make me wish I had kept ALL my notes, over the past 24 years, in one place like this. And I'm all about envelopes in my Bibles as well. Thanks for sharing. Love the rebind!
Thank you very much for always sharing these ideas to study the Bible. Just wanted to let you know that through these videos God has used you to get me excited about studying His wonderful word. I’m praying for you and your family.
Praise the Lord! It really is all about that!

I’m going to be 70 this year & I’ve always written all over my Bible with sermon notes hanging out all over. I got my first Bible from the blue chip stamp store & used it from 7-16, my beloved Thompson Chain from my mama when I graduated high school at 17-mid 60’s & a Bible my gramma gave me (free for her donations to ORU) along with some large prints because my eyes gave me fits for a period of time.
Faith, I’m feeling lead to pull my Bibles together for my children…they’ll still have the originals but I am wondering.. Will it be worth it? My heart says tie a bow on the 60 years of Bible notes…
I admire the amount of love and work you have invested in this. This is absolutely not my style.. This approach would overwhelm me. My style is tiny, precise printing in the wide margins. Whatever helps us learn and apply God’s Word is what we need
Never heard of a chiasm until today! Thanks Faith for this knowledge... have you made a video on chiasms? :)
I would like to know that as well. The term is new to me. Off to Mr. Google to do some research!
Yes, I also would love a video on this. I've never heard of that term..
Same. I googled but still kinda confused would love a video to explain better.
Hey friends! At 4:50 I mention that I am working on page summaries of the books of the Bible- well those are now done! Check them out here: howtofaithalife.samcart.com/products/cliffnotes
Skip to 21:30 to see the one thing I think every Bible journal needs!
Also, I apologize for the loud page-flipping sounds! Next time, we will do better ;)
I like the page flipping sounds.
I actually love the sounds of paper
I like the sound of paper flipping. That was great to see your Bible. I definitely need to add a pocket to the back of mine. For notes, I use bullet journaling paper glued to scrapbook paper then I washi tape it in my Bible.
Never apologize for unintentional asmr. Your Bible is so inspiring! Are u going to leave it in your will? Or is it too personal. I would love to inherit something like this!
I like the sound, it's soothing to me😊
I love all your videos. Thank you so much for sharing all of these beautiful ideas.... I just recently purchased my first interleaved Bible and I'm excited to start writing in it and taking notes you have gave me so much inspiration to finally pick up my Bible and actually read it and learn who God really is and I thank you so much for that Faith.... Future Bible Nerd Here I Come ❤❤❤ lol now the only challenge for me will be writing small lol..... Because I normally write really big but I'm up for the challenge 😊
Hi Faith !!! I just discovered your channel a few months ago, when I decided to begin Bible journaling. I am Orthodox Christian, so the veneration of icons are very important. I just found print outs of icons of Jesus during Good Friday/Easter and taped them into my Beautiful Word NIV Bible. I was inspired by you to do this !!! Thank you so much !!
fellow Orthodox … I too am feeling so inspired by Faith’s deep study examples ☦️
If you are having difficulty with Leviticus, Jacob Milgrom wrote a very large 3 volume commentary as part of the Yale Anchor Bible. Studying and writing about Leviticus was his whole life's work.
Love that new cover. I actually need this done for one of my oldest and most used Bibles as well.
Such a beautiful treasure. I am in tears literally. Thanks for sharing.
This inspired me a lot. I aspire to create a bible journal like this 😊
I’m so glad I could be an encouragement! Praise the Lord!
Love your Bible!!! So beautiful!!! When you said you loved Ruth, I just wanted to share how a pastor once went through Ruth that has forever changed the way I read it. Instead of looking at the book from Ruth's perspective, read it from Naomi's perspective. How she had lost her husband and sons and was broken and crushed, but God used Ruth to bless Naomi after all she had lost. ❤ It always helps me to remember how God uses the people in our lives to show us His love. I just thought I would share this for anyone who hadn't tried this before.
Watching your videos have become a nightly routine for me. You give hope that one day my bible can look like your. Thank you for everything can't wait to continue learning 🙏
Your Bible is beautiful ❤ 0:56
I feel like you need to start a new one because your children are going to fight over who gets your Bible when you’re gone. One for each child.
I do tabs like yours but on topics since I live in a very highly populated by Mormons state, it helps when I have tabs for verses and explanations on the verse in my Bible helps so much.
Faith, I 100% loved this video. I am an avid note-taker! All those tip-ins really appealed to me. I need to go through my scrap stash and make an envelope and then cut up some journaling cards. I am using my She Reads Truth bible this year. Due to the volume of notes inside (in the margins and tons of sticky notes), the Bible has already grown to twice its size. I am a big commentary reader and have a few of the commentaries you mention in the video. It is encouraging to think about adding taped scrap paper pages together so that I can expand my notes because I run out of room pretty quickly. Thanks for such a great video!
I love this!! I am starting this process (sorta) in my own Bible. It keeps me in the Word to the point I don't want to do anything else but be in the Word. If ever you are faced with having a fire, PLEASE have your BIble in a place you can easily grab it I would CRY if you lost it. Your family and your Bible, everything else can go..
My husband loved how you got your Bible rebound....and I got exciting news tell you...I'm pregnant faith...and pregnancy center christain base place I showing ladies my journaling bible they fell in love...
Hope your bundle of joy is here ❤
I love your bible and the rebind is lovely. Thanks for sharing your flip through
You are so welcome!
You definitely have inspired me to look further into God's word in a week I've been devouring the word of God in more depth then I ever have before. Following along with your Bible studies, your shorts I've tabbed some of the scriptures for myself to take me where I need to go when I'm feeling a certain way. My bible now has notes from me diving in. And next week I plan on getting some commentaries, I've just purchased your Bible boot camp and reading plan this week investing in the word of God. So the stuff you're talking about in hope you're helping people with the word you've definitely changed the way I see the Bible.
Can you do a video on these Chaisms? That’s cool
I’m so excited for your book of Bible cliff notes. I will definitely be purchasing ❤
I’ve started adding pages to my journaling bible by cutting tomoe river paper down to the size of my bible pages, running the edge along a coccoina glue stick (the best!) and sticking the glued edge in the gutter. I add pages where needed.
I'm with you on finding chiasms! Once you see them & understand the structure, the passage makes more sense. Plus, I like to think of them as a poetic prose structure.
I’m trying to learn these now! Thanks for writing the actual word out, I was trying to figure it what she said. ❤️
This was so fun to watch and gave me some great ideas! I’m not at all new to the bible or to journaling ABOUT the bible, but I’m new to attempting journaling IN my bible. Question- when you’re journaling about a passage that is in the bible multiple times (like the gospels were some stories are repeated 4x), or even just a theme that applies to multiple sections, do you copy the same notes into all 4 books, or just where you are reading at the time? Or write cross references? I can’t decide how I want to organize those.
Thanks for asking this question, it's something I've been thinking about whilst comparing specific passages in the gospels. Sometimes I don't see the point on having the same thing written out multiple times, but also will I actually flip back to the cross-references in years to come...? X
Im glad that works for you but that would make me very anxious
Wow so pretty !! I truly love that bible full of notes look and yet I struggle so much to get into doing notes that are meaningful.. I would love to just copy all of yours and yet, then its not really mine.. .. I struggle so much to just get beyond just reading the bible and actually taking notes.. I just draw a blank .. I pray someday I can get to it
Yes! Glad I'm not the only one. This is exactly how I feel! I'd love to have all of her notes. I never know what I should write. I'll continue to pray about it. Will say a prayer for you as well
Your Bible doesn't need to look pretty or aesthetic. Notes can be what God is speaking to you thru that chapter/verse/passage, or a summary. But before reading, pray that God will speak to you 🤗
Maybe you can color copy the inside front cover on sticky paper and put it in your new binding
Faith, could you do a video on Chaisms?
Thank you so much I love this types of videos so encouraging ❤️🔥🥰🔥🔥🙏🏽🙌🏽
I'm a new follower & I am loving this!! You've helped me to dig deeper into my devotionals & Bible study. If you could do a video on certain books that are a must have for a beginner what ones would you recommend? I try my best to pause & screenshot certain parts to look to copy notes from your Bible but it's hard to catch it where it's not all blurry or catch your hand 😅
Hiii, you probably won’t see this note, but why don’t you sell Bibles that are created like urs? Including allllll of your fun notes & flip pages?!!!!!!
Hello and thank you for all you do for us.
I have been inspired beyond words.
My bible is also in need of repair. How do I get in touch of the people who repaired yours. Thank you so much again. ❤️🙏
Flat out fun!! Thank you
Hey Faith... I really love your channel. It has helped me to really dig deep into the Bible keeping my fears aside. Like its given me a sense of freedom to explore God and His word... Keep going gurl😍❤️❤️❤️
Love all the ideas❣️
Speaking of teenie tiny notes…I discovered the prismacolor premier assorted markers…black barrels with metal clips…the smallest pen tip in this set is the 005….a very thin hair strand tiny tip!!! I love it and it doesn’t bleed through none of them do! Also comes with chisel tip and a brush tip and then the two regular tip in 05 and the 005, the very smallest tip!! I highly recommend!!! Happy note taking!! Also yesterday I was studying as usual in McDonald’s and a teenage girl came up to me and said “is that your Bible?! I like it! It’s like custom!!” I felt so happy that someone noticed my Bible!! One step closer to having someone who notices my Bible and has time to sit with me while I chat with her/him about our Jesus!!!! Hallelujah!!
I loved getting inspiration and motivated with your flip thru. I journal in a separate notebook, where I also have an envelope, with a bit of washi, and post it notes. I love looking over my notes and I do highlight in my bible which also makes me happy that I can easily look over scripture that stood out to meet. I kept my system super simple with three highlighters I keep with my Bible and a black pen.
Question: Other than writing smaller in places, is there anything you wish you had done DIFFERENTLY in your Bible journaling/notes?
I am starting a new Bible journaling (well, fairly new... I'm on my second book of notes). Because the pages are actually much thinner than my last BIble, I'm not really taping any notes or doing a lot of writing on the pages themselves. I'm gluing a page in between each page to make it interleaved, and putting everything on there. It's making those pages crowded so I'll quickly have to come up with some adjustments. HOWEVER, I like having the Bible pages easy to read, etc. (My last BIble was very chaotic and at times hard to read)
Hey Faith. I LOVE your channel.....but today tried a thousand times to take a picture of the OT chart you showed at the beginning of the video, but your hand is in the way!!! Could you scan it in amd put it up on your website or link it below? Thanks!!!!
Agreed!! I would love a pic of that too!
image1.slideserve.com/2192240/slide1-n.jpg Try this, hopefully it will take you to it.
Looks a lot like my bible. LOL! Someone stole it one day while I got up to refill my soda. It's not the first bible I've had stolen, won't be the last. I've always thought of it as a bit of a compliment. Anyway, I just got a new bible for hanukah and am having a blast journaling in it.
Unrelated, but did you learn how to write in cursive in school? People? I learned to write in cursive in third grade in my American International School (in Europe). But after coming back to live in Asia, teachers complained and I stopped writing in cursive, so I am can but not fast as I used to be. I heard cursive writing is not taught any more in schools in America, just asking!
Excited to start Bible journaling :)
I’m in the early stages in teaching my 12 year old son how to write and read script/cursive. It is important as the United States Constitution is written in script/cursive.
I’m studying the parables with a friend and I’m studying Roman’s with a Bible study group over text and doing John my self and gonna move into 1-3 John
Never thought of adding notes from the books I'm reading into my bible! Great idea! I also really like the long flaps in Psalms! I'll have to try that in my bible!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
I wish they would reprint the ESV in this format...with SLIGHTLY bigger print.
I have the same one as Faith's and it weighs a ton before you even get into note taking/bible journalling/study etc. My Bible weighs 2.75kgs currently. If they did bigger print it would mean more pages... yikes, doesn't bear thinking about when you carry it about LOL.
@@bina-iow5441 I did buy the NKJV of this one, and it IS big!!! You are right!
I wanted it with much bigger print. I ended up going with a NASB with super giant print and I will glue a piece of a paper in between each page. (Not all at once - I'll add it as I'm studying)
@@BiblicallyNoted I have been looking for thinner papers...so If I find a good one, I will pop the info in here.
Thank you for sharing this. I would very much appreciate prayers. I have been having such a hard time getting in my Bible and even praying.. For years now it feels like pulling teeth to even just read God's Word and most of the time I give in to the temptation of not reading my Bible. I feel a lot of guilt which has been seeping into my relationship with God and my prayer life. Anyways, I'm not sure that anyone will see this but if anyone does, please keep me in your prayers
@becki it is a good thing we are not saved by our performance. If this is the desire of your heart, God will give it to you! He for sure wants you to know him more and spend more time with him. You can do it!
@Becki I would be honored to pray for you.
I would love to get a lot of the stuff you who, but cannot afford them. Thanks for the suggestions.
Could you do a video on chiasmus??
Awesome new video!
Can you do a video on how to find chiasms in the Bible?
I use my hair straightener to iron the pages 😂 just lower the temp
I am currently in Job for my chronological read through the bible plan and saw you note "83% of Job is not normative"... what does that mean?
What type of glue do you use so your pages don’t stick together? Regular Elmer’s? I know you use scotch tape and washi tape too.
Elmers, glue sticks and then the Tomball glue I use at the end!
Faith, love your videos. Do you have a video on how you add your extra pages into your Bible? Also how do you use your washi tape, how are you making flaps, how you create your taps, where are you getting all this scrap paper or stickers from?
Yes! Check out this playlist, there are multiple videos where I show it in this playlist, but especially the video: "How to Bible journal without a Journaling Bible" with the thumbnail that says "Need Space?"
@@HowtoFaithALife thanks for your quick response! I will watch that video next. You do such a wonderful job explaining your process. It has truly invigorated my personal study time.
Would love to see the evidence of Jesus is God from OT!
There are many books that dissect the OT and discuss all of the Messianic Prophesies. So, beautiful! I took a year long Bible study with my pastor (one year and he only covered the first four books of the Bible!).
Would love to do a study about that as well.
Cool! Reminds me of a junk journal. My first journaling bible i ever got is kinda looking like yours but not quite as much yet lol. I would have never thought to add so many extra little flaps and things though, which is weird because i love junk journals and have made a few and never thought of blending the two lol!
Absolutely loved this!!
Added my first blank page into my Bible this morning while studying Jeremiah 25:8-14
Hi Faith!! Thanks for this flip through. Do you have a video just on chiasms? I wish you could do a multi volume series on specific and numerous chiasms-all possible ones :). I think it’ll be a great series!!
I would love that, too! I’m trying to figure these out, so would love to see them written out, so could learn & study them myself.
I probably would’ve took a picture and inserted it. Idk how well it would serve though 😅
honestly your videos let me see its ok to add things in for notes and I can write in my bible. I was raised to not write in bible or any book, but I've realized i need my notes right there as i read. so this has helped me a lot with that.
I absolutely LOVED this flip-through! You shared some great ideas about adding tabs, flippy notes and flaps, etc. Can't wait to start doing this in my Bible! Also, the sound of your turning pages, the crinkling, is like music to my ears! :)
Awesome video, Faith!
Love from Australia!
I discovered your channel this weekend. This is so helpful and inspiring. I have notes from a study with a group of friends that I wanted to use when studying with other friends. I misplaced the binder with those notes. I have since found the notes and now want to include them actually in my Bible. You’ve shown me how and I’m excited to get started. 😊
I love Ruth as well! In the middle of my marriage falling apart and losing a kidney, I completely emotionally crashed. I was so glad I adopted a pup in the middle of all that - I named him Boaz!
Thanks for letting us in the process of rebinding your bible, so much fun! And the flip through are amazing! 🎉
I am struggling to stay in just one bible like to have a primary one for long periods of time advice I need advice lol 🤣
Hi Faith, I’m new to your channel and am inspired by your love for God’s word! I noticed the cliff note pages of the She Reads Truth Bible that you had put in. Is your Bible CSB or how do you feel about the She Reads Truth bibles as a whole? I have two of them and would love to use one of them to start doing this.
hey faith do u
you use a bible journal at all? like a seperate notebook? or is your bible your bible notebook?
Oh no so you can't get the nerd bible without ordering it but I saw the she reads bible I like it but not for 50
Lol I’m currently reading a One Year Bible, in Leviticus right now and I was wondering what your notes would look like 😂
Hi Faith! Really enjoying how you use your Bible❤️ Did you add the blank pages when it was rebound, or was it published with every other page for notes?? I’m learning so much, keep on Bible Nerding‼️
It was published that way! It’s called an interleaved journaling Bible!
Wow!! Where have I been? Thank you❤️
How do you deal with verse that go against another verse? You have done some impressive note taking.
Personally I like the mountains you drew in psalms! Perfect for the psalms of ascent
Do a flip through on Revelation. That is one of my favorite books to study. Daniel is my second favorite book!!!
Hi Faith, my Bible has fallen apart into like 9 pieces because the binding came apart. I really liked your new rebounded Bible. Can you share with me where you sent it please??? When my Dad past away the only possession that I desired was his Bible. He highlighted in yellow and I highlighted in pink marker. But it is almost unusable now. It needs some TLC by an expert hands-on person that can put my Bible back together. I led my Dad to the Lord and he grew in his Christian walk and read his Bible every day. I have been reading his Bible now every day for 10 years. Please share the company that repaired your Bible???? Please ❤️💕🇺🇸🙏🙌👍😀✝️ Thank you Faith💖

Chasm ??? What - I need input. I understand the word and probably how it’s applied but show me what it looks like in written form.
How do you take notes and study. Can you please show us. I'm learning
Maybe find the Balance tipping-point between taking teensy notes now, vs being able to see them to teach your grandbabies later....
You should read Ezekiel 8;3-18 To Me It is about Going Up To Come Back Down.
Love this video! Now we’re is my bible….
How do you not feel burnt out in Bible studies? While taking notes in your Bible?
Thank you, Faith, for sharing these beautiful notes with us. Can you tell me how to get a copy of the Old Testament chart you have? I googled but I don't seem to find it. Thank you. :)
image1.slideserve.com/2192240/slide1-n.jpg This link should take you to it.
FAITH!!! 😍 Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this!
It's been a while since I've shared anything on my Scripture Crafts Pinterest board but this is BY FAR the BEST Scripture Crafts video I've ever seen!
I love all of your tabs and extra scrapbook pages and windows and the "flippy-flappy" notes! 😊
I love that they're taped in so if you make a mistake you can replace it, plus it makes the Bible so colorful and pretty!
I also love that you covered your mistake with sticker paper. That is totally something I would do!
I recently added the NKJV Interleaved Bible to my wishlist. I can wait to get one!!!
💖💖💖
PS
Your rat sticker is SUPER CUTE! 🐀
I have pet rats and I like just about anything with a rat on it!
I just love all your creativity in your Bible studying! You have inspired me so much and studying the word has become exceptionally more exciting for me. I am loving keeping it all in my Bible and using my creative ideas to do it. Question: how do you store all your crafting supplies for Bible study? Do you have a designated cupboard or shelf? Just curious.
So excited to watch this, I'm sat here with my bible open and pens ready!! Your new cover looks soooo good!
What bible do you have that has so many blank pages? How fortunate.
Love your Bible, it is so full of your love of God.
Where did you get the info for each book of the Bible? Like for the purpose and stuff?
Faith, could you please give us some more information on the "83% of Job is not normative". I've looked for that information online and can't find it, and would be really grateful for some help on this. Thanks x
You should make your own study bible, I would buy it immediately ❤
Would love to copy your notes and understand how those pages in tbe bible spoke to you but I'm horrible at reading cursive 😂🙃
It's okay it wasnt meant to be lol
How did you make these tabs? Do you have a tab punch cutter
Yes!
Oh my GOSH. I am new to your channel, and I’m wondering if you ever did make the “cliff notes” for each book of the bible that you mentioned you were working on???! I NEED IT!!!!!! 😮
Yes I have you can check them out here: howtofaithalife.samcart.com/products/cliffnotes
You mentioned THE BIBLE PROJECT in this video! This is my third time asking, but could you please consider reacting to or discussing using TBP as a study resource and also the controversy surrounding it? Or if you already have, may I please have a link to that video?
Sorry I have missed the other comments, but will think/pray about doing this! I will say, I haven’t disagreed with much that TBP has said!
@@HowtoFaithALife The controversy surrounds their idea of atonement and God’s wrath, and some of the ideas from Tim Mackie’s sermons. I, personally, didn’t have a problem with their videos, but some friends pointed out the debate on them. This is a video I found about it. th-cam.com/video/Bn3H-q41XbE/w-d-xo.html It would be interesting to know your take on it. I really like their videos bc of the historical and cultural backgrounds they give, but friends say I shouldn’t watch at all bc of they say their theology is flawed.
I find their videos very engaging and their explanations easy to understand. I have watched many videos and would still recommend. The controversy is on the concept of propitiation and/or penal substitutional atonement. We should always be critical of all resources we use. So if their explanation is weak or non-existent for this concept, a bible dictionary should do. Only the word of God is perfect, all other resources are bound to be lacking.
Thank you so much for these ideas! My bible is super small and always use sticky notes! I’ve actually been looking for the Bible you have because I love the idea of having blank pages to dig deeper in my note taking! If you could post a link to a bible similar to that I would very much appreciate it! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for saying yes to the the Lord through this ministry He’s given to you! God bless you!
Do you make all your tabs yourself ? 😍
I loved your note about Sarah!
In the Hebrew language its so amazing
