agree. FFXII is the best RPG game on PS2. but the main weakness was that magic casting could not be done simultaneously because the PS2 machine was not yet capable at that time. but after the Zodiac Age this problem was resolved

I recommend to play Grandia II on a Dreamcast. If emulation is your choice, use flycast either PC or Android, they both work great and less heavier than PS2 emulation.
well even then - FF7 was not a great game. people are just blinded by Nostalgia, playing it as a kid. The story is bad, the characters are bland (especially Cloud - he's just a budget Zack) - the music is great + combat is fun. FF VIII was way better - FF IV / VI are better as well

I don't get why anyone would recommend Rogue Galaxy. It sure looks nice, but the actual game is a yawnfest with overly long, tedious dungeons. It also takes, like, 10 hours to renew your ship license or something. I also would take Wild Arms 4 or 5 over 3, HEX system is really _that_ good. The list also sorely lacks Digital Devil Saga.

I would vote absolutely for FINAL FANTASY XII. No way that game was in ps2 era, such an amazing game!

Both Ar Tonelico are awesome.
Ms Saga is good too, but starts VERY slow, most people gave up early. And the dialogues are really stiff lol.
