Thank you for the video. I had watched other videos and read other descriptions and was unable to retrieve my code but it wasn't until I followed your instructions in detail (like making sure the display goes off after you get in, the doors are closed, etc) that it worked for me. It's apparently very specific because I did it prob 7-10 times without it working but i either didn't wait for the display to go off or make sure the doors were closed. Appreciate it man
Good instructions once you got to them. You would probably have more subscribers if you got to the point faster, as others have said. Thanks for the information, it saved me a trip to the stealership.
Worked great for me. Used car with no code of course. I tried this before during the day and it was warm, so I left the door open. Your tip that the doors must be closed made all the difference. Thanks so much 🙏
In a mad search to find a solution to my missing door code. Your video was a god-send. I watched like 5 different TH-cam videos and none were as specific as your tutorial. Literally on the first try it work! I don't even know what you do here on YT but I'm subscribing 😂. You saved me a trip back to the dealership!
Was banging our brain.. there were so many videos out there. I got Explorer Sport for Christmas from hubby. I had 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. The book didn’t have the factory code in the book. So since Christmas I looked at 5 videos. FINALLY FOUND YOURS. By far the best well explained in detail for women. Thank you so much.. Fantastic video. Now I’m 4’9” and just had it lowered with H&R Springs. It’s so great and getting a little bit better gas mileage. Thank you for your extremely helpful detailed video
I have a 2017 Ford Explorer and this really works! I had to wait a little longer but after several tries it really worked. Dealer wanted $300 for this!
Thank you so much Sir!! I tried to watch many other tutorials but without success. The Ford representative didn't even mention that it was possible to do it in this way, they only ask for money 😂. Thank you for saving us the hassle and money!
13 minute video for 2 minutes of info... at 8 minutes he finally begins to provide us with information pertaining to the title so jump ahead to then. At 9:46 minutes you can stop watching.
Thank You! Your instruction was complete along with close all the doors and place the FOB in one orientation. Bingo... Our code appeared as you said! Thank you from a New To Me Lincoln Manual-less & Factory Code-less Owner. :)
Thanks for the video. I have a 2017 Lincoln MKZ which was a little different in terms of where the keys go. They go in the cup holders to the right of the driver's seat, the rear cup holder. After that, the pressing of the start button sequence is identical. It only took me one try. As mentioned, the dealership would be delighted to do this for $75 or $100. It's not every day that you find such an easy way to save a buck.
Freaking Genius....and to think I was going to go through the hassle of pulling the fuse block down. My 2017 doesn't have the key FOB compartment you describe but does have a vertical slot on the front wall of the storage bin. Thank you for posting.
woo-hoo it worked i took me a few times but I finally got it better than taking some part under the dash out and getting a telescoping mirror to see the code THANKS much !!!!!
Thanks for video it was very helpful and easy to do. It saved me 90.00. The highest estimate from a ford dealer was 184.00. Ford dealers are terrible that's like stealing.
Thanks so much! This is so much easier than pulling the damn fuse box. However it didn't work for me with the buttons facing in. I had to do it with them facing the opposite way than you showed in the video.
First, thank you for your efforts putting this together. Second, I agree with others here, that you should either link to the part where you answer directly, or link to a diff video made for the nerds like me that may not know what you do and appreciate all the detail. Something for everyone - get you lotsa Subs & Likes, I bet... Keep cranking!
Sir, very helpful video. Hopefully this will be a helpful comment - on the 2018 Ford Fusion SE the actual spot for the "key" is underneath a spill pad in the drink holder, center console. Pull the pad and place each key in the outline button side down and follow the same actions...pops right up like in your video. My only correction - you don't push the ignition button a second time for the second key. The code pops up and you can listen to your tunes. I damn near broke my neck trying to get that code off the fuse box...unnecessary pain! Thanks for the help ;) Jeremy San Diego, CA
Hi fred I have the same car and located the spot for the keys. So let me get this straight. Car off I place the first key button facing down in place and hit the start button. Wait 5 seconds and power off. Place second key button facing down in place and hit the start button. Key code should pop up? Thanks for the help
On ford fissions 2017 you can find the code for entry under the steering wheel side dashboard, there is a label with the code on the side of the fuse box it’s the only fuse box there,,, you will need a mirror or phone camera to access it,, good luck 👍🏼
Outstanding!! My girlfriend locked her keys in the car Friday. She said key code doesn't work. I had to go to house retrieve other faub. She went out of town. Tues I'm going to correct this issue. Let u know how I do. TY
My used 2016 Ford Edge came with only 1 KEY. I will purchase a new 2nd key. I will have to program it BEFORE I can use it to obtain my factory 5 digit access code....correct? Is it possible to program this 2nd key on my own? If yes, do you have a video on that process? THANKS!
I had the same issue the problem is you can only program the new one if you have the two original keys so the new is going to be the third key it is a friggin Ford scam.
Will this work if I purchased my 2017 Ford Explorer and got one original key fob but they ordered me a spare as well. So now I have two key fobs. Does it matter if it’s not an original spare key?
Just bought used, what if it has a code already? From what i gathered, as long as you have factory code, it doesn't matter what previous codes are, right? We are driving or i would have tried....
The code I am referencing is the Factory Code that was entered when the car was built. This code can never be changed. The code you are talking about is the code you can select; called the 'User Entry Code'. That code will be deleted if you enter your own code for the door entry code.
Followed this and other videos to a tee and still couldn't get it to work show the code. Is it possible that because it has the previous owners code, it will not reveal the factory code? Could weak batteries in the FOB be in question? Regardless, I pulled out the owners manual and found the factory code buried in there! Lucky lucky! Thanks for making this video though :)
When you use the first key, count EXACTLY four seconds before turning off and using other key. That is the ONLY way this will work. I tried ten times before I read the 4 second rule is the trick. This worker on my F150 (2020)
@@JamesSmith-wu1qv no... it won't work on the day on mine... but i tweaked my back finding the code under the passengers side.... and of course...I didn't write it down! Ugh. :)
Please please please help! What if I’m doing everything correctly and the code is still not showing up at all? Just bought this vehicle and can’t seem to find that code.
Having only ONE key to my 2015 Expedition, where can I find the five-digit master code? I don't have the wallet card that should be with the manual, there is no writing in the manual and of course it requires two keys to get the sync system to reveal the five digit master code.
Search Google for the location of the RAP module. The code is printed on a label affixed to the module. You may have to get your phone angled in behind something, but you should be able to snap a pic of the code.
Unfortunately, you DO need TWO keys. They must be 'Administrator' Keys, or they may be called Master Keys, by the dealer. If you don't have two Admin Keys, you will have to go to the dealer to have a Key programmed. Make sure to have them program the key as a 'Master' Key, not a MyKey.
You have to have both keys because you're switching them to do this process. If you only have 1 then you will have to find the RAP module or purchase and program another fob
These keys are the biggest frigging ripoff in new cars they are a way for dealers to scam more money out of consumers. For the last 50 years I always managed to insert the key turn and start my car or truck and I could go to the local hardware or Home Depot and have a key cut for $1 or less if I needed a spare.

OMG yes!!! I was getting frustrated! 😡
Thanks for the video. Worked perfectly on the one we just brought home today that didn't include an owner's manual.

On f150 Ford logo goes towards back of vehicle when you put it in the cup holder , worked perfect ,thank you
Thank you for the information! Much easier than pulling the fuse block and trying to read the back.
