I live in boston and haven't traveled anywhere in middle America (I know Haddonfield is fake) but literally from the title scene you feel like you are transplanted into 1980s, small town during the fall. the Halloween decorations / farm look are so eerie and sets the tone for the movie. I think Halloween 4 is the 2nd best movie of the entire franchise (including rob zombie and the 2018 film). Jaime, if cast poorly, could have ruined the movie. most kid actors suck. she was amazing, not annoying and there was something genuine and sweet about her. you wanted to protect her. Rachel's look and character were so right I cant even explain it. she looked like the girl in high school who would win homecoming or prom queen but isn't the sexiest girl. the cops do it by the book girl is perfect for fit for what she is. the girl who would steal Rachel's boyfriends, if these characters were real. ok im rambling but just wanted to say everything besides micheal coming from underneath the pick up truck while driving on the highway is awesome. and that scene alone is just funny now to look back on. if you are writing a Halloween type movie.... watch the original, Halloween 4 and the new Halloween from 2018
@Jarred Knox somerville... its not officially a part of boston but i live about 2 miles from the boston garden. somerville is next to charlestown and cambridge.
Yeah they used the original mask for the box cover, the one in the film sucked and the stunt man didn't have the same "shape" as Nick Castle the actor from the 1st movie. It was really disappointing when I saw it in 89, and still kinda ruins 4. The story and the rest of the acting is good, especially Danielle Harris.

For some reason I watch this film a lot when I’m drunk or something. I like it!
It's crazy to think that Halloween 4 has little to no backstage footage, but the horrendous sequel has so much production footage that you can piece the hole movie together, it Even shows the deleted Voodoo magician!
For real I would have loved to see bts footage
That scene was lost for over 30 years lol it just resurfaced in 2020 or 2021
Thank you for sharing this
I live in boston and haven't traveled anywhere in middle America (I know Haddonfield is fake) but literally from the title scene you feel like you are transplanted into 1980s, small town during the fall. the Halloween decorations / farm look are so eerie and sets the tone for the movie.
If you think about it, this ambulance scene predates the Silence of the Lambs ambulance scene.
Very cool. Good film. Just wish it had the mask from 1978 or 1981.
Most definitely one of my favorite Halloween’s
The mask looked better on the VHS box than it did in the movie.
This movie scared me to death as a 5th grader home by myself!
Wow finally after almost 20 yrs i finally learned the true reason why the mask had blonde hair. i remember all these theories and shit about that scene. thanks 😉
Thank you SOOOO MUCH!!! It's so unfair that stuff like this goes under with the out-of-print boxset... It just really sucks.
LMAO, I never thought that the mask in the "Throw Loomis in the Door" scene was PINK! I thought it was brown lol. Shame on me! xD
It's the first one of the serie I had ever seen so it will always hold a special place.
Rachel gives Laurie a run for her money, she was perfect for the last girl role.
Halloween movies are the best scary movies especially around Halloween season. I think I was 5 years old when I watched Halloween 1 and I was so creeped out with Judith Myers head stone placed on the bed . But never stopped me from watching all of the em over and over .
I love H1 but H4 is my favorite, and to me it had the best sounds! Alan Howarth did a phenomenal job with his version of the Halloween theme, and all the other creepy music he put in the movie,he knew exactly what, when, and where to put certain sounds and really made it up to date at that time just outstanding 👏
There one of the sweetest little things that are ever going to live
I always felt this would have been a solid Myers flick if only the mask didn't look so God damn awful. That one factor could have salvaged it for me.
I love it when they talk about how Brady has two girls after him. And they were saying he was loving it.
How could they botch the mask that badly though?
And so it begins 2024!!!❤❤❤
He went on about how tje 2nd isn't referenced but the movie literally says he set him on fire. Now I really wish the Loomis shot at the beginning was done haha
