Actually now we know he's plotting his escape and is being set up for something.

I think that the reason why Chris Hemsworth did a good job as Thor is largely due to the fact that when playing Thor, he put on the biggest act both in action and voice whereas the rest of the cast were acting out more down-to-earth (literally) characters.

As expected, I completed disagreed with Marcus about what were the best and worst episodes. My favorites were the frat boy Thor and Zombies. My least favorite was the Doctor Strange "what if he lost his heart". Who the fuck ever wondered that??? The episode was way too drawn out and got boring quickly. We spend half of it watching him absorb monsters from a fucking book. Party Thor was funny, and we got a badass fight b/w Thor and Captain Marvel. Zombie Avengers was a really fascinating concept, and the story itself was super engrossing.

The T'Challa episode killed it for me. Yondu did about 20 years of character development in about 20 seconds. Thanos abandoned (though spoke about) his genocide plan despite how deeply ingrained it is in his character and basically the whole episode was just character after character having completely different personalities and motivations. Yes it's a different timeline, but it's supposed to be change one thing not change every single character... Beyond jarring.
Really enjoyed the Dr Strange one and the Killmonger one too (though the character changes at the end of that were bonkers too)...
The Strange one was probably the most coherent narrative because it just focused on one person and one thing, you can believe it and see the progression in a sensible fashion because it's purposefully narrow.
The Killmonger one had a good set up too (ignoring how time works because Iron Man was a long time before and he would have been a child) because it showed touched on immature Tony being directed by someone, I think it ended in a silly place but the set up was pretty sweet.
The Ultron episode again worked because it was basically he got his body and then won, again it's one thing, no one else changed radically or had their motivations ignored (one shotting Thanos was stupid though).
All in I probably could have done without it TBH and will probably forget it exists until season 2

The Captain Carter Ultron and Strange episode were my favorite ones. They're all very simple changes that make the turnout especially interesting. For those who were confused on why Gamora just shows up in the finale without any background. There is a reason for this. COVID screwed up the schedule for the show and the episode where Gamora kills Thanos wasn’t ready for release in time. That’s also why the season only has 9 episodes. But don’t worry, they are planning on doing a second season and including the episode in season 2.

I think you might be missing the point. The whole reason What if? exists is to bring together the multiverse. Showing you in the finale, how all the different universes connect and impact each other, and Strange Supreme has a redemption arc, was part of the original direction, I think. Seeing just an anthology series, set in the Marvel Universe, would be cool, just like Love, Death, and Robots, but the point of this What if? series was to raise questions and anticipation for Marvel's future projects, like No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness. Marvel seems to like to tie everything together, in a neat little bowtie these days, and I'm all for it! Great video as always!

A thing that bugged me about this series is that it was clearly not "What If...?", it was just "Multiverse: The Series"
In many episodes there wasn't a specific event that changed everything (hence the name of the show, and the comics), it was just an ambiguous alternate universe. That applies to Dr. Strange Supreme, Zombies, Killmonger vs. Stark, Hank Pym kills the Avengers, etc.
Also English isn't my first language, it's spanish. I watched some of the episodes dubbed AND in their original audio, and dubbed was way better, because it used professional voice actors, obviously

In the zombie episode, why did Thanos go to Wakanda? None of the heroes were there and the 2 infinity stones were with zombie Dr Strange and Vision, who were both in the northeast US. His becoming a zombie waiting for them to arrive made no sense, niether stone was there or was on its way there. Just kinda felt like a slapped on ending for a shock twist that doesn’t work if you think about it.
