get a hexprog because the xp400 pro is known to delete or mess up the D-flash when reading the module. Also the hexprog is the best machine because you do not have to remove components or cut traces or anything extra

It's definitely on my list. I do have the hexprog2 but that is just powertrain

@@DallasAutoDiag yeah they are pretty smart making us buy both now. The original hexprog does everything and also does what the hexprog2 does with ECU cloning .

Bro even if this video was 45 min's long, still worth every second👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Since the beginning, I didn't have .001% confidence in autel; the machine has failed me so many times that I know what's the max it will do, seriously this is not a rant but it's painful when you think of hard earned money spent to buy these crap devices & in return you get more frustration instead of income🤔
I believe that xhorse will win this contest but let's wait for the next video😍
Thanks for sharing BRO, please convey my msg to autel, I could have bought something with more value for that much money it's total waste🤨
    Stay Safe BRO🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The autel has its spot among the tools. Actually the I 608 is my recommendation to new techs. It definitely made me some money. However I also learned that it also could corrupt the data on those BCMs. Luckily it didn't in my case as I was able to fix the situation by swapping the chips.

Did you scope all the lines? Just wondered if a signal was being squashed by something else on the board. Ive had that before. Saying that, if the programmer reads the ID it should be ok. Unless it changes the clock signal after the ID read. I've had issues there as well. It wasn't a Motorola though, I think that was a 70F something. Id like to see a picture of the BCM and its numbers. I wouldn't mind having a crack at one of these myself.

I haven't scoped the lines. That would be a good idea. I noticed one thing while editing the video. Many failed reads were indicating a FFFF as the chip I'd, which is a clear indicator that it would read properly.

@@DallasAutoDiagIt just seems strange that all (so far) of the programmers you have tried say they do this MCU and fail. There's a post (unsolved) on MHH Auto with someone having the same problem as you with this module. It seems it could be something on the board upsetting the read. Post the part numbers and if I can get hold of one cheap enough here in the UK I'd like to have a go. This is an interesting one. Good luck anyway.

@@timmehlittleloud2251 This module was done already but not by read write. I still have the donor mcu available. I realized that there is another way to read the chip by going to immobilizer and choose the module and so on. I haven't tried that yet. Gonna do so one day in the future and see if I get any different results.
