Like in Fortnite, in 1080p, I use only epic view distance and high textures. Everything else is low/off. In warzone too. But even Witcher 3, I set some custom medium settings, get 60 fps and game looks really nice. I now have a 6700xt and have Witcher 3 1080p on ultra avg 160fps. Do I need non competitive game more than 60fps? No....
For an average of 20-30 frames gap between them, i would say the rx 580 is the best value for your money and not worth paying the extra few hundred dollars just for that. That could change in the upcoming years, but who knows, maybe the rx 580 will still hold strong then too.

Nvidia cards show the sum of the four channels, AMD only one, that means AMD cards should be considered 2000*4=8000 mhz, or in NV side : 7000/4=1750mhz
@@mellamoJean You are right, but there is more to explain. For Nvidia's gddr6 memory it's not only 1750*4=7000mhz, but also 7000*2=14000mhz (effective clock speed). For gddr5 (like my gtx1070) it was 4000*2=8000mhz (and gpu-z showed 2000mhz). So, to sum up, gddr5 memory clock is stock frequency multiplied by 4, for gddr6 (and gddr5x) it will be stock frequency multiplied by 8.
i think this might be a good upgrade for people who do content creation/streaming due to the nvenc encoder and + like 20 fps, where i live i can see many for 330 dollars so i might even pick one up! (i own a 8gb rx580) i could also go for the 6600 but where i live its double the price of the rtx 3050!
It does a lot, the frame rate gets higher even on quality dlss and u can try out a little raytracing as well in cyberpunk with dlss at high or mid setting and u get around 40+ fps
I run my RX580 at around 1500mhz and memory clocks at 2100mhz, a fairly high profile fan curve, 1100mhz minimum noise and +40% power release. I get much more FPS than the stock RX580 in the video, as mine is an XXX GTS Black Edition OC+ (Ellesmere) and performs exactly as a heavy OCed R9 Fury X, right above the RX5600. Indeed, its the exact same card as the RX 590 Fatboy 8GB OC+ but with a lot of room for OC, having a very decent air cooling system. The scalability of Ellesmere is freaking fantastic, as it might achieve even 25%+ performance than the regular Polaris RX580. It never gets past 80ºc with an all-opened chassis. The 3050 is only about 8% faster than my card on average, so definitely not an upgrade option for me.

I found RX 580 Nitro new and sealed for just $80. And you still can play anything with it in 2024. I will think for an upgrade only for double performance for a decent price. Exception when you find a really good deal.
Played Doom Eternal in ultra setting but of course need to tune a bit to match the performance and damn Powercolor red devil RX580 can raise hell. Graphics were very nice to witness.
This is actually hilarious to me how little of a difference there is. 10 to 20 fps is like nothing when you could just turn anti aliasing off and it would be the same.

К примеру rdr2 тянет на ультра настройках в 40 ФПС, Counter-Strike 2 - в 200 ФПС на максимальных настройках, Fortnite на средних настройках - в 70-80 ФПС, Cyberpunk 2077 на средних-высоких настройках - в 40 ФПС, PUBG Battlegrounds на ультра настройках - в 70 ФПС. Сейчас я рассказал о настройках и ФПС в 1080p разрешении, но лично я брал для 1440p разрешения и графические настройки немного понизил, что почти никак не сказалось на качестве картинки. Так же хочу отметить, что оперативной памяти должно быть не менее 12гб (лучше 16), а процессор подойдёт к данной видеокарте почти любой. В моём случае был бюджетный, но не плохой i3 10100f и как видите, показал он себя очень даже неплохо. В целом видеокарта хорошо подходит для современных игр на достойных настройках. Советую к покупке

Rtx 3050 is better card of course. Rx 580 in used marketplace (at least is my country) is just as expensive as (brand new) rtx 3050. RX 580 is still good if your already have one.
i got RX580 8GB Sapphire Nitro+ seccond hand for just $56 and it play games smoothly (my CPU just Athlon 3000G) and i underclock the RX580 to 850mhz (stock 1441mhz) and it stay in 62Celcius after 6hours gaming

biggest mistake of my life: not upgrading my GTX 1050 Ti to an RX 580 (USED 130-140 euro) when I had the chance 😟😟 at least in another 2-3 year I MIGHT be able to get an RTX 3050 in the used market for under 200 euro... what people don't take into account with the RTX 3050 is that you have BOTH DLSS and FSR available to boost your fps!

But anyway, even if it had good temps the one fan model looks a bit stupid to me since it's so short. 😅 I don't mind paying few euros extra for two fans and better looks. I only have case now anyway my plan is to slowly order parts and maybe in 3-4 months i have all for a build.

My rx 580 is clocked at 1411mhz (in the video is @1366). Then i overclocked it to 1450mhz, making the 3050 even more stupid since these cards are 5 years apart
what temps are you getting? I haven’t been brave enough to push my 580 past 1340mhz because I don’t have the best cooling in my case and it sits at absurd temps
@@sloosey temps are good but not the best, it reaches about 80-85 C° , but I had to manually ramp up the fan curve so it's a bit louder and my case has good ventilation (lot of fans well placed for intake and exhaust and CPU is liquid cooled) . Imo all of this is not worth unless you really want to push those 2-3 extra fps. Polaris isn't a good architecture for overclocking in general

Rx 580 still worthy! I think 8GB of memory will not be enough for 1080p just at the moment when the rx 580 cannot show 30fps at minimum settings with fsr enabled
8 GB is enough for 1080p you rarelly ever exceed 8gb unless you use 4k textures.
@@V1vusS 3070 is fine for 4K now. Not ultra, but high settings 60fps is possible for it.
Rx 580 should be good for another 3 years,
But where I live the 3050 is 300 more so over double the price for barely double the performance

3050 on avg 40~70% faster makes it a great upgrade from a 580 , with DLSS and RT it's a decent card under 300$

The 3050 costs too much to even be worth thinking about. Maybe when prices go down and it's under $250 I might change my mind.
In my country (Vietnam), it is currently at 500$ man. This shit price also applies to gtx 1660 Ti. Luckily, I just bought a used gtx 1060 6gb for like 40$ + trade my old rx 570 4gb. Works great at low settings, well, at least for me
My rx 580 is clocked at 1411mhz (in the video is @1366). Then i overclocked it to 1450mhz, making the 3050 even more stupid since these cards are 5 years apart

what temps are you getting? I haven’t been brave enough to push my 580 past 1340mhz because I don’t have the best cooling in my case and it sits at absurd temps
@@sloosey temps are good but not the best, it reaches about 80-85 C° , but I had to manually ramp up the fan curve so it's a bit louder and my case has good ventilation (lot of fans well placed for intake and exhaust and CPU is liquid cooled) . Imo all of this is not worth unless you really want to push those 2-3 extra fps. Polaris isn't a good architecture for overclocking in general

pc variant has 8gb while computers have half that. Same thing goes for 3060 and so on. You also get much better fps with the pc

Ill never understand why this channel does not use Warzone as a solid comparison. Like it or not its one of the most played fps games yet they leave it out over days gone and ac valhalla. Just doesnt make sense especially when its a AAA game thats free.
