If any of u are interested whats an agricultural school like or how it is like in Japan I recommend u watch "Gin no saji" or " Silver spoon". A super chill and laid back anime where a kid studies in an agricultural school.
As an Iowa farmer. It’s weird to me that he doesn’t live on the farm. What if something happens to your cows and your not there? But this is very interesting to see how other people farm.
His father probably lives on the land nearby as it is still his. But the town they live in isn't that big and the son and the workers probably all live within 10-15min drive and can get to the farm very quickly in the event of an emergency. Most likely the son will move onto the farm estate once he takes over/gets married etc. but you can't blame him for having a little distance from the parents with a live in girlfriend, might get weird during frisky nights.
My grandfather was a dairy farmer who belonged to a cooperative in the local market. He once too me to market in this isolated area. I remember he gave my bid of twenty-five cents for a cardboard box of puzzles. I remember doing those puzzles in the cold and snowed in conditions in upper state New York. Lovely family remembrance.
Until you realize that Japan doesn't respect Foreigners, you are an oddity or curiosity at best. Its legal and acceptable practice for housing to flat out reject anyone who is not native born Japanese from renting an apartment or buying a home in Japan, even if they are a permanent resident of Japan or became a Japanese citizen (which requires being a resident of japan for over 5 years for a foreigner, and jumping through so many hoops you essentially need to hire an agency that specializes in the paperwork.)
This is done similar everywhere - also in Europe the cows get it straight on the face. I think it is because they are already so anxious to get food, that they block the space with their heads and if you put it somewhere else they would not be able to reach it anymore :D
I just noticed the CC japanese captions, as a studier of Japanese, these are so awesome. Being able to read them is an awesome feeling! I wish more things had Japanese subs!
I love this series of a day in the life, especially how Japanese are so proud of the work they have, even though they are not CEO of big companies or work in corporations. I hope I see these kind of content in the Philippines as well, instead of seeing pranks, unending unboxing, and home tours. Kudos Paolo!

I love how farming, no matter where you are, isn't just a job, but a way of life. When he said he never has time off I felt that, growing up on a farm, its a choice and lifestyle you embrace fully and all of yourself and time. This was really neat to watch.
WOW good for him for discovering his passion so early! That's really amazing, and the fact that he's so interested about everything just makes it better.
Wow, this reminds me of the cattle auction I went to with my Grandpa when I was small, in South Africa. Amazing to see the similarities, but also the modernisations.
Amazing! Worth the wait, this goes to show how much the farmers really care and put in the time and long hours, but the payoff for the quality of meat and products like worth it
I love this series! It's so interesting to learn about these careers and the people that have chosen them. It's also so suprising to see how relatively pleasant the lives of the cattle seem to be prior to their sale.
I wouldn't be surprised if the next one would be: A day in the life of an alien species on their home planet. Paulo: 'while they are in a meeting discussing how to invade earth, let's take a look at their planet'.
Aliens aka demons/fallen angels exists and the us govt has been in contact w/ these extraterrestrial for decades. Military checkpoints will be set up on us interstates for covid vaccination certification. Camps will be activated. Police state is coming. New world order led by obama and pope francis is coming. Jesus christ is coming back for the rapture. Get ready. Dont believe the coming ufo alien abduction narrative
I love this, coming from the Argentinian Pampas and growing around cattle and farms of premium steaks, I truly admire their hard work as well! I'd love to visit one day!
As a volunteer cattle and sheep farmer on my family's 20 acre lifestyle block, I found this episode to be one of the best, and you've done some good ones in the past! How I'd love to have some of the "toys" Ryuji and his family have access to! It's all pretty much manual labour for me. That said, when the cattle are on the farm here, I only have to keep an eye on them most of the time, since they just forage in the fields on their own (except when droughts arrive, then it's feeding out 3-4 times a day... by hand... with no machinery...). Ryuji's cattle are fine-looking animals, and he sure does have the touch of handling such big beasts. I get nervous dealing with heifers or steers once they pass the 200kg mark, as I know what it feels like to be trodden on by one of them. Ouch. Fortunately, my family moves its cattle on to the sales around the 450kg mark, so I don't have to deal with the "car on 4 hooves" that Ryuji does, ha ha. What a difference it makes having the animals penned, though - makes them much more docile and manageable. When cattle are in the open fields, they get a very "independent attitude" happening, which makes shifting them, without dogs mind you, quite the challenge. The only disappointing thing I found in the whole video was seeing Ryuji and his GF puffing away like chimneys on their "ciggies". I know smoking is still a lot more prevalent in Asian countries than most western ones, but it still felt a bit of a "let down" to see two young people destroying their lungs, while working in the countryside, with those vile "cancer sticks". Maybe he'll wake up one day and "learn" how much damage tar and smoke does to his lungs, before it's too late.
@@confidential5743 Hopefully they are not stressed and fearful over getting covid, but what does that have to do with taking precautions to not spread the disease, like wearing masks?
One of your best videos yet! The longer runtime and the fact that it treats the subject of one of Japan's most important cultural, agricultural, and culinary subjects is just what I'm looking for when it comes to these "Day in a Life" videos.
It's wonderful and very interesting to see just how similar agricultural industries operate in other countries compared to the US. I grew up on a dairy in rural Texas and everything looked very familiar, especially the auction process and how the vets vehicle is super messy! lol.

It really amazes me how well the cattle there are taken care of. Not surprising to me now having spent a couple of years living in Japan on and off but still pretty amazing.
Paolo, I have to say that I truly enjoy this series of different jobs in Japan. I watch them on repeat bcs it´s not only educational but relaxing as well. I hope you won´t stop with this series of yours. Many of us love it.
i agreed .. feel the same way
These Day in the Lifes are so awesome, getting to see the differences between (in my example german) different cultures is what it's al about. Please keep these coming.

Wow! as always Paolo serving us premium quality video!
It really amazes me how Japanese are so humble and hard worker even tho they are the owner of the said company. Not to mention very hands-on in everything regarding their business. And they even have a restaurant!
Thank you again Paolo for such an educational video.
There are a lot of people who are copying your series. But you are still and will always be the best!
Paolo is single-handedly carrying TH-cam for me. I can't find any more interesting TH-cam channels.
Abroad in Japan is great too

I hope youtube doesnt ever screw him over like they do so many other content creators
As a veterinarian I love this episode
i almost thought you said “vegetarian”
This is so cool! I’ve been selling A5 from Miyazaki here in Texas for years at fine dining restaurants. It’s really great to see where it comes from and all the extra care and attention that goes into its production! Sugoi! ❤

If any of u are interested whats an agricultural school like or how it is like in Japan I recommend u watch "Gin no saji" or " Silver spoon". A super chill and laid back anime where a kid studies in an agricultural school.
I love this comment. I just mentioned how much Ryuji reminded me of Hachiken. :) I love Gin no Saji. :D
That anime was so wholesome and cool! Definitely recommend it
I Love That Anime,
My Favorite Episode Is Hachiken Making Pizza And Visit The Family Of The Girl He Had A Crush On
It's A very Good Anime
@@shirahime23 Really? I think he´s more like Tamako tha Hachiken.
As an Iowa farmer. It’s weird to me that he doesn’t live on the farm. What if something happens to your cows and your not there? But this is very interesting to see how other people farm.
My guess is his dad, who still runs the business, lives on the farm. Maybe in the future Ryuji will live on the farm.
I was looking for a farmer from somewhere like Iowa
When you no longer live in the farm, that's the sign that you have made it
@@Waterbug1591 shit taste good
My grandfather was a dairy farmer who belonged to a cooperative in the local market. He once too me to market in this isolated area. I remember he gave my bid of twenty-five cents for a cardboard box of puzzles. I remember doing those puzzles in the cold and snowed in conditions in upper state New York. Lovely family remembrance.
The amount of pride and respect the Japanese have for one another is amazing. Makes me want to live there
Bro, Japan has the highest percentage of suicides in the entire 1st world. It's all a façade.
They're full
If you’re bowing to everyone 5 times do you have respect or do you just have a weird habit with no meaning behind it. You can’t tell really.
Japan is one of the most xenophobic places around. Unfortuantely, not really a place for the rest of us.
Had a bad day and Paolo uploads a day in the life episode. Day got a little better.

I recently had an A5 Japanese Wagyu streak and its got to be one of the best things in life.
This is super interesting! We are cattle ranchers in USA and we love seeing how things are done in other countries. Thank you!
Cow: " I'm hungry"
Farmer: '' Where do you want straw ?''
Cow: ''mmmm, Straight on my face sir!, Arigatōgozaimashita!''
You just killed me 😂😂😂😂
This is done similar everywhere - also in Europe the cows get it straight on the face. I think it is because they are already so anxious to get food, that they block the space with their heads and if you put it somewhere else they would not be able to reach it anymore :D
@@janbening5418 spot on!
I died laughing because he kept throwing the food at his face 😂😂😂

The people of japanese have so much respect and pride in everything they do. Love it
I just noticed the CC japanese captions, as a studier of Japanese, these are so awesome. Being able to read them is an awesome feeling! I wish more things had Japanese subs!
now to rewatch all the episodes! ;)
I love this series of a day in the life, especially how Japanese are so proud of the work they have, even though they are not CEO of big companies or work in corporations. I hope I see these kind of content in the Philippines as well, instead of seeing pranks, unending unboxing, and home tours. Kudos Paolo!
Your videos aren't annoying and very informative and get to the point without waiting my time. I actually really wanted to learn about this and you delivered.
Ryuji: We also pay attention to our own health"
Also Ryuji: *smokes 4+ times a day*
When your job is very physical and time sensitive it's common for you to smoke due to the stress.
@@3darkn1t this does not make sense at all. If you're stressed you do some sport to get rid of the stress hormones. But you're definetly not starting to smoke due to stress.
@@colahunter8180 Its common that smoking helps relieve stress because nicotine gives a sense of relaxation. But yes obviously working out would be a way better option :)
They smoke a lot but Japanese people still outlive majority of the people in the world.

I really like this series. I mean who doesn't want to sneak a peek into others life in third-person perspective mode, right. Keep bringing videos to this series.
I love how farming, no matter where you are, isn't just a job, but a way of life. When he said he never has time off I felt that, growing up on a farm, its a choice and lifestyle you embrace fully and all of yourself and time. This was really neat to watch.
My main guy, back at it again with the Day in the Life videos. Love it.
That is very hard work. I take my hat off to the two for doing a brilliant job and for caring for the cattle.
WOW good for him for discovering his passion so early! That's really amazing, and the fact that he's so interested about everything just makes it better.
As a farmer myself I really appreciate these ag vids!
I just couldn't stop my self by watching a day of a life it's just so good and nice
Wow, this reminds me of the cattle auction I went to with my Grandpa when I was small, in South Africa. Amazing to see the similarities, but also the modernisations.
Amazing! Worth the wait, this goes to show how much the farmers really care and put in the time and long hours, but the payoff for the quality of meat and products like worth it
15:27 At first I was amazed that they were done with work by 7pm but of course they had to come back to continue working till midnight lol
I thought the exact same. I was like "Since when do workers in Japan end their day of work at 7:00pm?!"
this video is actually pretty helpful for me because i'm learning about cattle on farms in my high school vet class
cool!
This was really neat to watch how cattle farmers work in Japan. These cows are very calm.
I love this series! It's so interesting to learn about these careers and the people that have chosen them. It's also so suprising to see how relatively pleasant the lives of the cattle seem to be prior to their sale.
You’ve outdone yourself. I think this is the best one in your series. It’s so cool to see life outside Tokyo.
I really love day in the life series. Thank you so much to put a lot of effort into this video
This was so interesting to watch! There is so much to do in a day working at the wagyu farm. I really love this series so much!💖

One of my favorite episodes! Can’t wait to see more Day in the Life!
I wouldn't be surprised if the next one would be: A day in the life of an alien species on their home planet.
Paulo: 'while they are in a meeting discussing how to invade earth, let's take a look at their planet'.
😂🤣

He's only been working there for 2 years, but he's so knowledgeable about every aspect of the business! That is impressive.
Yes, he even got the degree even though the farm was family owned, and he already knew most of the stuff to do.
Many farmers in Japan actually attend rural high schools and colleges which are especialized at developing farming activities along the usual.
This is easily the best episode you have done.
Sounds like a nice young man with a passion for taking over his Family's legacy, and taking very attentive care for his livestock. Great Episode!
I love this, coming from the Argentinian Pampas and growing around cattle and farms of premium steaks, I truly admire their hard work as well! I'd love to visit one day!
"Attended a special agricultural high school" so this man is literally a character from Silver Spoon??
I was gonna say it :)) he have a girl friend also work in the beef farm just like in the Silver Spoon. dahm
Or the anime called No-Rin.
I predict more likes for this comment in the future. That anime was awesome! I wanted to be a farmer after that lol.
YESSS, MY BOY HACHIKEN!
SILVER SPOON FOREVER 😭
But still even if he's silver spoon he's putting his work sincerely, he's not wasted as most of the silver spoons are.
Maybe he'll wake up one day and "learn" how much damage tar and smoke does to his lungs, before it's too late.
ah YES, i've been waiting for the next episode for a while now .. thank you Paolo for making this amazing series
i just realize they kept so many cats to prevent rats at the farms...
