What better way to start off a Sunday morning than with a new TSL video 🙌
Been a Halloween fan for nearly 40 years and only just realised Tony Moran (unmasked Michael) is the brother of Erin Moran, Joanie from Happy Days 😮
"He came home." is a great line. We are screwed. the whole town is on his list.
Can't believe I was watching the channel when you released the original best and worst of Halloween episode .
I can't believe it's getting rebooted already 😂
More of a redux than a reboot 😉
Loomis is by far the best character. Hes kindof the documentarian for what Michael is about. I do think he feels guilt because he was inable to ever reach Michael and feels he failed him.
Great show
Thanks Amber
Brilliant vid - hope you guys can revisit Halloween 2
Hold that thought
My favorite scene is Michael standing across the street staring at the house. That creeped me out for years.
It's almost time to watch the Halloween movies.
It is..
Fun vid.... Worst part in H1 is Laurie, telling the kids to run out of the house go to the McKenzies .... Then her turning her back and staying in the house. Get the F outta the house is all I would be thinking then Micheal gets up and strangles a goofy walking Laurie. I know its to push the story along but damn. Still my favorite movie easily though. ✌🏼
Wow! I assumed it was so she could distract Myers long enough for the kids to escape. She was prepared to sacrafice herself so the kids could get away.
@@brianlogan4243 Let's think logically here it's a movie they needed a great ending with Micheal, disappearing after going over the balcony it was fabulous btw. The only right move is to leave with Tommy and Lindsey anybody and everybody would of left.
I could never work out why the inmates are wearing hospital gowns instead of white pyjama type clothes 🤔
Fantastic as always. Given how this turned out with both of you having different answers for certain categories, I'd say continuing on with at least Halloween 2 would also be interesting.
We agree!
Love the idea of following myers processes through the movie. Would be a good laugh. Imagine him cutting the eye holes out perfectly with scissors on the bob sheet.
It’s coming…
@@TSLMoviePodcast oh I can't wait for this one. Will be hilarious.
Loomis just assumed the Griswolds were in town 🚗
Do a bob in real life segment segment or do all the original characters from Halloween in real life segment
**Throws bills at Darren** 💵 Just take it! 😜 Anything “Halloween” is appreciated…we had some great times from 2018 to 2022, so it’s nice to revisit old Halloween stuff while we wait for the next iteration of the franchise to come to fruition! 🎃
Thanks Jordan 🙏🏼
I don't think I knew Frank was Animal Control (me too!)
I think one moment that's become increasingly unsettling for me is after Michael kills Lynda, he puts the receiver to his ear. It's such a weirdly "human" thing for him to do
The best character in the Original Halloween has got to be the music!
Ugh this movie sucks Michael is BARELY in it, and there's no blood or gore at all! What a wimpy movie, halloween is truly dead.
Of course I love this movie but see how stupid that argument is? Maybe we should apply it to a different movie in the franchise..
Double take..👍🏼
My opinion worst line Annie says I HATE A GUY WITH A CAR AND NO SENSE OF HUMOR
If you took away the music, Donald Pleasance, and the Shatner mask.... You'd have a much less effective movie with a thin script, generic characterization, and actors way too old to be teenagers (besides JLC).... Technically in Friday the 13th, the young characters aren't explicitly stated to be teenagers while in Halloween they are in High School. And ironically the actors in the first couple Friday movies mostly look younger than the ones in Halloweeen.
26:00 As someone who was hospitalized for a year I can tell you that if you want to prevent your ass hanging out the back, you wear two gowns. You just wear one of them backwards and the other one normally. Whether or not Michael was doing that I don't know.
Yeah, maybe Nick was shy.
@@TSLMoviePodcast lol
Speaking of Dave McRae, your-all's B&W of H5 with him, and then the watchalong, is 100% some of your best content.
Thanks buddy 🙏🏼
Great video guys! I totally agree that your feel and opinion can change for a movie just in general. Halloween 4 for me is the perfect example. I was 10 when I first watched H4 and thought it sucked especially because of the mask , but 36 years later and I love the movie and have many different opinions about it , oh and I grew to love the mask.😂
Whatcha gonna do when the Shape runs wild on you!?!? Brother. lol
Would have been a good catch phrase for the movie lol
I get a kick out of Frank disliking perverted characters because he says some off the wall perverted stuff in so many videos lmao
The setting is the worst part. Just doesn’t feel like fall in Illinois at all. That’s my main issue with it.
Being from the UK I never noticed until it was pointed out to me.
I’ve never been a huge fan of the original Halloween. As someone who adores Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Psycho, I never saw Halloween as anywhere near that level. I put it about on par with the original Friday the 13th. To be honest, it’s kind of boring. I don’t even have it in my top 5 of the franchise. The score is great, the first 30 minutes or so is great, but once you get to the night scenes, it becomes a drag to get through. Not my favorite.
That’s cool Nick.
Not enough credit goes towards the cinematography. For an exploitation slasher film it looks more beautiful than most films today
I completely agree
what did Tommy Lee Wallace say to Nancy?
He told the crowd they slept together in the Myers house on one of the nights they were doing it up for the opening scene
@TSLMoviePodcast omg. Not cool to kiss and tell. I mean be a real man. Play I still respect the dude. Love you guys on here. I thought since I was 10 years old that the biggest mess up was the car was behind Dr Loomis. Carpenter should have had him walking down an alley or something and find it. But I guess that's what you get with $250,000 in 1978
Bob is boring. Who cares about him. He's kind of a jerk. He had a good kill, therefore not around to save PJ Soles. of course he couldn't save her but it would have been fun to see him try.
The entire Halloween series has mostly forgettable characters besides Loomis....
Didn't michael kill Donald in part 6
No? It literally ends with him screaming
Died off Camera in the theatrical cut imo. So yes Michael Myers killed Loomis in Halloween 6
I used to love the original as a child, simply cannot watch it today. It's as slow as molasses and is badly acted and the script is hokey. It's well shot and that's about it. Also absolutely no gore.
The reason why it's slow is to build tension and atmosphere.......this isn't some shit modern day film where it's jumping all over the place to placate people who can't focus. It takes its time.
Badly acted and the script is hokey? How?
It's well shot, well-lit, well acted, the directing is fantastic, Jamie Lee Curtis gives a great performance, Donald Pleasance gives a great performance. The script is tight and concise. And it's all done on a shoe string budget.
"Also absolutely no gore" and THERES how I know this opinion is stupid. Halloween is about suspense and tension, not gore. You're thinking of other 80s slasher films that had gore. The lack of gore makes Halloween stand out from all of its generic copycats because it doesn't need it.
Jesus, just say you don't like good horror films and go away.
@@crater044 That guy's the type who thinks any horror film that doesn't have 10 kills in the first 5 minutes with blood splattering everywhere is supposedly "slow and boring."
@@crater044 take your rose tinted glasses off mate 😂the film's boring. Plain and simple.
@@Xehanort10 "that guy" fkn listen to yourself 😂
100% agree with it being slow and bad acted, Laurie is THE MOST OVERRATED final girl of ALL TIME she doesn’t do a damn thing in this movie this is loomis all day
Unpopular opinion: Laurie is the most overrated final girl of all time
Loomis takes down Michael in both 1&2 Laurie just saves the kids(the ones Michael wouldn’t harm either way)
Love your YT name 😂
I agree Laurie is Overrated
