I am blown away by the production of this video, the writing, the vast cast of characters and the amazing technological explanations! You should try it out using the Sony 200-600mm lens! Thanks for sharing.
This actually looks great and very versatile for my hiking videos, especially when it's an extended hike where I don't want to lug around a tripod. I was actually looking at trekking poles last night, definitely going to look into this. The pros might actually out weight the cons.
Cool idea for a tripod they got there, but the execution could be better. Quick release you already mentioned, and mini tripod base without extending legs. The long legs should be shorter when collapsed to be approximately length of mini tripod collapsed, with twisty legs for faster setup, all so you could have tripod in a small camera bag xD And convertible into light stands and whatnot.
What's so funny is when I hiked up Mount Fuji I used my monopod as a walking stick. Totally trashed that cheapo monopod but it worked really well and stabilized my shots as well.
I can see people buying this for multi-use, rather than buying several different tripods. Even if it's not fast to switch between the setups, it's still convenient to have the options.
I have an Ulanzi GoPro handle/monopod. It's OK on a flat surface but it leans a little. The feet don't move independently so you can't put it on any kind of incline at all. This thing looks similar. I wouldn't put anything bigger than an action camera on it.
Wow. That Ulanzi tripod could reach to the top of the flat earth dome if you wanted to. But, of course, the earth isn't flat, so that idea immediately goes out the window. Gosh darn it.
Can you do some street photography uploads where you walk the streets and take photos with all your different cameras? You can add humour while you describe the photos to us and you can talk about the different camera features that you used to produce said photos. I am a photography nut, not a video nut. I do watch your uploads because you got me hooked on slow-mo squirrel footage that you match up with your Trippy, self-produced music. So, I love your channel. But again, I am a picture first guy.
Cool product idea. Using clamps on the hiking sticks is definitely good for longevity. The hand straps on the other hand seem to miss their purpose. They should be able to pick up most of the force through the wrists, so the hands can stay relatively relaxed while hiking. And are there tungsten spikes hidden underneath the bottom rubber tips of the hiking poles? That detail is lost in toneh on the product page.
I never use the monopod option (unuseable stability) and just convert it between tripod and single hiking stick with all three compressed. Minipod will clamp onto any thick strap on camera bag. Need a carabiner to hang camera bag on three leg straps. My one complaint is it's simply not a tall enough tripod, and could be a little bit heavier.
I was thinking about buying the YC Onion Pineta Peak, but now I feel like in my culture some photographers could probably look down on me from the real Ulanzi Peak sitting in the top layers of the atmosphere
I think Edelkrone should send you their auto leveling tripod (and slider) for you to review. That item looks pretty interesting. This one though, not so much.
The most important questions from this video: Which guy has better hair? Weebles wobble but they don't fall down..... Fun times, I like the quick release system.... have you ever reviewed the Ulanzi Claw quick release system? Is it better that what you're using now?
Darn...I was really, really hoping you'd put that Sony 200-600mm lens on that Ulanzi hiking stick. I really wanted to know whether the sticks would break with enough weight on top. Fun...missed.
My attention span isn't as long as that tripod so I appreciate the short video. Too bad you didn't have a backward baseball cap and rap music "pop n lock". As well intentioned these multipurpose gadgets are they end up sitting in the closet. Rather have two different types of tripods with a quick release head to switch between them. I won't ruin your Ulanzi relationship. This tripod is a Game changer! I'm going to buy 10 with your affiliate link.
As an idiot who tries to combine incompatible hobbies: ultralight multi-day hiking and big heavy cameras, this seems like the best compromise thus far! Unfortunately it won't make it in time for my next trip. Do these affiliate links expire? I may have to give it a shot when I get back.
Buyer beware: If you're not 100% sure about keeping this, the 30 day money back guarantee policy has changed. If they ship this from China, kiss that 30-day money-back guarantee goodbye. You'll have to pay for return shipping back to China and that costs more than the tri-pod. Trust me, I'm fighting them right now and I'm probably the cause of the language change. Ulanzi makes great products but I can't recommend them anymore because of how incredibly sketchy they are with customer service and their ambiguous policies. Got tons of Ulanzi bucks that I can't stack onto anything, too. Shame.
I insured and registered my brother's truck yesterday. You gota be registered just in case. Eating some avocados, only put them in the microwave for two minutes, way way too long. The guy said 888$ bucks, do want to change your name? As long as the cops know who I am. th-cam.com/video/A7waJga9Zdk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cKyT1zvQDKv6Vz6K Paps, wake up paps.

Ulanzi, please make a chair for our good man here that elevates to the ceiling allowing for even higher quality content.
got it

THAT was the best opening in a while. lol!!!
The first sticks guy got hammered by Cripple Hammer for sure
He forged the Cripple Hammer in the fires of Midgaard.
I bet Ulanzi is so happy about the review .... LOL.
They forgot to cross it with a tent too. And a three-legged stool.
Or did they .... ?
You can probably use the hiking sticks to put up one of those ultra light tents that use hiking sticks for tent poles.
If they sent you 3 more legs, you could extend the base and do a mega tripod of our dreams. Drones be damned!
Ulanzi should be happy to trick me as well!!!

Ugg, I hate twisty legs.
This guy can make me laugh already in the thumbnail 😂

The Ulanzi engineers got high again.
2:47 in a not very windy living room 😂😂😂
Take a hike.. 🎉
Anyone else getting Beavis vibes during the intro? "Your sticks are stupid!"
It's time for a Camera Conspiracies x Small Rig collaboration. Potato Jet style!

You have far to much fun making these, hehe
I am holding out for the sword cane version for urban cinematography.
I make hiking content on TH-cam and I feel targetted
'Your stick are stupid' haha!

That wig will be in a museum one day.

You can use it as a fishing rod lol!
7:42
you made my day! 😂
Being first comment on CC is all I live for. Yes, it's that guy.
Second😂
They should apply this concept to microphone stands.
Can they fight off bears or are they just toothpicks for them?
Both, I guess. :)
Only when your camera is attached.
@@TheFlyingDogFish Ha ha! My Sony 200-600 attached to the camera should be able to take down a bear!

Yeah, I retired and want to get back into backpacking, but with my camera. It does look interesting to me.
"Pull down, shove in, let go, and it's solid." That's *definitely* what she said....
They should make a rubber dummy camera that can be used for testing gear that way you don't run the risk of dumping your camera from 4-5ft.
fine for a go pro
I've noticed in your recent videos, your audio is low. So I have to crank up the volume to hear you and when the ad plays it is loud AF.
OH NO!!!!!
Kasey, you didn't try the best feature of this Ulanzi...... 45 foot selfie stick!
"Table chop" 😅
have you seen the new Monopod with Rapid System?
The created a solution to a problem no one had.
Do you also sell used cars?
its great for lighting or second camera phone one of say three controled by tablet...you didn't give the price.
Nice 👍
Still not going outside?
To many bears this time of year 😂
Did you really work in a mine? 🤔
ADMIT !! ON 7:52 YOU TURN CAMERA TO SHOW YOU BLOW INTO LENSE COVER NOT LENSES ITSELF 😅 Thanks God almighty !

2:49 Shouldn't have eaten those beans before
i just uploaded 2 videos and made 700 dollars :D
Amigo we need weights
Intro was epic but you ruined the entire video trying to blow the camera off the tripod. 😂
Work on the eye-line and you got you a banger
