This time I'll explain how to use たばかり (ta-bakari) correcly.
With たばかり you can make sentences such as:
"I just ate so I'm full."
"A computer that I just bought broke."
"I just quit smoking."

Misa Sensei needs her own language App i think it would do really well. i would download it for sure. plus having japanese broken down like she does would do wonders since most apps don't go as far as she does.
Someone would need to be willing to make it and continually support it with Misa sensei’s consent
I would recommend taking the sentences and putting them into an srs like Anki! That way you can review the sentences as you would in a language app and the act of inputting them will help you remember too.

- 16:43 comparing たばかり vs たところ time-wise(たばかり is more flexible on time, it can also be used for the past quite long ago (ex. "last year" or so).

Hello Misa. Love your lesson! I have a small concern: で particle is used to mention mean/ tool doing sthing, but could I use that when I want to imply using someone to take advantage, For ex 友達で戦う abuse a friend to fight for you, like in a workplace environment. Thank you

@Japanese Ammo with Misa Is there a reason I should use 「ばかり」instead of 「ばっか」? I seem to be having trouble with the proper pronunciation and it sounds like 「馬鹿」instead.

No. 'Spilt' is spelt right. Misa has learnt proper English, as we (who invented the language!), speak and write it in Britain.

I am always confused with 「ところ」It gets into so many different types of sentences that I just lose it, like always.
What is more confusing is when to use で and when to use に naturally. I see the Japanese people struggle with the same in practice whether to say "I will meet you in Wednesday" or "I will meet you on Wednesday" or "Be here at five o'clock". It takes time to figure that out naturally.
I'm a beginner with japanese and I was just about to post some beginner stuff about ところ to try to help you out but then I decided to look it up further in my "handbook of japanese usage" book and now I'm just as confused as you. Thanks.
@@minhashamayim4824 good point now that I think about it, on and in technucally does not make any sense when you take it literally as "meet you on Friday" Friday is not an object rather a day so why do we use on? Crazy how languages work, some rules are just there and we get it bc its our native language

@@kingsmans4741 That is the only way to learn a language properly and that is like the natives hath learnt it, in my opinion. Listening is number one, the rest is just filling the already existing gaps. Some people memorise words without context, that is a very boring and not meaningful way to learn new words. When you listen to a language a lot, you hear souds a lot, sounds repeat often, so after some time listening, you are like "たしかに, hhmmm I heard that before, what does it mean", you look it up or ask someone and the answer is "たしかに". Once you know the meaning, so you can understand, never go back to translating that word, たしかに is たしかに。Simple as that. The thing is, you don't need to memorise that word, cause you already know it of by heart having heard it a thousands of times before. That is how I learn languages after learning languages in various ways, and the optimum method is like the babies learn languages, but it is a long process, but you will learn natural language like that. Learn grammar and study words, helps a lot, but that is not the foundation, that is just to fill in the gaps. Studying kanji is probably the best to actaully study apart from listening and to master verbs is to master the core of the language mechanics. I would say, listening, kanji and verbs is all that is required to learn Japanese like the natives, but it will take like 10 years and even after that you will still be learning, cause of the kanji. Also to learn Japanese like the natives it is essential to go to live in Japan at some point, so from 3 years learning Japanese abroad, 7 would need to be in Japan, in my opinion. Studying Japanese abroad is only a mere preparation of some basics, it is in Japan were a person can actually build a solid foundation of the language. Trust me, I studied Hebrew for 10 years before in my own way and after I went to Israel I understood less than 5%. The 10 years of studying Hebrew in my own way did though prepare me for Israel, but what I learnt in Israel in 5 months was so much more than what I have learnt for the 10 years before, and English is not my native language either, so I speak from experience of learning languages. Some people want to learn a language quickly, but really you cannot learn a language fluently like the natives quickly unless you are some very specially gifted person, but that is rare and still Japanese is not one of those languages which a person can learn fluently like the natives quickly as you know yourself. In the case you have some advice on learning languages, please let me know, I am always interested in new methods and ways of how people learn. I am working on a language learning software RPG, so your ideas can contribute. じゃね。

I heard ガチでa lot of times especially from young Japanese personnes, but I always struggle to figure out what that mean.

I thought you are allowed to use 'Tokoro-desu' such as 'Asonda tokoro-desu' or 'Kono-keeki-wo tabeta-tokoro-desu'. How come it is considered poor or bad?
Can you use んです or のです after ばかり to explain something you just did. For example if you want anted to explain why you are late, could you say something like: ごめんなさい、帰ったばかりなんです
