  • A day in the life of Japanese Master Chef in Tokyo Japan. Working in Japan as a masterchef in Tokyo not only must you prepare delicious food in your Japanese restaurant, but must also throughout the Japanese work day, manage all the different staff, issues and business requirements. Life in Japan for a Japanese Chef working in Tokyo is quite demanding so a Master Chef in Japan must have passion for his work. Life in Toyo for a Japanese world class chef or a Japanese expert chef is also challenging because of the long work hours. In fact, the average working day in Japan for many salarymen or Japanese office workers are quite long, but a Japanese master chef can also have long Japanese work day hours, especially if the Master Chef in Japan has to run multiple restaurants. Japan food industry is also competitive so food quality is key and regular food tastings are a must. Born in Kobe, known for its mountains, ocean, sake and Kobe Beef as well as traveling the world, all helped inspire Hal Yamashita to create a new style cuisine called Shin Washoku, which utilizes modern techniques to bring out the full potential of Japanese ingredients. One of Hal’s specialties is his Signature rolled Kobe-Beef filled with Sea Urchin and topped with smoked caviar. But as master chef, he’s able to prepare Kobe Beef in many different ways making his Japanese restaurant one of the best places to eat Japanese Kobe Beef in Tokyo. Hal's main Japanese restaurant is called Hal Yamashita Tokyo in Roppongi Midtown and in this video we also visit Tokyo Entotsu and Hal Yamashita Otemachi Lounge. This is Japan work day of a Japanese master chef.

      Jacky Phantom Then that’s not a fact, it’s a stereotype. I have the opposite impression; Chinese/korean friends of mine are equally hard working and diligent at what they do. Check what you’re saying my guy; it’s not true whatsoever and just anecdotal experience is a very good indication that your opinion is totally inaccurate, maybe even racist.

    • @platonicexorcism5077
      @platonicexorcism5077 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @platonicexorcism5077
      @platonicexorcism5077 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jacky Phantom Because it’s not the truth. Stereotypes that negatively project “other” people, are usually based around racist stereotypes. I agree that stereotypes have some basis in truth, but in this instance assuming that certain Asian people are lazy is encouraging hate. Have you personally had friendships with Chinese people? Learned things about them outside of the media? Talking about Chinese in a racist way is unsurprising considering we’re in a trade war in the US with the Chinese government, but it’s important to remember that it’s both overblown and doesn’t apply to the people. It’s the government that’s shitty, not the people.

      And that's the issue most people have. They don't know the amount of effort it takes to run a successful business. They think that they can just open a business, "chill" by hiring people, and become an absentee owner. No, to be successful you're gonna need to work 12 hour days. All that 4 hour work day/week is BS for the most part. To get to that point, it takes a lot of effort. If it was so "easy" to be a successful owner everybody would be doing it.

      Seriously. I've been wondering that myself. I'm honestly stunned he was able to get this footage for an entire day right next to the Master Chef himself. Paolo has some real communication skills that could land him a very very good job as a spokesperson if he wanted.

    I think this is the best one i have seen so far (even better than the Shinkansen one!) This guy shows how the food business should be. High standards that everyone needs to meet will ensure that his customers go back time and time again. One bad experience can ruin a restaurant for people. Definitely a dedicated true professional who cooks as well as manages :)

    Paolo I'm so happy for your achievement, I think you have finally found the main attraction for your channel. i subscribed your channel I think when your channel still has 90k.
    Anyway I support this series. Please make more Day in the Life in other professions such as Flight Attendant, Pilot (lol.. i know maybe too hard to find one who agree to this), doctor, nurse, Japanese HS student, Japanese courier, girls who work at maid cafe..
    Oh probably the best, Day in the Life of Maiko in Kyoto

    Did anyone noticed how the masterchef isn't your typical japanese guy that focuses on seniority and age and old time tradition? Anyone noticed how his staff seems so comfortable with him? the first meeting the staff didn't even stood up (which is extremely impolite for traditional japanese), he was the closest to the door and his secretary seems so bright and smiling and not the straight back, hands folded secretary of other people.

    I love your energy in these videos Paolo! 😀 Your videos are so great to watch (and allegedly I may have binged them for several hours today, but who's keeping score?... ☺️)
    I think it is your presence in these videos which makes them very enjoyable and heartwarming to watch. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that for some reason I can't seem to put my finger on, your videos feel very wholesome and make me feel very happy inside while watching 😊
    And additionally, I'm unsure if you've noticed this, and I guess I might somehow be imagining this (but I doubt it), it seems to me that your energy, your super sized smile, your politeness and your great attitude light up the people around you. This might just be me casually mistaking Japanese politeness for something it is not, but it seems to me as if your kind spirit, wellbeing and happiness are rubbing off onto the people around you, and it is most wonderful to watch 👍😁
