depending on vehicle type,you may to access the fuel tank from the fuel pump port under the rear seat/luggage compartment (if any available subject to different vehicle designs,as not all are built this way) to insert a pipe and an electric fuel dispenser pump (vacuum type) to suck every last bit of fuel out, as any remnant diesel in a gasoline engine will give misfires,even stall, or be undrivable once any contamination gets inside the cylinders through the injectors, you will also need to clean out all the lines with high pressure Air-line,and change the fuel filter too,you may have to disconnect the fuel rail and blow out any remaining fuel in there as well as in the injectors, best to place a small portion of correct fuel into the fuel tank and let that run through the system and drain that out as well, befor finally replacing with correct grade of fuel into the fuel tank.

I’m a little bit confused. Should I hook up the pipe to which side, the motor side or the tank side?

The tank side not on the rail which is with the fuel injectors
