I have to admit that I'm rather taken by the fairline range of boats nick, to find that they fit a lot of storage and other essential equipment in their boats and this one was no exception, another brilliant tour!
@@AQUAHOLIC you are very welcome nick, you are also very talented when it comes to describing the plethora of boats you tour throughout each year, no one can do it like you do it!
Thanks for filming this lovely Fairline Targa 47GT for us Nick. As you know the boat is currently for sale with us at £299,950- more pics etc are on our website (for anyone interested) . These are rare beasts these days especially with the light wood 🪵
When you said "that incidentally is a little door, so if you've got young kids..." I though for one moment you were gonna say, "...they can go in there" 🙂(Perhaps a feature for future designs?)
Like driving a top down, fast sports car in Kansas - just for FUN (neighbors are 20 miles apart). Here, it's a sports boat in the ocean going fast - just for FUN. Yup, sometimes it's not laughter that's the best medicine - sometimes top down go fast FUN is the proper prescription. (BTW - be safe, don't drink and navigate and always wear clean underwear - mandatory warnings over). Have FUN... And thanks to Nick and the yard for the tour - Nick, you make window shopping FUN
Hi Nick. There is no need for comparison to other tours. You are number 1 channel. YFS very close 😊 I like Fairline yachts. Good layout. Sleek lines. Large cockpit. In clean condition for 2008. Great video thanks ☺
Absolutely fab boat Nick, these older Fairlines just seem so ahead of their time hence why they are still looking so good over a decade on! I would go for this one in a heartbeat, very nice! Great tour mate 👍🏻😃
Great boat in great condition with all the mod-cons at a great price. Literally all the boat you could ever need! Liked the Blackadder Goes Forth “They’re firing sir! They’re firing!” Comment too. Great way to start the weekend! Thank you as always!
And Thank you Nick for this nice show of this 2008 Fairline Targa 47 a nice sports boat with the open copit great engines good speed a good space in the living area and I like those cirkel showers in the bathroom, that we don't see a lot anymore Thank you Nick a great show for this Friday and I looking out for the next show
I was really surprised by the second ensuite to that mid-cabin, that was fantastic. In fact, the proportions of everything just felt very well balanced, and the saloon/galley areas seemed very comfortable for a sub-50' boat. One or two couples, or a full family could easily spend a week or two on this one with no problems. Fairline rarely (if ever) fails to impress IMO.
And thanks to you Nick for another fab tour! That is a really lovely boat....! Totally love it! One of the nicest Salon and Galley you've ever shown...Every time I watch one of your tours I always think, "where am I going to put my scuba tanks etc." It's always in the second stateroom! The boat is immaculate and was obviously much loved by the owner.
Well if you are in the market for a classic sports cruiser then what more could you want, I have always thought these were brilliant and at a few years old you do get an awful lot for your money. Great choice for a tour Nick.
Im lucky enough to have one of he new Targa 45s which has everything this has and more. But this is fantastic yacht for way way less than half the price of a new t 45. Whoever buys this will be one very lucky Fairline owner. Good wishes to the buyer of this and hope to say hello sometime
To me this is the perfect boat, and I think the price reflects that with many others as this has maintained a high value. The overall size (not too big), yet still get not only two decent cabins but TWO full heads (if one goes down, no problem), high quality - as seen in book matched Teak everywhere inside. Large Galley area and high on the bucket list = large fridge. High spec boat guessing by the over-all looks not too many hours which would also keep value up. Any serious service if I remember correctly, the whole garage comes off opening access up 100%. Shaft Drive with Bow Stern Thruster's Child could pilot this. And the absolute best thing is right under the Stern a Beer Keg Support likely with a tap (hidden from us) top side so you can "go work on the boat for a bit honey."
Honestly, this is nearly the perfect boat in so many ways - particularly for that extended week or two getaway for a couple with guests if they so choose. I really like when you have the opportunity to do these more extended tours of "smaller" vessels - (especially now that it is off-season). What I call the "attainable-relatable" or more affordable dream boats for regular blokes looking for what might be available on the used market ;-) . Because of your videos, I've been able to really narrow down what I like, what I don't, what I would want and need vs. the would be nice but not required elements. The pros and cons lists. I will also add here, I watch many boating videos, of all kinds, and nobody has your unique style and approach. (I watch your other channel too). You have that je ne sais quoi which makes these videos so incredibly enjoyable to watch. We can tell you love doing them and that authenticity, charm and warm enthusiasm of yours keeps us coming back. Thank you, Nick for what you do. ~Alex from Hamilton Ontario, Canada
Another most excellent, well-presented, thorough tour as usual, Nick. A well-appointed, sleek looking boat, with bags of space... surely another contender for Smugglers Blues replacement, though I know you are fixated on open-topped boats!
@@AQUAHOLIC You should have jumped down there when it was in the water Nick, it's much easier to get back up again. It's lovely and warm too, trust me !
Though I'm not fond of the cockpit area, I would buy this boat for one simple reason. The headroom in the mid cabin is amazing. Not many boats that have that clearance. Plus a complete bathroom just for that cabin with the same headroom.
Listening to you reference someone else’s videos is very kind. BUT. I have shown several of your videos to several of my friends and after watching how you go over every inch of these modern marvels, nobody likes anyone else’s videos. Even if someone reviews A yacht that’s more expensive it doesn’t matter even if they have a better production than you the way you make your videos the amount of detail you go into how do you present yourself in the respect you have and especially as knowledgeable as you are regarding everything and anything on these yachts is second to none.
Nice boat. I love the second head in the mid ship cabin. I did notice some corrosion on the chrome steering wheel and some other signs of age, but it is a used boat. I do think they are reaching a little high on the asking even with the nice power option.
What a superb boat. Really great condition and so much for the money. Love the fact it has two decent cabins with great en-suites. Surely a contender for Smugglers Blues 3 Nick? Brilliant tour. Keep it up.
To borrow the phrase,"That's kitted out rather nicely".I'd be very happy to spend time aboard cruising the coasts.TG you haven't started call the chain locker 'the frunk'.LOL.At that price it'll be sold probably by tomorrow, after people see it today. Thanks again for being a gymnast/contortionist and showing us this wonderful yacht.
Glorious boat indeed. I could easily live-aboard and do so comfortably year 'round (though likely not in UK climate). I've been on 50' boats with less usable space and more cramped accommodations and fewer amenities.
As always, thanks for the tour! You're the best! Also thanks for the 'acrobatics' to show the bottom of this yacht. And thanks for showing what's under the hatch in the galley. I was wondering indeed. Looking forward to the next tour!
Hey Nick another great video and another much loved boat judging by the condition and that second bedroom with the ensuite was the cream, have a great day bud
Great video Nick. I have a strange dream about living on such a boat all year round. But it may well get cold in the winter. thank you for your eternal work of filming delicious boats for our pleasure
OK I have to say that was very surprising Lots of room and storage. Great thing about watching your videos is that I know You're over 6' and I can use that to see if I can fit in most of these boats.
The Fairlane Targa GT 47 is a really nice boat. Drives well, and handles sea nicely. I had different engines and layout in mine. Top speed over 40 knots, cruising at 24 knots. Slowing down below 22 knots didn't make much sense as fuel consumption went up due to lack of plane efficiency below 17 knots.
Was wondering nick could you ever do a tour of a life boat the big ones if you can’t it’s know problem but would to see what’s on the inside of them keep up the good work
Liked it with the other channel, loved it with yours. These are great an look like good value for money. Thank you for showing her in your way. So relaxing and informative. 👍
